She stood there as Ling Tian examined the injuries on Drake's face and shoulders. Apart from that, there are some very distinct injuries on his back. Exactly above his tail bone. Two injuries. They were clearly there because Rashma locked her legs by digging her heels into there.

Samil. This one is an interesting individual. He is one of the pure mages of the academy and he is of wind element at that. He is really good with his ability control and is very big on combat. Only, his movements are a bit unconventional.

He is still levitating though. He is in a lotus position and looked like he is sitting in the air. He had his eyes closed. His long hair fluttered gently as if they are responding to his slow and rhythmic breathing. He just had that gentle aura around him.

Where as Crow… he held his daggers and stood there with his usual dark and menacing aura.

Crow is considered the best among the Middle stage students among the second graders. He is also the leader representing the student council from the second grade. It is safe to say that he didn't get that position because of his pretty face, because he didn't have one.

He is good at combat.

The only mistake he had done was boldly fight White in the arena during the freshman admission test and lose.

Samil once again used the same tactic. However this time, the compressed air is followed by a wind blades that are conjured behind Crow and came at him.

If he moves back because of that air cannon, he will fall right into the path of those wind blades, even if he didn't and stops in his tracks, the blades will get him. He has to dodge by going down or block the wind cannon completely and move forward.

That's what everyone thought. That appeared like an obvious approach. But to everyone's surprise, Crow made a weird move. He leaned backwards by charging at the wind cannon with his legs. When they made contact.

A sharp explosive sound, almost like a muffled bullet sound came before he shot himself towards the wind blades. Even Samil is taken aback. Before he could react, Crow kicked a wind blade in the air.

Wind blades emerged out of nowhere as they swarmed Crow trying to hinder his advance. They covered Samil completely not even leaving a small gap for Crow to exploit. Meanwhile, Crow is deflecting the wind blades by kicking them and using them as stepping stones.

His speed aside, if not for the contact between him and the attacks, and its subsequent energy release, it would have been hard to trace him. Sam had to activate his energy vision and use it at full strength to even see the energy tracks left behind by crow.

Its like he perfectly blended into the area.

Repel style is also very close to this, but the repel style doesn't diffuse the attacks, it just makes them slip to the side.

This could be considered a completely new style, its just Sam has no word to name it.

Samil still hasn't opened his eyes. A condensed wind sphere faintly visible to the naked eye is revolving around him. Wind blades and wind cannons are being shot from it in addition to the ones that are being conjured all over the arena.

Since the start he didn't open the eyes and only increased his control over the wind in the arena.

Crow on the other hand didn't even step on the ground one time. It is not like he is levitating, he is just moving around the wind blades like a pinball.

"Seems like Samil is going for a long lasting battle. He will win in that case without revealing any of his attacks."

Sam heard one of the other participants muttering.

"Well, you know how Samil handles things. I don't even remember seeing with his eyes open or even standing up in any battle in the past few months. He would just let the opponents breeze out if he could help it."

"Yeah, sometimes I don't understand if he just cocky or straight up lazy."

Sam couldn't help but smile at this. Because he knew these guys are on point with their speculations. Samil is lazy and just to keep him image, he guises his lazy sitting in the air as meditation. But most of the time it is ignored by his peers as he is constantly controlling the wind and the people who could notice don't bother with it.

There are many good reasons for him to be lazy. However, the main point is that when he does get serious, and Sam has seen how serious he can get, he has tendency to wipe everything out. He is actually intrigued by how it will play with Crow.

From the looks of it, Samil is moving dangerously close to being serious since no matter how many attacks he launched, he is unable to catch Crow, while Crow is doing justice to him name as he flew in between those attacks.
