Chapter 141
141 Chapter 141 – Cutting off people
Feng did know what she was feeling at this point. After having a go at Claudius, her mind should have calmed down, but it became a jumbled mess. She hated how she felt.
‘I don’t like that guy so why did I get so pissed off?’
She sat down in a corner without any regard for others and just stomped on the dried leaf on the ground.
Maybe it was the fact that she silently associated this guy as her friend. He had been dropping by their house regularly and he was not that intolerable.
‘Fuck this. I don’t care if he liked Clarina. It’s that guy’s fate to fall for her anyway. I shouldn’t meddle anymore. Let him have his puppy romance or anything ill just mind my business and protect my own family. No one else matters. Not Yubiri or that Claudius.’
With the thought of Yubiri she got a slight headache. That guy had been relentlessly chasing after them. He even went ahead and infiltrated the duke’s household.
And then there was Elle. She was blindly in love with that man.
Feng had hoped that the young girl would just have a passing romance but who knew Elle was so strong in this regard. She was so sure that she saw their future together and was going ahead with her love.
Feng sighed loudly. ‘Everything is going to the drains. The plot... oh fear it will reverse Yubiri will turn ad fall for Clarina and we.. the Rofles family and the Lineti family will become the villains that will induce their feeling for each others.
.....
They were the catalyst.
That’s all’
It really really infuriated her so much.
Feng stomped on the dead leaf even more imagining it as Clarina. just then a pair of dirty boots appeared in front of her.
“hey, why did you run off without? I was searching for you,” Claudius raised a brow. “after hitting me so much you didn’t even say sorry and ran away. Isn’t that the etiquette you were taught?”
“I was taught to be kind to the people Who deserve it.’ She did not even look up at him.
‘its best that we put as much distance as possible. There is no chance in hell that I’m going to be friends with him. Never.’
She stood up, patting his pants. “I’m very sorry sir Claudius it was my mistake that ii hit you too hard. I’ll make sure not to repeat that mistake.” She slightly bowed and walked away.
“whoa wait why are you being so girl-like? That’s not like you at all,” he rushed up and stood in her way.
Feng just looked at him dully. “sir just complained that I lacked etiquette so I am portraying the most graceful smile I can muster. So please, kind sir give way.”
“you’re angry.” Claudius mumbled biting his lower lip. “You don’t have any flaws in your etiquette... you are perfect the way you were before you don’t have to act so kind to me. It giving me goosebumps.” He showed her his forehead
“oh, I see,” Feng once gains cordially smiled at him.
“God that smile crepes me out. You must be really angry with me.”
Feng lost her patience dealing with this bozo.
Pushing past him she walked away with Haily right behind her.
“Hey! Feng! Don’t be like that. I was only joking! I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.” He ran up to her but Haily held up her hand.
“I would suggest young master to stay at least a few steps away from our lady. It’s good etiquette after all,”
“oh god, I didn’t mean that! Feng! I didn’t mean it in that way. You... you just talk to me.” He desperately cried.
Feng coldly peered back. “sir Claudius it would be better if we kept a good distance from now on. It’s all for the good. Please don’t approach me or try to talk to me. I shall never respond to any of your words either. Let’s part ways right here,”
“Wait, wait! No! I do wish to part way! You’re not just angry about my words. So tell me what I did wrong. I can rectify it. I can...”
“No, you don’t have to go through such troubles, kind sir. We are different people with different personalities. I just think we do not blend well. Sorry,” Feng walked away with a hint of remorse in her heart.
Claudius though was left speechless. ‘I relay messed up....’ for the first time in his life he became anxious. He did not know what to do. How to correct the mistake he did.
‘First I need to know what mistake I did to rectify...’
“Sir Claudius?” a soft voice pulled him out of his thoughts
Young girl dressed completely in white stood behind him. Her blond curly hair was tied up into a small pony tail away from her face and she was holding a parasol over her head.
She gracefully bowed.
Claudius looked at her with impatience. “I have something to do. I do not have any time for pleasantries, sorry,”
“Wait sir, you look like you are troubled. why don’t you share your troubles with me? I can help.” She kindly smiled up at him.
Claudius just frowned deeply. He did not wish to talk to her.
Why?
Because this girl was associated with a very dark embarrassing moment in his life. Just looking at her clean face and that soft smile he couldn’t help but remember that moment.
Right before the training session, they had to change into a different pair of clothes. So, Claudius had to run into the changing room. It was quite crowded so he had stupidly decided that he was going to change in the private bathroom.
He had never used the private bathrooms in the school before, so he blindly entered on that looked very beautiful. The insides were decorated with beautiful pink roses and smelled quite fruity.
He had quickly changed his clothes and came out slowly when he almost ran into this blond-headed girl.
She had looked at him in shock and with a bit of mirth in her eyes. ‘Sir.... This is a women’s private room. What were you doing in here?”
Claudius was mortified! He ran away without looking back!!!
From then on, every time he met that blond girl she would give him that same mocking smile.
His face heated up in embarrassment just thinking about it.
“I do not need to consult with a stranger. so please don’t try to act comfortable with me. because It’s making me very uncomfortable.” Saying so he hurriedly left.
Clarina silently gritted her teeth and stomped her foot. Her friends who were hiding to give them both privacy all came up to her.
“Lady Clarian why did sir Claudius run away again? He must be super shy to even look at your face. Did you see his flushed cheeks?” Fiona nudged her softly. “He must be in love,”
Clarian hid her slight annoyance and gave a shy smile. “We are too young to be talking about this,
“What is too young? We are bound to get engaged by the age of fifteen and married at sixteen. Isn’t it normal to find someone you like at ten?” Fiona smiled brightly. “Clarian you are such an angel that men fall for you left and right. Even the prince seemed to take taken a liking to you,”
Clarian cupped her mouth with a bright flush n her face. “shhh don’t talk about him, like that. No one knows how our eminent prince feels like its not good to speculate about his feelings,”
“eh eh...” Fiona just giggled and they continued on with the stroll.
In the distance, Ethan and Aiden had heard everything the girls just discussed.
Ethan glanced at his brother with a slight face of disgust. {‘we should ban Claudius from entering the house for sure. even if I had to hug and kiss the duke, I will do that...,’}
{‘I was thinking the same. The next time he tags along, we shall just ignore him. I never liked that red headed midget anyway,’} Aiden scoffed.
In fact, they both share the same class schedule as Claudius. And their tutelage with the principal ended much faster as the old man snoozed after an hour or so. They had been roaming around waiting for Feng.
They spotted her the moment she exited the building but since they wanted to surprise her they hid around and followed her.
they had also witnessed the small scuffle between Feng and that annoying red-headed guy.
Ethen anxiously bit his lips. {‘why do you think Feng got pissed off with that guy? Do you think she likes him?’}
{‘more than us? Never! That guy must have done something to infuriate her. Did you see the way she pushed him away? I’m pretty sure any feeling she had for him is dead and under six feet in the ground.’} Aiden confidently uttered in their mind link. {‘plus, I’m pretty sure she is in love with me.’}
Ethan just chuckled with a slight glare on his face. {‘you’re really that condiment huh? I’m pretty sure Feng likes me more.’}
{‘no way, she likes me. Did you see the way she blushed this morning? it was because I flirted with her.’}
{‘ill flirt with her too! She will blush for me too!’}
They both argued all the way as they followed Feng. But they really couldn’t come to a conclusion.
Because Feng loved them both equally.
