Chapter 398 Relax
In no time, Arthur and Isabel arrived back at Amanda's mansion grounds.
The others looked confused as they found no one else with them.
On the other hand, Isabel signaled Jade to enter the car. She wanted to leave now to take care of her work.
When Isabel was not around, Amanda finally approached Arthur.
"Dear, what happened? Where are they?" she asked, calling Arthur in a clear voice while glancing at Rose, as if she wanted to show her romance with him.
"They'll be here soon, let's wait," Arthur replied.
He took her hand and pulled her to a long wooden chair to sit down.
Amanda smiled so brightly at being pulled by Arthur that she didn't really care what he said anymore.
In the end, it was Rose who asked, "What do you mean, boss? Have you defeated them?"
"Yeah..." Arthur didn't argue.
This was quite confusing for them, including Asher.
Fortunately, the three Magus weren't too slow either.
They came not long after from behind Amanda's mansion, looking very exhausted because they had to run while injured.
"Who is he?" Amanda was immediately interested in the old man they were carrying, whose condition was more miserable that she didn't think he was the Official Magus that scared them.
Before Arthur could answer, Rose suddenly realized. "He's the Official Magus?" she said.
Hearing her words, Amanda finally understood. She looked at Arthur strangely, wondering what he was doing to the old man.
Of course, Asher could now rest easier because it meant that his betrayal would have no problems at all. After all, the people he betrayed lost very badly. Even then they had to return to the enemy's place themselves.
"What do you want?" Santiago, despite being in a very bad condition, was already able to speak after a short break.
"Old man, me not killing you is your luck," Arthur replied.
"Yeah, considering you're old and your brain is still functioning well, I don't think it's necessary to explain because you should know what I want."
His words left Santiago speechless for a moment. After that, he suddenly seemed to understand something.
"You want me to be your follower?" he asked.
"Do you mind? Or would you rather die? How about I make you lose your magic and never be able to practice magic again?" Arthur asked back, which instantly made Santiago's old eyes widen until they almost popped out of their sockets.
Unfortunately Arthur's threat was also too scary for him. He still didn't want to die despite being so old.
The problem is that he can live much longer, even 200 years is no problem as long as he doesn't get killed.
He can practically see the babies born today die in their old age.
"What will I do when I follow you?" He asked again, rational enough not to refuse.
He thought working for someone else wasn't entirely bad because in the future there was no shortage of opportunities to be independent again. Plus, in his life, it wasn't like he had never worked for someone else.
"Don't worry too much," Arthur replied. "After all, how many in the world can make you die besides me, so the tasks I'll give you won't be so hard for you either."
Maybe Arthur would send him to the sea of poison if it existed and there was something valuable there.
Unfortunately Earth was too safe a place for magus, let alone an Official Magus, so there wasn't much danger to speak of.
Hearing Arthur's words, Santiago finally calmed down.
However, Arthur suddenly sent something into his body. He couldn't dodge because it was too fast, and when it was inside his body, he also found it very powerful, even as if it had become a part of him.
"You?" His eyes widened again.
Arthur didn't respond, he sent the same to the other Magus.
They also reacted the same, but could only remain silent because they no longer had the qualifications to speak.
"By the way, after the four of you have recovered, go to Paris. I'm setting up a Magic Academy there, and I want you to take care of it as well as being teachers there for a while," Arthur said to Asher and the other three Magus.
"And you stay here," he added as he looked at Santiago.
After that, he looked at Rose.
"You can go back now," he said.
"Boss, how about going to church with me?" Rose suddenly invited Arthur so Amanda pouted, looking at her unhappily because she thought now was her time with Arthur.
"Have you settled that?" Arthur asked Rose.
"Yes!" Rose nodded.
"All right, but I'm going to the church tonight," Arthur replied.
Amanda breathed a sigh of relief after hearing that. Arthur's words indicated that he wanted to be with her first.
Rose couldn't say anything else but to leave with a few other mercenaries.
Actually, Arthur would still have gone to the church even if it wasn't for the Flashdisk business, however, there were other things he needed to take care of there. First he wanted to see Jaxon, the Magus from England whom he had hung on the cross of the church, and meet Alice.
As soon as Rose left, Amanda said, "let's go inside and have lunch, I'm sure you're quite hungry now."
"Sure!" Arthur didn't refuse and went inside the mansion with Amanda.
Apparently before Arthur returned after going to the forest with Isabel, Amanda instructed Aunt Maya and her two daughters to cook.
Arriving at the dining room, Arthur saw many appetizing dishes.
"How was your trip in Paris, you must have had a lot of fun there, right?" Amanda asked after she and Arthur sat down.
The last one cleared his throat softly and replied, "not always."
"But Bella told me something."
"What?" Arthur almost spit out the water he was drinking.
Although he knew that Bella was an unruly woman, he did not expect that she would talk about it to Amanda.
It might be natural for them to talk about their sex experiences, but it would be awkward if it was with the same man.
