Chapter 89: The Plateau Period of Weight Loss
Chapter 89: The Plateau Period of Weight Loss
Abigail hung up the phone, and her previously gloomy mood improved.
She always believed in Lawyer Jones’s ability, otherwise, she wouldn’t have used her past connections to invite him.
Sure enough, he did not disappoint her.
Her tense heart relaxed slightly. After practicing boxing with Elder Piers and taking a shower, she went to the dining room and was greeted by a rich aroma.
Upon entering, she saw braised carp, squirrel fish, and fried fish on the dining table. While she stood in a daze, the cook brought over a bowl of crucian carp soup, and the fragrance wafted from the soup.
Unconsciously licking her lips, Abigail looked at the cook, “A full fish feast?”
“Sort of, the Second Young Master ordered it.” The cook replied and went back to the kitchen, leaving Abigail staring blankly at the various fish dishes on the table.
She couldn’t tell whether to laugh or get angry.
Rich people’s young masters have unique thought processes.
Despite her complaints, Abigail enjoyed the food immensely.
The thick soup was milky white and smelled enticing; the squirrel fish was sweet but not greasy, leaving a fragrance in the mouth; the braised fish had its bones removed, refreshing but not spicy; the fried fish was crispy, and Abigail enjoyed it to the fullest.
Her impression of Brandon Piers improved slightly. Thinking of the Facebook she added earlier, she casually sent a message, “Thanks for the fish, Second Young Master.”
Although it wasn’t a koi.
…
In the study.
Pullan handed the phone to Brandon, “Miss Abigail thanked you for the fish. Should I reply?”
“No need,” Brandon replied indifferently.
After hearing this, Pullan put away the phone and was about to leave, but then the Second Young Master spoke again, “I’ll manage this number myself from now on.”
“?” Pullan’s face was full of question marks. Wasn’t the Second Young Master always annoyed by these social interactions?
While pondering the reason, Pullan found himself forcibly logged out. Scratching his head, he thought the Second Young Master’s behavior had become more and more incomprehensible recently.
“Leave.”
Brandon, who logged in successfully, saw Abigail’s message and opened the recent surveillance footage of the dining room. He saw the chubby girl eating like a little hamster, looking very satisfied.
The bad mood that had plagued him since the evening inexplicably smoothed out.
Holding the phone for a while, he typed, “Don’t think about little Red anymore.”
“Little Red?” Abigail was puzzled.
“The koi that looks the most like you,” Brandon replied in a good mood.
There was no further response.
As he processed documents, Brandon occasionally glanced at his phone, realizing that the chubby girl really wasn’t planning to reply again.
He felt a sense of being ignored and displeased.
In the nursery, Abigail felt bored. The dignified Second Young Master of the Piers family named a fish little Red and kept making fun of her weight. Was this amusing?
Abigail threw the phone aside and focused on soothing little Teddy.
After the little one fell asleep, she took out a yoga mat and started exercising.
It had been two months since childbirth, and she had lost thirty pounds, but because of her large size, this thirty-pound loss was hardly noticeable. Her body had reached a plateau.
Women experience a phase of virtual bloating after childbirth. Once breastfeeding ends, the weight would quickly drop as the body’s functions recover, returning to pre-pregnancy levels.
However, some people gain so much weight during pregnancy that the weight loss becomes very limited, and Abigail’s body was one of those cases.
After stopping at 170 pounds, the number hadn’t changed for five days.
Abigail felt anxious.
She was still eighty pounds away from her goal. This eighty-pound requires high-intensity exercise combined with a fat-loss diet, but she couldn’t do high-intensity exercise or follow a fat-loss diet.
Teddy needed a large amount of breast milk, and her postpartum body couldn’t handle high-intensity training.
Her weight loss journey had been extended by a whole year.
During this year, no matter how hard she tried, her weight could only be maintained at a minimum of 150 to 170 pounds.
The thought was very depressing.
