Chapter 32
An Apology
Liang Wen didn’t sleep that day.
Qu Zhi had ignored him for two whole days, and he couldn’t bear it anymore, but he was too embarrassed to say it.
Not to mention that he was not used to sleeping on the sofa, he could not stretch when he was asleep, and he could not eat supper.
In the past, Qu Zhi would cook him some noodles every night when she knew that he would be hungry.
Liang Wen lay on the sofa, tossing and turning, unable to fall asleep. He kept feeling like something was missing.
It wasn’t that he was hungry, but he was used to it.
He glanced at the clock on the wall. It was already midnight. If he did not sleep now, he would be late for work tomorrow.
He got up and wanted to find something to eat in the refrigerator, but there were only some egg noodles and eggs in the refrigerator. There was also a bowl of pickled cucumber, some scallions, ginger, and garlic in the refrigerator. Other than these, there was nothing else.
He thought that he could make red soup noodles.
Liang Wen knew how to cook, and he did it quite well.
When he first met Qu Zhi, he would cook noodles for her. He was quite good at seasoning and easily captured Qu Zhi’s stomach.
After Qu Zhi became a housewife, he handed over all the cooking to her and she never ate a meal that he personally cooked.
Of course, he was also busy, so Qu Zhi understood him and was willing to cook.
Liang Wen boiled the water and put a bowl of noodles in the boiling water before covering the pot. He liked to eat noodles that were cooked until they were soft. Such noodles had to be stewed for a while after they were cooked.
Next, he would lay down a fried egg and add a little soy sauce to make a red soup.
He looked for soy sauce.
But he hadn’t touched the kitchen for a long time, and he couldn’t find it.
Seeing that the egg in the pot was about to be fully cooked, he sighed helplessly.
‘
I’ll eat it with pickled cucumbers,
‘ He thought.
He scooped the noodles and walked toward the living room.
To her surprise, the lights in the living room were all on at this time. Qu Zhi sat at the dining table and yawned.
“Help me get a bowl, I want to eat too.” Qu Zhi didn’t even spare him a glance.
Liang Wen wanted to get angry, but seeing that she had lost her temper, he put the bowl in front of her and went to get another one.
Unexpectedly, Qu Zhi sneered when she saw the white soup in the bowl. “Why didn’t you remember to add any seasoning when you cook the noodles?”
Liang Wen frowned and rolled his eyes at her. “How would I know where the soy sauce is?”
Qu Zhi ignored him and walked slowly to the kitchen while holding her stomach. She then took out a bottle of soy sauce from the cabinet under the stove. There was soy sauce in that position, so it was easy to pick up when cooking.
Liang Wen was speechless.
Qu Zhi helped him pour the soy sauce, and the noodles immediately had a fragrant smell.
“What are you angry about?” Liang Wen asked as he stuffed the noodles into his mouth. He really couldn’t imagine how a person with such a good temper could not be criticized with a word.
Qu Zhi ignored him and continued eating her noodles.
The egg in her bowl was laid just right. The outer layer of the yolk was sandy, but the inner layer was warm and flowing. It was very fragrant and satisfying to eat.
“What did I do to you?” Liang Wen was a little angry at first, but when he thought about Chuchu’s words, he found them funny. “You still want to have a cold war with me?”
“You don’t know me well, yet you said that about me. Of course, I’d be angry.”
“What?” Liang Wen had long forgotten what he had said.
Qu Zhi repeated his exact words.
Liang Wen hummed and tried to fool her. “You’re a spendthrift anyway. Your clothes are so high-class, and it’s so troublesome to wash the ink off. If you can’t wash them clean, you’ll just throw them away in the end.”
The dress was indeed expensive, but Qu Zhi couldn’t bear to throw it away. She had already brought it to the laundromat and the other party had promised her that she could come back to pick it up in a week’s time.
Qu Zhi then showed him her recent financial results.
She didn’t tell Liang Wen how much capital she had either. Instead, she showed him one of the stocks.
Liang Wen’s eyes were wide open. She had doubled the amount of money.
He couldn’t even do it himself.
Liang Wen realized that Qu Zhi really didn’t spend money recklessly.
However, he continued to chuckle as he drank the noodle soup. “What do you want then?”
Qu Zhi put down her chopsticks and pointed at Liang Wen’s nose. “I want you to apologize,” She said word by word.
