Harry Cullen spent his last days as the happiest and the most optimistic person in the world. He was happy as he had just contributed something great to the Cullen family. He had contributed a Fierce bird for god sake. And that was a very big thing to do.

Having a Fierce bird in their ranks would mean that the Cullen family would have a trump card that other noble families would have a very hard time countering. The normal soldiers are certainly no match for the bird. And even if the other family hires HTCs of Rank-B or higher they still have a hard time countering the bird. Also based on the wealth of the Cullen family any HTC would be more happy to work for them than to work with any other noble family. That meant that no matter what they did, the Cullen family would always have an advantage if that bird was hatched.

And it was no surprise that just after two weeks after Harry got the egg, he was assassinated. Little Harry's body was found in his room tortured and tied up to the chair. And just beside the dead body of Harry, a broken egg was found. And that egg had been smashed on the ground with force.

When Harry told his father about the egg, he became elated. His father succumbs to the greed that if he uses his cards the right way, he may be able to become the next head of the family with that egg. Thus he formulated a plan for this. Instead of telling the information about the egg to his family members of the Cullen family, he concealed it.

Harry's father was sure that surely no one would have recognized the egg just by seeing it. Only a genius like his son could something like that off. So, he didn't take any action to either protect his son or egg. He used his logic that him providing him with extra security would raise suspicion. And he may have been right too.

But this was his big mistake. Because of his mistake, assassins came knocking at Harry's door and were easily able to make their way to Harry. Thus they killed him but not before torturing him.

But the best part was that…

When the investigators of the family tried to find the origins of the egg, they made a shocking discovery. The investigator of the family had to investigate the egg because it could have given them some clues about why someone wants to kill Harry. Plus the smashed egg just beside a dead body was far more suspicious.

As they investigated the egg, some investigators recognized the shell of the egg instantly. After all, they were all Rank-A or Rank-S members of the Cullen family. They have a fair amount of knowledge of 1st-floor beasts and their lifestyle. When they saw the scene of the crime and details they immediately recognized what would happen. But it was too easy, they investigated further to further increase the plausibility of their finding.

And the conclusion that they got on the investigation was very tragic. They concluded their report of Harry's murder…

"Harry Cullen went to Kalgan forests a few weeks ago. He found a red egg there which he concluded to be the egg of the Fierce bird. So he brought the egg back with him.

That report blew the mind of Harry's father. He had been so stupid that he thought that Harry would have found the egg of a Fierce bird. But he never really checked it out himself. If he would have done that he would have also found out that the particular egg was not a Fierce bird's egg.

Although Fierce egg and Hymen lizards are identical they have a big difference. That is of the size. The egg that Harry found was the size of a tennis ball. Harry assumed that it was a Fierce egg because it had all of its properties and everything. After all, he had read all about this in a book.

But he forgets to use logic. He may be a genius of the Cullen family. But he was fool to believe that a creature who grows up to be the size of a 15 feet giant would have an egg that is the size of a tennis ball….

Nobody can turn back time and make amends for their mistakes. Nobody can. It is said that even gods can't even change the flow of time. So how could some measly nobles of the lowest floor of Yggdrasil can?

As soon as the assassins sent to take care of the egg, found out that the egg didn't belong to Fierce bird, they smashed the egg in frustration. They also killed the little Harry. They killed Harry for nothing at all. Plus Harry being the genius of the family, got themselves in some crappy situation.

Cullen's family was enraged by their actions. They soon investigated o find who was responsible for this assassination. They got some leads, and narrowed it down to one noble family. The Cross family. They were the ones who put a hit out for Harry. As soon as this information was confirmed, the Cullen family declared war on them.

The Cross family may not be as wealthy as the Cullens, but they were one of the oldest noble houses. So they had connections of their own. They gathered their allies' noble families to aid them in the war.

Seeing this Cullen family also called out to their allies. Soon within two months, all the noble families of the first floor either allied with the Cullens or with the Cross family. So that means a full-scale wall will start very soon. Only time will tell you would become victorious.

Families who allied with the Cullens did not have any reason to call all-out war. But seeing the opportunity to get new lands and resources, they succumbed to greed and thus they entered the war.

It was a war based on greed and petty revenge. But this war will be written down in history because in this chaotic war, neither Cullens nor Cross will be victorious…
