Chapter 292
Chapter 292 - The Big Dumpling Jia Renyi
At that moment, the man who was as hefty as a dumpling hastily spoke up.
“Mr. Jiang, I'm Jia Renyi. Please, go easy on me!”
Hearing this, Jiang Hao seemed to suddenly realize who he was dealing with.
“Oh, it's you, Second Young Master!”
“Here, let me help you sit down. You're hurt after all.”
As Jiang Hao assisted Jia Renyi to sit, he inadvertently gripped Jia Renyi's arm with one hand.
With his other hand pressing down on Jia Renyi's shoulder, he nearly forced him onto the sofa.
Poor Jia Renyi winced in pain!
Realizing his mistake, Jiang Hao quickly offered an apologetic look.
“I'm so sorry, so sorry!”
“I completely forgot that Second Master Jia is nursing wounds all over. You shouldn't be jostled!”
“I didn't aggravate any of your injuries, did I?”
While Jiang Hao was apologizing, he couldn't help but probe the very spots he had just been warned about.
If Jia Renyi actually fell for Jiang Hao's insincere concern, he'd be a fool!
“Ah—Ah—!”
“Stop—stop—stop!”
“Sss—!”
“Mr. Jiang, you haven't touched the wound, but please, let go of me!”
Jia Renyi pleaded, genuinely frightened.
Upon hearing this, Jiang Hao finally released him, albeit with visible reluctance.
“Be cautious, Young Master Jia, and avoid bumping your injuries.”
Jia Renyi shuddered at Jiang Hao's lingering gaze.
And regarding Jiang Hao's cautionary words, they almost wanted to retort.
“Shouldn't I actually be most wary of you?”
In the meantime, Mother Jia watched her son being mishandled, her heart breaking with each second.
Simultaneously, her resentment towards Jiang Hao deepened.
She glared at Jiang Hao, her eyes glinting with a chilly resolve.
“You little troublemaker, enjoy your moment. Your comeuppance is just around the corner!”
Then, as if flipping a switch, her expression softened, and she smiled warmly, chastising herself.
“Mr. Jiang, please have a seat.”
“The blame lies with me. I failed to properly guide my sons, leading them to act rashly and offend you.”
“My husband passed away early, and as their sole guardian, I deeply regret not having raised them better.”
As Mother Jia spoke, her voice swelled with emotion, and it seemed as though she was recalling a painful memory, which brought her to tears.
“Raising them as a widow was no easy feat!”
“They have offended you and have been punished. They've recognized their errors.
Therefore, today I humbly request Mr. Jiang's kindness to forgive us.”
With that, she lifted the bottle from the table and filled two glasses.
Holding a glass in each hand, she slid one towards Jiang Hao and clutched the other herself.
“With this drink, on behalf of my two foolish sons, I toast to Mr. Jiang, earnestly pleading for your mercy on them.”
Mother Jia then resolutely downed her glass in one gulp, hoping to earn Jiang Hao's trust.
Jiang Hao observed the empty glass before him and the one Mother Jia had just finished.
In that moment, Jia Renyi, seated nearby, witnessed the gesture and quickly rose to his feet, turning towards Jiang Hao. With considerable effort, he executed a deep, ninety-degree bow.
“Please forgive us, Mr. Jiang. I admit our wrongdoing. Have mercy on us!”
Jiang Hao, seeing this, rushed to assist Jia Renyi.
“Brother Renyi, you're hurt; please don't strain yourself. Here, let me support you. Sit back down.”
Jia Renyi, startled, retreated hastily.
“Mr. Jiang, no, please!”
“I can manage on my own, I can manage!”
Jia Renyi hurried back to his seat, and Jiang Hao, noting his reaction, returned to his own seat with a touch of disappointment.
