Tang San nodded. "Yes. In your past life, you were my wife. Later, because I failed to protect you, you left me and reincarnated into this plane, becoming Mei Gongzi. He really didn't know if telling her this was good or bad, but the one thing he was sure of was that now she wouldn't be sad anymore. Well... she would be pretty damn confused instead, as expected of someone whose perception of reality was so suddenly overturned.
