Chapter 423 Night Stroll
For the rest of the day, Arthur spent his time traveling around Brussels.
He was enjoying the city and its life. So far, he has grown to like this city which he says has a more relaxed life than Vera where business plays a big role.
When the sky was getting dark, Arthur planned to return to Vera. He even plans to fly to Vera.
However, his aunt suddenly texted him to visit her at her office.
She asked him to bring her fresh food, fruits and roasted meat.
Arthur didn't mind, so he visited a fruit shop and a restaurant that sold grilled meat, buying quite a lot before flying to the Home Office.
In no time, he arrived there, finding that the office was not as busy as it had been earlier in the day although it was still crowded.
The employees were starting to leave the office and some were still relaxing in the courtyard.
Arthur did not go downstairs, he searched for Isabel's aura and once he found it, he immediately flew to the room where the aura was.
He easily found it and the window of the room happened to be open, so he easily entered it.
When he arrived, he couldn't help but look around as it was truly a luxurious and spacious office space, having various facilities. There was even a row of tvs on the wall showing various channels.
At a certain end of the room, he saw Isabel sitting at a desk, reading a pile of documents and still wearing the clothes from the previous day.
She quickly turned her gaze to the window as she sensed Arthur's presence.
"You finally came, I'm already hungry," she said with a sigh.
She immediately stood up and walked towards Arthur.
"Don't they have any food, aunt?" asked Arthur as he walked over to the sofa and placed all the food he had bought on the sofa table.
"It's too little, it only makes me hungrier," Isabel replied.
Perhaps she was only being fed normal portions, and here obviously couldn't ask for too much food because it would make her image bad.
People would probably assume that Isabel would soon become a fat woman.
Of course, that was impossible. She would stay slim forever, her body would still dazzle men.
Isabel sat on the sofa, picked up an apple, and immediately bit into it with her beautiful, clean rows of teeth.
Despite being starving, she still gave off a very strong impression of elegance when she ate.
"Don't want to eat?" she asked after a while when she saw Arthur just sitting quietly.
"I'm full," Arthur replied.
"Aunt, I'm going to Vera's tonight," he added, telling her his plans.
Hearing that, Isabel somehow frowned.
"It's not good to leave at night," she said. "You'd better sleep here first, keep me company. I happen to be staying overnight in this office."
Arthur, "..."
"Don't think about it too much, as if we never slept together," she continued as she saw Arthur fall silent.
She took a sip of water and added, "In the forest that time we even embraced."
When she brought it up again, Arthur was more than speechless. He froze with his mouth open.
It was something that could no longer be denied that Isabel was getting more and more open and aggressive, making Arthur wonder if the potion he had given her earlier had severed some of her brain cells.
While he couldn't say anything, Isabel continued to eat.
Over time, she began to look more and more refreshed, obviously because she was energized.
Phew!
She sighed after finishing one cup of cold water, finally looking comfortable.
"You know, being a minister is really tiring," she said.
That she was complaining surprised Arthur a little, he replied, "You could have lived a life of leisure as a magus."
Arthur was happy to see Isabel succeed with her career, but he naturally didn't mind her leading a leisurely life. It would probably make her grow stronger faster as she could focus on practicing her magic.
However, Isabel shook her head in response.
"I can't live without working, it's something I love even though it's very tiring," she said before standing up.
"It's just that, it doesn't seem enough for me to just sleep after work. Anyway, I became a minister, I think it's something worth celebrating."
"What are your plans, aunt?" Arthur was confused again by her words.
Isabel didn't answer right away, she unbraided her hair so that it flowed down.
After that, she walked to a table where there was a long brown coat.
She took the coat and put it on, making her look instantly different because of the combination of the coat with the skirt and shirt she was wearing.
"Let's take a walk in the city, there might be something entertaining," she said.
"Are you sure, aunt?" Arthur became even more astonished by her plan.
"What makes me doubt? There's nothing wrong with it," Isabel replied.
She then opened the desk drawer and took out a large pair of sunglasses.
She immediately put on the sunglasses so that she looked like a celebrity in disguise.
Only, she was too attractive in that style. Even her age became very young-looking.
"Let's go!" She waved her hand as she walked towards the window.
When looking at her eye-cathing style, even if Arthur wanted to avoid something like this, he could not help but be curious.
In the end, he still followed her to the window, then followed her flying through the air.
After that, Isabel went to another street on the other side of the street in front of the office.
She landed in a narrow alley before casually walking to the sidewalk.
Arriving there, she attracted more attention than celebrities. Every eye was on her and even the cars ahead slowed down their speed.
Some people probably thought that she was a celebrity so they searched to see if there were any celebrities who looked like her.
Unfortunately, no one found any resemblance. Plus, it was hard to see her face because of her big sunglasses.
Of course, there are also those who argue that she's not a celebrity because there's no way a celebrity would be hanging around like that. She's supposed to be a rich woman who also happens to have a very pretty face.
However, that she came out of a narrow alley confused people, making them think it was strange even though there was nothing suspicious because whether it was Isabel's hair or clothes, they looked very neat.
It just that, when a young man appeared behind her that the suspicion increased even though Isabel looked very neat.
Isabel didn't care about people's thoughts, she waited for Arthur to arrive beside her before continuing her steps.
"Aunt, you're raising suspicions," Arthur said in a low voice, protesting slightly.
"Why are you worried? Haven't you always been indifferent to other people's thoughts?" Isabel replied with a quiet laugh.
"It's difficult if others misunderstand me and you." Arthur explained why he was uncomfortable.
Right after he said that, a red Lamborghini with its roof open suddenly pulled up beside Arthur and Isabel.
The driver was a man who was probably in his mid-20s, he was handsome and eye-catching.
"Lady, your boyfriend is so heartless to let your beautiful legs walk, how about coming with me," the man said to Isabel, patting the passenger seat.
He was completely direct, not mincing words at all. Even insulted Isabel's boyfriend.
As the man in question, Arthur didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
He couldn't be angry at the insult given the misunderstanding.
"What makes you proud? We could buy a hundred cars like that," Isabel replied suddenly, giving the man a sardonic expression without breaking her stride.
Insulted back by Isabel, the man froze, but he also couldn't protest because whether it was Isabel or Arthur did give the impression of being able to buy a hundred cars like that.
Although the man had such a bad personality that he could insult others easily, he still knew to restrain himself.
He dared to say those words only because he wasn't sure whether Arthur and Isabel were really rich or not because ordinary people could be wearing nice clothes.
However, since Isabel spoke without hesitation, the man became convinced.
He didn't want to come into conflict with a rich person he didn't know yet because it could be that the enemy was stronger.
Meanwhile, Isabel said to Arthur, "It's really strange, isn't it? We're mistaken for lovers when we walk together like this."
Arthur rolled his eyes at her words.
He didn't know how to respond.
Who was to blame? Them or the people for being blind?
After a while, Isabel's gaze was suddenly drawn to a six-story building that was obviously a nightclub just from the colorful lights radiating on its walls.
There was the faint sound of music coming from the building. Plus, those who entered were mostly dressed in sexy clothes.
The female employees coming home from work, for example, deliberately raised their skirts, as if they wanted to lure men over.
Maybe they are really looking for a man for a one night stand.
It was just that Arthur couldn't help but show a strange expression when he saw two people he knew enter the nightclub.
They were Raymond and Audrey, followed by about 15 men and women around their age.
They were all stopped by the bouncers, even attracting many stares due to their young appearance, clearly considered underage.
However, who knows what Audrey did, she managed to get the guards to let them in after a few moments of talking.
