Chapter 94 - -8<The Land Of Cat People-4>
The city of these cat people was spread between the gaps between different rocky mountains. And some parts of the city were even underground. People of this city lived in caves that they dug in the mountain. The advantage of having the city in between the gap of mountains was that the sunlight was not able to come down in the gaps. Which made these gaps cooler than the environment outside.
The whole city and the roads inside the city were made in such a way that sunlight was not felt anywhere in the city. The city was still hot due to overpopulation but it was comparatively cooler than the desert outside. The shops of the city were usually makeshift shops. The shops were all temporary and were made out of wooden tents.
Arvin saw few shops that were made by digging holes in the mountain. But these shops looked like that they were made for the rich and high-class people of this society. Arvin was also able to see some high-class people, and boy oh boy…. They were very different from the nobles of the 1st floor.
Arvin saw a high-class man. He was wearing something that looked like a white boxer made from silk. They were wearing what looked like a silk scarf around their neck. While the females were the distracting ones. The high-class females of these cat people wore very very obscene clothing. The high-class females wore what looked like to be an ornament made from gold. This ornament was worn around the neck. At the other end of the ornament was a structure made like the roots of the trees. The tree roots were made in such a way that the females would cup their breasts in the structure.
And from what Arvin saw, these females didn't care whether their nipples were visible. All the high-class females were wearing ornaments like these. While down below they were silky tight boxers that could highlight their curves.
Arvin when saw the curvy Figueres and goddess-like breasts of these females, he started getting turned on a little bit. He had been a virgin before and was a virgin now. And this city was a strip club that he had wandered in because he got lost. But Arvin didn't let his carnal desire take over his aim.
Arvin didn't found anyone that could rival his strength till now. He saw few high-class people that had strength that may not be comparable to him but still was great as compared to the general strength of the people of this city. This gave Arvin an idea…
He needed a lot of things to get stronger. And one of them was knowledge. So why not pay a visit to the houses of these people? He may find some valuable resources there. It wouldn't hurt if he somehow gets his hands or paws on money. And if finds some mana stone or something more valuable, then his inventory could always store more things. With his shapeshifting skills, he could always get out of here without anyone noticing.
Now with an aim in his mind, he just needs to find suitable targets. Usually, the overlord of this city would be a good target to steal from. So Arvin's first mission became to find a piece of suitable information about this city's hierarchy. He wanted to know all the top names of this city. And the most suitable place to find that information was to find a tavern.
So after looking around the city for half a day, Arvin finally found a place that reeked of alcohol. So with a big smile on his face, started walking towards the place…
The place that Arvin found was Leaky Cauldron. That place was in one of the busiest streets of the city. At the entrance of the tavern, there was a wooden door that had the picture of a beer glass on the door. Arvin felt happy as he saw the door. He didn't why or how but since he had the taste of the wine in the office of the old master of the Cullen family, he is not able to take that taste off of his mind.
He started loving wine from that very instant. He was not a frequent drinker but he can't get enough of the wine. The smoothness, the viscosity of the fluid, the taste, the smell, and the hints of flavors that different wines had was a thing that was worth killing for.
Now curious as well excited about the wine that he would be able to drink in this cat city, Arvin with a big smile entered the tavern…
Inside he saw this tavern was like any other tavern out there. There were few tables here and there in the whole area. On the other side of the area was the bar. Two females cat women bartenders were behind the bar and were cleaning the glasses.
Arvin with a big smile on his face went to the bar. Around the bar they few bar stools. He climbed one of the stools and ordered….
"Good evening… I would like to have a glass of your cheapest wine please." He said with a big smile on his face. One of the female bartenders looked at Arvin from top to bottom and then said very politely…
"Sir, would you like to have a look at other options?" she asked.
"No, your cheapest wine would do just fine," Arvin said.
"Ok. But you have to pay upfront for your wine." She said.
"Okay," Arvin said and then he fished out a gold coin from the pants of his boxers. And then put it on the table. Seeing the gold coin, both the bartender bowed in front of Arvin and thanked him for his patronage. Then one of them went to get a glass of wine.
After few minutes, the female bartender came back with purple color wine in a wine glass and served it to Arvin…
Arvin took the delicate wine glass in his hands and smelled the purple color liquid inside it. The purple color liquid smelled like freshly picked grapes. The aroma of the wine alone was very soothing. Arvin then checked the viscosity of the wine by rotating the glass a little bit. He saw that the liquid in the glass seemed a little bit dense if compared to the other wines that he had tasted before. Those were from the 1st floor but despite that those wines were a little more viscous when checked.
He didn't complain about the wine as this was the cheapest wine in the bar. But still, it was disappointing. Arvin then finally took a sip of the wine. Despite being dense this wine had a certain taste to it. It was a little bit sour. But the alcohol content in the wine was on another level. That level of alcohol was not able to faze Arvin but still, it was a good point.
So after just taking a sip of wine, Arvin put down the glass of wine. According to him, this wine had a good smell to it. And the alcohol content was pretty decent. And that was it. The taste was good but comparatively, Arvin had drunk wines whose taste was far better than this cheap sh*t. So overall, this wine was a wastage of money.
"How did you like the wine sir?" one of the bartenders asked.
"This wine is…. Sh*t." Arvin said straightforwardly. As Arvin said that, the bartenders looked at each other awkwardly as they didn't know what else to say. But then a female who was sitting on a barstool just a few stools away from Arvin started laughing…
"*HAHA*… Well, what did you expect when you would drink a wine that is as cheap as that? You there, bring two glasses of Agor wine for me and my friend over here." the female said. After listening to the order, the bartender got into action. While the female got up from her stool and came towards Arvin. And then she introduced herself…
"Name is Aria by the way," Aria said.
"Hello. Please have a seat." Arvin said while pointing towards the seat beside him.
"I didn't want to intrude before, but when the way you drank the wine… I was sure that at the moment that you would not be that cheap sh*t. But I am 100% sure that you would like the Agor wine very much." Aria said.
"Well, I must thank you for your generosity," Arvin said with a smile.
"Don't mention it. And don't you know, handsome men like you deserve some special company as well as a special glass wine." Aria said.
"Stop it…" Arvin said as he was genuinely embarrassed. After all, no one in his life has ever referred to him as handsome.
'BOOYAH!!!....SCORE!.... Tonight is going to be a long night….' Aria thank inwardly
{This night is going to be very interesting.} Loki thought inwardly.
'Aria is such a nice woman. She brought me good wine and called me handsome… This is what ideal woman should be like.' Arvin thought inwardly.
