Chapter 417 Just A Night
Arriving at the dining room, Arthur saw that the table was full of food. Even every cup contained refreshing-looking mango juice.
The servant invited Linda and Arthur to sit down.
When she saw Raymond with the young girl, she was surprised for a moment before hiding her expression.
If Linda had seen Raymond three times, then the servant more often because she always stayed in this house, unlike Linda who traveled a lot.
To her Raymond was much wilder than Linda. The problem was that he was much younger.
Things like this, she could only say that it was because Raymond had gained prosperity earlier due to Linda's success.
She chose not to say anything and went to the back once they sat down.
Audrey looked very relaxed, she was sitting next to Raymond and right in front of Linda.
Without being invited, she picked up a fork, as if this was her own home.
When she put the meat into her mouth, she seemed to enjoy it.
"Sister Linda," she said afterwards.
Linda couldn't help but look into her eyes and ask, "What's wrong?"
"I was just wondering, as a famous celebrity, how many ex-boyfriends do you have?" the girl replied with a question that made Linda stop her hand that was just about to put meat in her mouth.
She looked like she wanted to laugh and cry because a young girl asked her that.
"Does it matter?" She asked back.
"Like I said, I'm just curious. It doesn't matter if you don't answer," Audrey replied.
"Actually, I don't date often, the last time was during my first year of college. However, I forgot how many times." Linda still said it even though she had previously asked if it was important to Audrey.
"Why aren't you dating anymore?" Audrey apparently asked again after she got one answer.
"Isn't dating more romantic? That way, you have a clear bond with a man, unlike now where you let men you have no bond with sleep with you. That's detrimental to you as a woman."
Her words this time managed to make Linda's face freeze.
After that, she shook her head, thinking that this young girl was still a little naive. In the end, she was still a young girl. It was also possible that she had watched too many romantic movies.
"The older you get and the more successful you are with your work, the less you care about such ties. After all, they're just vague ties. Sometimes it just interferes with your life. Plus, the average guy now is very toxic. You might think differently now, but wait a few years, there's a chance you'd rather be single, and when you feel like having sex, you would do it with whoever gets you in the mood."
"Nonsense, that's just you." Apparently, Linda's words angered Raymond.
His face turned so pale that he pointed at Linda with trembling hands.
"Audrey won't be like you," he said.
He was now drunk in love with Audrey, so he couldn't accept the imagination of Audrey breaking up with him, even then she was making love to a man other than him.
"Tsk! Tsk!" Linda chuckled.
"Well, boy, just enjoy your youth. You don't have to worry so much. At that point, you won't be sad just because you lost a woman," she told Raymond.
Before Raymond could get angry again, Audrey grabbed his hand, trying to calm him down.
It did work, but it still seemed to really ruin Raymond's mood. He put down the fork he was holding, clearly losing his appetite.
Luckily Audrey still chose to eat, but it was clear she didn't want to talk about it with Linda anymore.
After finishing a third of the food on her plate, she pulled Raymond's hand and said, "let's go!"
Raymond, who had wanted to leave from the beginning, nodded.
The two of them then left the dining table.
Linda laughed as she watched them.
"They take their relationship too seriously. I'm afraid it didn't even last one year," she said.
Linda had never heard of a couple from middle school surviving to marriage which might take another ten years, especially for Raymond and Audrey with their personalities.
Once they get tired of each other, they will break up, and when they meet someone else they are comfortable with, they will start a new relationship with someone else.
"Maybe your brother will try to keep the girl, after all, she's a rare breed," Arthur replied with a quiet laugh.
"The wealth of the girl's parents is indeed alluring, even a boy like Raymond knows how good only that is. However, he's just one of the parties, if the girl gets bored, she could just end their relationship. Yeah, wait until she meets other men with the same attractive appearance as Raymond or even better. I'm sure she'll be tempted. A woman from a rich broken home family will mostly become like that. Even become a sugar mommy in their middle age."
"Don't you feel sorry for your little brother?" asked Arthur after hearing her words.
"Of course, I'll always be by my little brother's side, but we're talking facts now." Linda shook her head.
"Okay, stop talking about this, keep eating," she added.
After that, she changed the subject as they ate. Most of what she talked about was about Isabel.
Despite her words saying that she likes jobs that earn a lot of money and have fun with a handsome man the most, when talking about a woman becoming the leader of a ministry that controls a lot of people, she seemed much more excited.
Perhaps she was actually very enamored with it, but didn't teach it because she knew that it was very difficult. Even if she gets a Doctorate degree, the chance of becoming such a minister is less than 5%. At best, ahe could only become a congresswomann.
However, she doesn't have the confidence to build a big influence like Isabel has done.
"By the way, you should probably contact your aunt, ask about Kelvin. That guy can cause trouble if he already wants something," Linda said as she recalled the conversation with Ayla earlier that afternoon.
Arthur smiled at her words and shook his head.
"No need, he won't be able to do anything," he replied.
"Why? Even though the security at her residence is very tight, a ruckus could still happen." Linda didn't seem to understand the meaning of Arthur's words.
Arthur was still smiling, but he didn't say anything to explain so Linda became even more confused.
After finishing the meal, Arthur and Linda went to the living room, sitting on the sofa.
They watched the TV which was reporting about two things, the Armstrong Family's downfall and the preparations for the new minister's inauguration tomorrow.
The first piece of news seemed to take Linda's breath away even though she had obviously known about it since this afternoon.
She couldn't stop wondering about who destroyed them and how it was done.
She asked Arthur several times, but of course, Arthur didn't answer.
And who knows how much time passed, the woman's hand suddenly entered Arthur's pants, grabbing his dick directly.
"I seem to be horny again," she said with a strange smile.
When her eyes met Arthur's, she kissed him.
Just like this afternoon, from the kiss in the living room to the bedroom.
The game started again until they fell asleep.
Arthur woke up around 5 AM cuddled up with Linda.
The latter was still fast asleep when he woke up and didn't feel his movement.
Arthur didn't plan on going back to sleep and he didn't plan on waking Linda up either.
Now he wanted to take a shower, get dressed, and head straight back to Isabel's residence.
That he did quickly and even after he was done, Linda was still completely unawakened.
Then, he walked out of the bedroom.
Only, when he arrived at the door of the next room, it suddenly opened so that he could look inside.
He saw the bedroom bed where Raymond was fast asleep with several kiss marks on his neck.
As for who opened the door, it was Audrey.
She had a small blanket wrapped around her body and didn't seem to be wearing any other clothes.
Of course, just like Raymond, there were some kiss marks on her neck.
Seeing Arthur, she couldn't help but be surprised so took a step back, and was more surprised when she saw he was already dressed up.
"You? What are you doing here?" she asked in a rather low voice.
"I want to go home," Arthur replied. "And what do you want to do yourself? It's five o'clock."
Although he didn't care much for the girl, Arthur felt a little curious.
All the necessities should have been available in the room, so what was she looking for outside.
Asked, she suddenly blushed, which was very surprising.
"None of your business," she replied.
After that, she turned around and closed the door to the room.
However, there was something.
Arthur saw a drop of blood in front of the door.
With a quick glance, he knew that it was menstrual blood.
"Huh!" He laughed softly, shaking his head before walking away.
Maybe the little girl was looking for softex right now.
