Reincarnated as a Son of the Sword Saint and the Sage

Chapter 412: Not Fair For Her

Throughout my life, I had been carefully hiding my very secret from everyone. It was a secret that I was actually not originally from this world and was one of the very few individuals who reshaped this world through inventions and introducing new concepts.

Those people were essential for the development of the world, and there were few who speculated about their similarities and chronological patterns. It had been the hypothetical time for the arrival of that newest individual, and there were a handful of people or groups who wanted to take custody of them for their own interests.

As one myself, I absolutely did not want to be used and seen as a beneficial tool. I was very satisfied with my current situation, my family, and everything, and there was no way I would deprive myself of my loved ones.

But despite my efforts to hide my secrets, they were seemingly not enough to fully cover my facade. I had been reminding myself not to overdo; however, my hidden urges to showcase my greatness persisted, and my family now possessed the most advanced technology available.

Standing before me, Iris just casually uttered that I was an otherworlder. She said that she had been looking for the otherworlders for probably a long time. I knew that we were interesting and fascinating, but I had to ask just to be sure.

"Whether I am an otherworlder or not, why are you taking so much interest in them? Are you considering them a threat in any way?"

"If you don't know, I am not the type of person who meddles in the mortal world's affairs. Even if they were a threat to this world or not, or whatever they wanted to do, I simply won't stop them. But it's not like any of them could be considered a threat anyway. It's just that... I am curious about the other world."

"I see. I haven't heard something bad happen to them, so you are probably telling the truth. But that doesn't mean that I mean no harm to them."

I could not be sure about the sincerity of her words. If my Mind Dive could only see the memories of her current life, then peeking through her real consciousness would be impossible.

She must have some sort of anti-reconnaissance ability that was powerful enough to block my Ultra Skill: Eye of Providence. It meant that it was actually more powerful than the dungeon-looted device Melville equipped that interrupted analyzing skills up to a unique level.

"I understand that my words are hard to believe. But despite all the terrible things that I have done to you, I really loved you, Raphael. I want to regain your trust again. You can ask me anything. I'll promise I'll be honest."

"..."

We looked into one another's eyes, and her eyes were telling me how sincere and serious she was. Contrary to what she believed, she actually did not lose all my trust. I was just shocked and a little bit upset by what she did. I still loved her, of course, so I should be using this opportunity to learn more about her.

Wait a minute. I suddenly thought that I had almost forgotten something important. Earlier, Iris said she sent a dragon to me. If that was the case, then that must be related to that. With that, I knew what to ask first.

"Alright, I'll give you another chance since you promise to answer me honestly. My first question is... Are you also the one who ordered the Darkness Ancient Dragon to serve me?"

"Yes, I am."

She answered without hesitation!

"Why?"

"I plan to show myself to you later on, so I presented a gift to you in order to build the foundation of my credibility. But I think everything won't work as we intended."

"And that gift was a frickin legendary dragon! Probably the most powerful being on the continent! And that thing was a huge pain in the ass to handle!"

For some reason, I realized I just raised my voice, even though I was not the one the one who yelled. But I felt like it was not out of frustration or me being mad at all. It was more like a sudden outburst of overwhelming feelings.

"I am sorry for what happened at that time, Raphael; it was my fault for not describing you properly. Also, it seemed like I inflicted so much damage in that dragon's mind and vented its anger on something else."

"It's good that you made her realize what she was doing before I could kill her."

"Thankfully, I took heed that the world stopped and made it in time. So how's my gift for you, Raphael? Do you like it?"

"Not only do I like your present, but I also love her, and I have made wonderful memories with her."

"After giving her a human form, you named her Czarina or something, right?"

"I really don't like being observed, but I have to thank you for giving me the opportunity to have Czarina. I think you are actually nice, I'll give you that."

Perhaps she was actually telling the truth, saying that she meant no harm to people like me. Giving me something as big and grandiose as the legendary Ancient Dragon of Darkness herself was too much for me to have.

Czarina put my life in danger when we fought, obviously, but that was nothing compared to the joy and pleasure she had been giving me. Moreover, because of my encounter with Czarina, I was able to push myself to the limit while subsequently gaining several powerful and useful abilities.

If it were not for Iris's intervention, I would have ended Czarina's life and would not have been able to feel her warmth every time we slept together. I was greatly satisfied with someone as powerful and beautiful as Czarina to serve and love me, and it was all possible because of Iris.

After spending some time thinking, I finally decided to trust Iris's words. It was not because my gut was telling me, but rather because I trusted and loved her. With that, I flew toward her before I landed and stood beside her.

"Well then, Iris. I realized that you are the only one revealing your secrets, and I think it isn't fair. I will tell you my secrets if you show me who you really are."
