Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 252: Cool Wind

Upon being held by Zhao Xin, added to her question, Xu Feng was amused.

It would be a surprise if she didn't ask him such a question after he had revealed this astounding news.

After all, he was just an orphan without any background. Yet in the blink of an eye, he displayed movement that should have only been possible in movies and dramas.

Not to mention, his courage and boldness in the party today had completely shattered her perspective of him.

Anyone would have been astonished when the supposed person you knew had changed so much instantaneously. Had it been a gradual change, it would have been acceptable, but that was not the case.

"Can you release your grip first, Miss Xin?" Xu Feng asked, glancing at her hand that was tightening his arm. It was as if she was afraid he might escape the moment she released her hand.

"Oh… apologies," Slightly embarrassed, Zhao Xin quickly released her grip.

As she released the grip, it became evident that Xu Feng's suit had been wrinkled as a result.

'What did she even eat?' Xu Feng was speechless at her strength. Thankfully, he was strong, otherwise, his arm might as well have been squeezed to death.

Upon seeing how Xu Feng was staring at the wrinkles of his suit, Zhao Xin coughed softly and said, "I'll repay you with three new suits."

"No need, just a bit of wrinkles only." Xu Feng shook his head, unwilling to receive more free stuff from her.

Previously, he was only a poor orphan on the surface, so receiving them without any concerns was natural. However, now that he revealed some skills in front of her, he needed to maintain a proper distance.

Meanwhile, Zhao Xin easily understood his mindset. Thus, she could only sigh softly and nod.

"Very well, but can you tell me if you're related to Lin Feng?" She questioned. Both were named Feng and they appeared out of nowhere, just like how Xu Feng had displayed his boldness and skills.

And having witnessed his ridiculous movement, she realized why he was unafraid.

"If you mean the Lin Feng that assisted the Silver Wind guild, then yes, I have heard of him." Xu Feng calmly said.

"As for whether I'm related to him, that's a bit far-fetched."

"Far-fetched?" Confused, Zhao Xin tilted her head slightly to the side, clearly not following his meaning.

Xu Feng glanced left and right, before walking closer to her and whispered softly, "I mean, we have the same boss, but we operate in two different departments."

A look of astonishment appeared on her expression. Never once did she think that Xu Feng would be working for the same boss as Lin Feng.

"What is your in-game name then?" Zhao Xin asked, clearly wanting to investigate him deeper.

"Uhh… I'm currently undergoing a secret mission from my boss, so I'm not allowed to disclose my in-game name." Xu Feng responded.

"Is that so?" Narrowing her eyes, she obviously found him suspicious.

"Ugh, this is just an exception, okay. You're not allowed to disclose it to anyone." Knowing that he wouldn't be able to brush her off, he decided to come up with a random name. "My in-game name is Cool Wind."

"Cool Wind?" Stunned and baffled, Zhao Xin had to take a step back and give a quick scan of him.

"You are cool?" She questioned, trying to suppress a laugh in the process, but failed miserably.

Sure, he wasn't ugly, but to describe himself as cool was truly far-fetched.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng merely adjusted his glasses and called for Vera to pick him up.

"Kai is probably going to spend a long time with your grandfather, so I'm leaving first."

"Understood, and thanks for your assistance." Zhao Xin stopped her laughter and held a solemn expression. She wasn't stupid and knew everything that Xu Feng did from the very start was paving the road for Zhao Kai.

Aside from taking the burden of the accusation, he even went as far as to humiliate Zhao Kai's stepbrother and father, drawing a clear line between him and them.

At the same time, he managed to change her grandfather's perspective— something that she had been trying for a long time.

"No need to look at me with a grateful expression." Xu Feng chuckled, "If Kai gets to return to the Zhao Family, it means I can officially leech him hard."

"You damn scoundrel…"

Despite saying that, she still held a smile on her face as she watched Xu Feng hop into his vehicle.

No one else knew better than herself how much effort she used to gain her grandfather's approval for Zhao Kai.

As she stood in place, watching Xu Feng's car leave the venue, her expression gradually turned cold.

"It's time for those guards that accused Kai and Feng to pay up." She mumbled, retrieving her phone and dialing a number.

The moment the call connected, a respectful voice echoed, "Is there any problem, Miss Xin?"

"Did the guards confess who they were under the orders of?"

"A-Apologies Miss, but during the torture, the guards killed themselves and we were unable to extract any useful information.

"Useless." Zhao Xin coldly snorted. "Check the guards' families, friends, or even relatives. I don't care about the process, but I want to see what kind of benefit they gain as a result of their actions."

After she finished her command, she disconnected her call. Since these guards dared to betray her and work for someone else, then they should have been prepared that she was not going to let this matter rest.

Xu Feng might have resolved the situation, but what if he didn't?

Then wouldn't her little brother be ruined by the mastermind hiding behind the shadow?

'Want to target my close ones? Then suffer from my wrath.' She sneered inwardly, turning around and heading back to the venue. Simultaneously, her previous murderous and cold aura vanished, replaced with a joyous and blissful expression.

While Zhao Xin was ready to take back the host position, Xu Feng on the other hand was receiving a video call.

"Feng, thanks to you, my father praised me repeatedly. He even let me handle the floor in the Apex Tower."

"I see…" Xu Feng smiled and suggested, "Let's meet at the Apex Tower then, Yi."
