Chapter 81: Juicy Rewards (1/2)
[Wild Berserker’s Blood]
-Rank: Special.
-Effect:
—> Drinking the blood will increase Strength, Health, and Stamina by 10.
—> There’s a 1% chance to acquire Wild Berserk passive skill.
"Holy shit!" Roken’s jaw hit the floor. "Is this for real?"
"Slap me," Natalia said as she stared at the item.
"Should I really?" Roken blinked as he turned to her.
"NO!"
"This is invaluable. I’ve seen stat-increasing items, but this tops them all," Julian said before he swallowed hard.
"All three physical stats increasing by 10 is big," Lily’s eyes glinted.
Almond picked up the vial and stretched his hand to his left at Lily. "Take it."
"Why are you giving it to me?" Lily asked in surprise.
Julian’s eyes twitched. ’Is he for real?’
"You might not know, but there’s a limit of maximum stats we can have," Almond said. "You should understand now why I’ve given that to you."
"Yeah, that item is useless to him," Natalia said while grinning. "Do these two know about your skill?"
"They don’t even know my current stats," Almond chuckled.
Roken and Julian blinked, confused.
"You brought them here for a reason, what’s the deal?" Lily curiously asked.
"The three of us are going to enter a Dungeon tomorrow. They’ll be my party members."
Roken and Julian looked at each other.
"You were really being serious about that, bro?" Roken asked.
"Of course," Almond chuckled.
Julian clenched his fist, "I’ll remember this favor."
"Just consider us a party, haha. No need to remember favors. I am allowed to bring any members I want, so I chose you two, simple as that."
"Huh? You ain’t gonna invite us two?" Natalia pouted.
Almond shook his head. "Nope. I can’t even if I want to."
"He can’t," Lily nodded as she understood, "GAA won’t allow Adventurers of other guilds to enter their dungeons. I also have dungeons to do, but I can’t invite Almond as he is not part of League of Firefly."
"Yep. But we’ll time our dungeon entry so we can get together once we finish our respective dungeons," Almond smiled.
"Sounds good."
Afterward, Almond looked at the second special item.
[Dew of Arcane Touch]
-Rank: Special
-Effect:
—> Drinking the dew will increase Mana, Perception, and Focus by 10.
—> 1% chance to acquire Mana Crystalite passive skill.
Nobody was as surprised as previously because they had guessed that this second special item might be something like that.
But it was still crazy as these two consumable items gave 60 stat points!
Natalia, Roken, and Julian didn’t bother hiding their envy. After all, it was impossible not to feel envious of such invaluable items.
"Alright, who is going to open this skill book?" Almond smiled as he took out a pitch-black skill book from an orb. "Opening it will transform it into a random skill book from B-rank to S-rank."
Natalia pointed to herself with a pleased smile.
"Why don’t you open it yourself, bro?"
Natalia threw daggers at Roken with her eyes.
"Nah, my luck is shit."
Natalia pointed to herself with a pleased smile.
"Give it to Natalia," Lily said with a chuckle. "She’s the Divine Witch, after all."
"I’m just afraid she will lose that title if she tries her luck here," Almond cheekily said as he threw the book to Natalia. "Well, give it a try."
"Is she that lucky?" Julian raised his eyebrows.
"Well, she got an S-rank skill from the random skill chance that was supposed to only be up to an A-rank skill," Almond wryly smiled.
"Holy cow! That’s another level of luck, alright," Roken said as he looked at Natalia. "Eh? What is she doing?"
"Her ritual or something, I guess," Lily shrugged.
"That won’t help, heh," Julian scoffed.
"Zula, Arrsaka, Voodoo, Zing, Bing, Bong, king, kong!" Natalia spluttered gibberish before slapping the book’s cover and then opening it slowly.
As soon as she completely opened the book, it glowed and started changing as eccentric patterns and designs appeared.
Lightning crackled around the book, looking as beautiful as the blue and white lightning-themed design and patterns that appeared on the book.
[Lightning Dragon Skill Set]
-Book owner: Almond.
-Skill 1: Lightning Tailwhip (S)
—Effect: Conjures a lightning dragon tail anywhere within 10 meters of the user to deal devastating lightning-attribute damage. Causes shock and paralysis.
-Skill 2: Voltron Edge (S)
—Effect: Infuses a melee-type weapon with crackling lightning energy, increasing the weapon’s damage significantly and granting lightning-attribute to all attacks released through the weapon.
"What the fuck?" Almond muttered despite himself.
"I thought it would be one skill, but it’s two!" Roken exclaimed. "Julian, do you know about skill books?"
"There are skill books with more than one skill, but to get one like this," Julian was dumbfounded. "Crazy."
"It looks like Natalia’s gibberish luck-increasing magic is true," Lily muttered. "Those two are some powerful skills, especially that Voltron Edge."
"But you’ll have to learn them yourself," Julian said. "And only one person can view the content, who is you. Only you can give it to another one to view it."
Skill Books had workings of the skill. Adventurers had to learn it themselves by reading its content.
Almond nodded as he conjured a mana hand and grabbed the book from Natalia, "This is nice, indeed. I needed some good attack skills anyway. Thanks, Nat."
Natalia sat there with a smug expression, "I told you, I am the Divine Witch Natalia, and I can manipulate luck at my whims."
"I guess you’ll be opening the random things from now on," Almond grinned.
"I am curious to see how long Nat’s luck streak lasts," Lily chuckled.
"Bring it on!"
"Moving to the next items, they are just materials," Almond said as he took out the two Blood Starmite Ore pieces.
"That can be used to make a solid rare-rank weapon," Roken said with shining eyes.
Almond threw them at him and said, "They are yours to experiment."
"W-What? Are you sure? Each one can easily cost over two hundred thousand gold coins!" Roken was taken aback as he caught the ore pieces.
"Yeah, just take them and use them to get more experience with your sub-class. As for the Rare-rank and Super-rank herbs, can I let you handle their sale, Julian?" Almond asked. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
"I can do that," Julian nodded. "Our branch will buy them. Herbs are precious to make potions. If these Herbs are something that we haven’t acquired before, we must let GAA get their hands on it."
"Some herbs have seeds hidden in them," Lily said. "So close inspection of herbs is a must because we can grow them here if we get the seeds. That’s a huge benefit."
"That’s interesting," Almond raised his eyebrows. "But they would require more than just regular air, water, and sun, right?"
"Yeah, they need tons of magic crystals," Julian nodded. "We already have a garden in our GAA branch. The dungeons are assigned properly so they can farm magic crystals from killing monsters and finding Magic Crystal Veins."
"Nice," Almond said as he moved to pick up the next orb. "This one has Super-rank material. Sorry, but I won’t give this to you, Roken," he said with a smile as he got an idea.
"Now that I got the skill book and this Super-rank material that’s of lightning-attribute, I am going to use it to commission a good sword."

"That’s a good idea," Lily nodded.
