Chapter 2248: Power of Kindness I
Chapter 2248: Power of Kindness I
"So, how is the process for the power detecting?" Ark asked.
"It is simple. We just need to resonate with the energy of light that is in their bodies. We will spread it outwards as a pulse and then the energy would rebound back to us if there were something similar." Lilith stated.
"Will that not lead to others detecting it as well?" Adrian asked as anyone that is sensitive to things like this would get a reaction.
"It would but we have you for that. A demon that can open dimensions and travel to any destination as long as they have coordinates are cheats." Lilith stated as she pointed out that they have the portable demon portal at their beck and call.
"Not the first time I have been treated like a transportation module." Adrian stated as he gave space to the two Nephilim.
"You said both of us. Does that mean that I need to do something as well?" Ark asked.
"Of course, brother. I cannot cover the entire world alone since it has become bigger. Lilith grumbled.
"I was just clarifying it to make sure as I was not paying attention fully." Ark exclaimed as he took the baby angel Raphael to his arms.
Lilith then created a magic circle that is made of pure light, but she also created another one that overlapped with it. It was a magic circle made of darkness which amplified the effects of the light elemental spell. This application of light and darkness is why the baby angels are terrified of Lilith because she can use both elements with superior understanding.
Even mages of this era do not have complete grasp of the elements unless they are born with it. Lilith could amplify either light or darkness magic by using the properties of both elements. This also comes naturally to her as if she weaves light and darkness at her fingertips with ease. She was a genius when it comes to using both elemental spells.
Lilith and Ark placed their hands on the baby angel Raphael's head as they activated the magic circle. A faint shroud of darkness elemental energy swept across the area followed by a wave of faint pure light energy. Both of them were natural when it came to activating the magic circle as they did not get any backlash from unleashing a large spell. Still, the two Nephilim could be seen a bit perplexed because they felt something was amiss.
"I tagged the spell to cover the world, but it seems that my calculations and mana input was off. We only managed to cover the central continent and the waters around it." Lilith stated.
Upon Lilith's statement, Adrian looked at the magic circle they used and immediately pointed out the flaw. The magic circle was correct, but the size of the pulse was incomplete due to the fact that the world itself was still growing. She also did not factor in the interference and natural mana that could incur a loss.
"From you magic circle, you would only be able to cover up to half of the world right now. Half is the best but there would also be loss since the elements would also weaken the pulse." Adrian stated.
"This is not good for our end because that means the land, we need to scope would be bigger. Some of players are not affected by the expansion of the land because of the spatial scrolls but it seems that the world has grown bigger indeed." Ark stated as he can feel this when they use normal flight as a means of travel.
"I guess I should be the one to blame since the calculations are off on my part. I guess..." Lilith stated but she suddenly paused mid-sentence.
Ark and even the baby angel Raphael suddenly had their wings perk up. There was a reaction immediately from the pulse that they sent over. Adrian immediately pulled up the map as this would make it easier for him to pinpoint it. The map that Adrian has now is the updated version that the demons used after their surveys. If there is one demon team that is overworked, then that would be the survey team.
"Are you sure?" Adrian asked as they pointed to a spot that is practically at the middle of the
ocean.
"That is the place or at least in that area." Lilith stated.
"I agree as well." Ark added.
"I think that is also correct." The baby angel Raphael stated.
"Since that is the case, we should go immediately." Adrian stated as he created a portal that matches with the coordinates that he was given.
The coordinates that he was given is from a place far out where there are not even islands. Adrian wanted to immediately go there but then he knew that they might have some problem. He thought of something, but he needed to verify it first before he suggests it. All of them entered the portal and left the Angel Gabriel in charge of the other baby angels since he is now grown.
All of them arrived at the location including Lilith as the condition for her help is that she is to go with them. Just as Adrian suspected, they were greeted by a large stretch of ocean upon arriving at the area. The baby angel Raphael felt that they were at the correct place but there was nothing here except for waves and the usual jumping aquatic monster.
"I believe that it might be below." Adrian stated as his first guess might actually be true. "You mean at the bottom of the ocean?" Ark asked.
"Most likely as the baby said that it has yet to move and that it is here in this location. The only things that can be looked at are either up or down. There are no floating islands from this location, so the only option is down." Adrian stated as he pointed to the ocean below.
"Nephilim are not good at swimming. There is not even a Nephilim that is half mermaid before either." Lilith stated.
"Angels do not know how to swim as well. We do not like water because we never really needed it." The baby angel Raphael stated.
"I will call for backup so wait for me here. Scout the area while I am gone maybe there is an invisible floating castle or something." Adrian stated as he vanished from the location.
"Was he poking fun at the floating castle that we used back then?" The baby angel Raphael asked.
"Most likely." Ark stated with a nod as he held the baby angel Raphael while conducting a survey.
A few minutes later, Ark and Lilith returned to the original location but there was indeed nothing in the air. There was not even land as well which meant that the only possible location might actually be down. The only problem is that they do not go well with water, and they do not have experience fighting on the depths of the ocean. A few seconds later, a portal finally opened, and Adrian came out of it with another person.
"I got someone that could act as our guide in the depths of the ocean." Adrian stated as he brought the Champion of Dagon himself.
"Altum has arrived! Best diver in all of Avalon!" Altum stated as he posed with his hands stretching to the right in a slanted motion.
"Yoh! Bro!" Ark exclaimed with excitement as he grabbed Altum to celebrate their meeting.
"Do not move around much. I am controlling your gravity, and it uses more mana with erratic movement. If you do not want to suddenly be squished by forces that you cannot see, then keep the celebrating to one area." Adrian stated which made Ark and Altum tone down their celebration by just giving high fives.
"Is that my brother's deep-sea friend he always talks to me about?" Lilith asked.
"I guess so." Adrian replied as he did not know that Ark and Altum were this close.
"I like him as my brother tells me that all the seashells in the town were given by him." Lilith stated with a smile which shocked the baby angel Raphael as he knows that the former does not like other people as much.
"Oh! Well, he does decorate the guild house with odd treasures he gets from the depths. If you like that then you can visit the guild house to check them when you have the time." Adrian
stated.
"So, what do you need me here for, guild leader? I know you said that you need my help, but I did not get to the specifics." Altum stated.
"We would need you to help us for this mission since it involves diving deep into the ocean
here." Adrian stated.
"Here!? Are you sure?" Altum asked with a face of worry.
"Why? Is there something wrong here?" Ark asked.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
"This ocean is part of Scylla territory, and they are not the bunch that gives warm welcomes.
They are the destroy your boat and kill you type of welcome." Altum stated which made Ark
gulp with tension.
