Chapter 243 Beehive
It took Kyle less than two weeks to finish the blacksmithing theory courses.
Afterward, he had only two days left in which he would have to attend courses related to blacksmithing.
This left him with enough time to spend a total of three days each week hunting in the wild.
It was only possible because it took Kyle less than two weeks to finish the blacksmithing theory courses.
Afterward, he had only two days left in which he would have to attend courses related to blacksmithing.
This left him with enough time to spend a total of three days a week to focus solely on hunting.
After all, the Intermediate and Advanced Elemental control courses, the Advanced Combat training course, and the Survival course were all clubbed into the remaining two days.
Through this, everything was much easier, and Kyle was able to leave quite quickly.
Using his free time in between the courses he attended four days a week in order to widen his horizon and understand everything he learned, the three days of hunting time could be considered as a practical lesson.
In this practical lesson, he made use of everything he had learned earlier.
His growth in strength was thus bound to be extraordinary as long as he didn't imprint any flaws in his mind.
With a great foundation, everything in regards to his strength, cultivation, combat prowess, and even blacksmithing would approach the state of perfection.
As such, once the time was ripe, Kyle left the capital.
For the first time in a very long period, he was in the wilderness, alone.
If he were to exclude the brutal Brawl that he had survived, the last time he was truly alone was probably the short period when he had been separated from Selene.
Other than that, the first days of his reincarnation could also be considered as solitary time but that was only obvious.
Because of that, Kyle felt a bit odd while walking through the forest near the capital.
'To think that I would feel like this… In the past, I was alone most of the time because of my attempts to find a way to awaken my cultivation veins through books…'
Smiling dryly he shook his head, only for Arashi to jump on top of his head.
"Yeah, you are right, I'm never alone as long as I have you by my side!" Kyle remarked with a smile when he heard his Spirit Soul growl a little as if he was complaining.
Caressing the fluffy fur of Arashi, he walked through the forest without any hesitation.
The little odd sensation had disappeared, and Kyle was ready to fight huge hordes of beasts at any moment.
He received information from the Guildhall that quite a few huge hordes of beasts had been spotted not too long ago.
Due to the drastically decreased number of Soldiers as a result of the war between the three alliances, it was quite difficult to control the population of the beasts all over the Lahin Kingdom.
Smaller cities and towns faced more danger from low-ranked beasts than the capital, owing to the difference in their defenses.
As such, most Soldiers had been spread through the Lahin kingdom in order to look after the overpopulation of beasts and put a check to it before it goes out of hand.
Their numbers had grown during the last year as if they were Goblins, only to be decimated once again.
Meanwhile, the surrounding of the capital was still flooded with beasts.
But, Kyle didn't want to waste his time attacking the small groups of beasts.
He wanted to conserve his energy as he would require lots of Soul energy at the Vitae stage.
To make the most of his short time outside the capital each week, Kyle wanted to focus on the biggest groups of beasts.
There was no need to be nervous about being killed by them either.
After all, he had the necessary abilities to kill numerous opponents at the same time.
And with Arashi by his side, their combined attacks could lead to unbelievable results once they used their wind affinity!
Running through the forest with a tempest that didn't exhaust him, Kyle used his sight to locate hues in order to find the most suitable group to hunt.
After three hours, he reached the deeper parts of the forest, but that was not something he was worried about as he could always trace his way back. His eyes fell on a huge beehive and suddenly he got an idea.
The strongest hue he perceived was of a bee at the Krysal stage, in addition to thousands of bees that were at the Vitae stage, and even more Fortification stage bees in the hive.
Most bees at the Fortification stage were unmoving, and probably not hatched yet.
As such, killing them would be quite easy.
It took away lots of pressure off him, even more so because he could tell that the bees followed the path of Spiral!
They were physically not powerful, were only as big as a watermelon, and didn't even own an elemental affinity.
The only thing they could do was to control objects in their surroundings, as well as use their poison-laced stingers to kill their opponents.
Perceiving their characteristics from far away with the use of his sight of hues, Kyle slowly remembered what type of bees they were.
"How did they land here? I thought they've gone extinct, at least the adventurer's log says so…"
They were called Deadly honey bees because their venom was far more lethal than that of hornets, only to collect nectar and produce honey as well.
Based on Kyle's knowledge even Krysal stage beings were unable to survive the sting of a Deadly honey bee.
As such, even though their honey was considered a delicacy, they were too dangerous to be close to the capital.
Thus, all of their hives had been hunted and burned down for quite some time already.
Relocating them to farther areas had not been possible because the Bee Queen would simply stop moving and die, the moment someone wanted to relocate her hive to someplace else.
With that knowledge in his mind, Kyle didn't wonder about it too much as he decided to eradicate the entire Bee Hive, at once!
There was a 'kill at sight' order, to begin with, giving him even more reason to annihilate them.
Hence, he slowly advanced through the trees as silently as possible, while his speed was fast.
This allowed him to approach the proximity of the BeeHive without being noticed, let alone attacked.
Taking a detailed look at the entire scene from up close, he sensed that the numbers of the Bees were much higher than expected.
At this moment he wished to have brought Yasmine along because their combined attack would have erupted a fire inferno, burning down the entire hive in a single attack.
Maybe the Queen Bee would survive, but even she wouldn't escape any injuries.
But because Yasmine was not here, right now, so Kyle had to think of something else.
Relying on the abilities of others was not something he liked to do, either way.
As such, Kyle climbed a nearby tree in order to get a better look from the top and see what part of the tree was the be hive attached to.
"A huge branch, and the tree itself…well, that's fine!"
With several plans popping up in mind, Kyle had to choose one of the plans in which he wouldn't kill all beasts at once.
Otherwise, it would be quite difficult for him to devour the soul energy of the deceased.
This was his main task, and the reason he chose to attack the BeeHive, to begin with.
As such, Kyle acted calmly, taking his time thinking of the best plan.
But even then, he was quite sure that it was impossible for him to think of a perfect plan to get his hand on all the Soul energy of more than a thousand bees.
Because that was the case, Kyle stopped overthinking as he jumped to the ground once again.
It was still quite early as he had left the capital before dawn.
Thus, the Bess had begun their work of collecting nectar from the nearby flowers right now.
Taking this into consideration, Kyle began his hunt, using tiny, but highly compressed wind needles as his means of attack.
Accelerating them with additional gusts of wind, he aimed for the hive knowing that they were more than enough to pierce through the Deadly honey bees at the Vitae stage.
Understanding this clearly, both Kyle and Arashi decided to use their Soul force sparingly, leading them to control the winds around them before he started his attack.
With the hues guiding him, Kyle knew when a bee was traveling around, which Kyle saw as a deciding factor to attack.
Launching surprise attacks with the wind needles, whose velocity was far higher than that of the Deadly honey bees, Kyle massacred them one after another.
By attacking them from the biggest distance possible, he was well hidden and the other Deadly honey bees didn't notice anything in the beginning.
Only when more than an hour had passed, and the number of returning bees decreased did the Bee Queen grow suspicious.
Cultivating in the Path of Wisdom, Spiral, the mind of the Deadly honey bees had been refined over and over again.
Through this, it was possible for the Queen to deduce that her workers had probably been killed.
Thus, the groups sent out to work were larger in number and more vigilant than before.
However, that was not something that held Kyle back from killing them.
The only thing he had to do was to manifest more compressed wind needles, while Arashi would accelerate their velocity with the use of powerful gusts of wind.
They enveloped the wind needles tightly, boosting them to the limits of Arashi's proficiency of the wind affinity.
Slowly, as a few more hours passed, the smell of iron permeated the air, while the huge number of Deadly honey bees was slowly dwindling.
Kyle understood that it was time for him to change his tactic soon enough.
Because of that, he quickly used the absorbed Soul energy on nurturing Arashi.
By now, he had already hunted more than 500 bees at the Vitae stage, and Kyle quickly noticed that his greed was increasing manifold.
Feeling the desire to hunt down every single Deadly honey bee, he could only shake his head once again.
'I won't be able to get my hands on all of their Soul energy, to begin with!'
A soft sigh escaped his lips but Kyle shook his head and moved rapidly so as to appear in front of the BeeHive.
He was ready to face them, and shot a few wind needles straight at the Bee Hive, causing it to shake lightly.
Afterward, dozens of Deadly honey bees zoomed out of the huge Bee Hive before attacking him directly.
Controlling the loose stones in the surrounding, they made them hover in the air before throwing them at Kyle.
But that was not really something he was bothered about as he deflected them and manifested eight large compressed crescent wind blades.
They were under his control, and ready to slaughter the masses of deadly honey bees that approached him with high speed, ready to tear him apart with their sharp claws.
As such, the moment hundreds of bees attacked him at once, Kyle moved the crescent wind blades and positioned them in front of himself horizontally.
And it was only a moment later that he shot out his wind blades that were lined up behind each other.
Just seconds later, fountains of red began to burst as the blades sliced through the bees that began falling to the ground in heaps.
A glint emerged in Kyle's eyes without him realizing as his entire face was smudged by the blood that splattered through the surrounding.
