Chapter 41 Go Home
One minute!
Two minutes!
Five minutes!
Ten minutes!
Amanda read the paper for a long time and her eyes became narrower and narrower with time. In the end, all that appeared on her face was confusion.
"What is this? Is this really a spell?" She said.
"It's not that easy to understand spells, so you have to be patient," Arthur answered as he stood up.
Amanda glanced at him and asked, "Where are you going?"
"I want to go home first!"
"Go home?" Amanda raised her eyebrows at that.
"What? Do you mind me coming home?" Arthur smiled mockingly again.
Amanda rolled her eyes but then she answered with a laugh. "Yeah, after all, you're still a student, your aunt will look for you if you're gone too long."
Right after she said that, suddenly a woman's shout came from the living room. "Amanda, Arthur, are you guys here?"
It was Bella's voice. Just a moment later, the sound of her footsteps rang out and her figure appeared.
Looking at Amanda who was seated and Arthur who was already standing in front of the dining table, she couldn't help but knit her brows.
Roar!
Suddenly one of the tigers came out from the kitchen, it roared when it saw the stranger. When Bella saw the tiger, she immediately jumped backwards, fell to a sitting position.
"T-tiger," she said in a trembling voice.
"Calm!" Amanda touched the tiger's head to calm it down as it passed beside her chair.
Meanwhile, Arthur finally took a step and said, "thanks for the food! I'll entrust them to you."
"Wait!" Amanda stood up too, she asked, "how are you going home?"
"I'll be walking, no need to accompany me" Arthur answered without stopping his steps.
As he arrived beside the seated Bella, he reached his hand out to hers then pulled her up to help her up.
"Take care," he said before moving on.
Bella's eyes widened, as if she couldn't believe what smhe had just done. Her head was filled with thoughts, 'he helped me up?'
A romantic man who helps a woman who has fallen to stand up again may still be questioned by people, not to mention Arthur whose face is too calm to be called straight.
Of course, if Bella thought that was odd, she was dead wrong because what Arthur did was nothing more than an act of courtesy that he was supposed to do as a guest at an ally's house. Plus, Bella could be said to be a member of his gang, helping her was normal. It was like he once told her, (When you're in my gang, you have to help with certain things in my life that suit you. In return, I'll help you with the things I can do.)
Arthur quickly arrived at the living room of the mansion, he looked around because it was also very luxurious. There is even a cinema screen on the wall, flanked by two large aquariums filled with large fish.
At the end of the stairs, he saw Aunt Maya and her two daughters peeking at him, looking nervous. Arthur watched them for a moment, thinking that they including Aunt Maya were very innocent women.
When he arrived at the mansion yard, he found no one, the old men had gone somewhere. However, when he arrived outside the walls, he saw another large truck coming, it was full of cows and goats.
It didn't enter the wall, but stopped about thirty meters from it. The old men were there, looking as though they were waiting for the truck.
Arthur only watched them for a moment before taking a step. However, he didn't follow the path ahead, instead, he entered the forest on the side.
From there, he jumped onto a tree branch that was about five meters high and then jumped again onto another branch, continuing like that until he was deeper into the forest.
This was the reason he chose to go on foot, he wanted to use his strength, or rather release it in order to clearly know how strong he was, especially in terms of physique.
The forest wasn't very big, he quickly came to its end and there was a very tall meadow, taller than a human being, like a field of corn.
Various animals such as snakes live here, some are even big enough to swallow humans.
Arthur thought the tigers and harpies could come here to hunt if the food Amanda gave them wasn't enough.
Whoosh!
He started running, steadily increasing his speed to the max. Several times he accidentally stepped on the heads of snakes and naturally the snakes almost got buried because his feet landed really hard.
Over time, because it was too fast, his movements didn't even disturb the grass he was walking on, they remained standing as if nothing was touching them.
'This speed, it shouldn't be a problem dodging bullets,' he thought.
He should be able to defeat a hundred humans of above average strength, but of course, that was if they were using their bare hands or just cold weapons. High-velocity bullets fired from far away was another matter, perhaps he could still endure them with energy armor, but one person could easily fire a thousand bullets in a short amount of time.
There are only two solutions to this problem, running away or killing the shooter, both of which require speed, which is why it's so important.
Of course, he still had a third way to deal with things if he lost a battle, that was using extravagant methods which he was basically able to do because he was a Great Magus despite being in a weak body.
However, he thought, earth didn't have anything that could compel him, he probably wouldn't have to pay such a huge price for such an act.
Not long after, he arrived at the end of the hill, close to the road. He was already sweating a bit too, so he stopped running.
Phew!
He sighed, straightening his slightly messy hair before heading out into the street. There is a bus stop there, people who want to leave the area are waiting for their bus there.
