Stronghold In The Apocalypse

Chapter 115: Battle For The Airdrop

Chapter 115: Battle For The Airdrop

While Leo and his men are currently busy rummaging for supplies in the town where they are currently at.

Airdrops upon airdrops are being dropped all over the world for the remaining human survivors to obtain.

San Nicolas, Philippines.

This town is 2nd class municipality in the country with a size of 15.51 square miles.

And in the dark grey skies of the town, there's a C-47 Cargo Plane currently passing through the skies of the municipality and moments later, the hatch behind the plane opened and a square green size box around the size of one meter in diameter slowly dropped down from the plane and a green parachute was immediately deployed as it slowed its descend to the ground and the plane disappeared after.

A lot of people heard the plane passing by so a lot of survivors also saw the airdrop, armed survivors to ragged survivors immediately flocked towards the direction of where the airdrop was headed.

At a nearby survivor camp with a crimson flag fluttering in the wind with a fire emblem stitched on it with an old church in the middle of it.

"Men! On me! Let's go! Before that bast- I mean Baldur's group get there before us! That airdrop should be obtain by us!" John, the future Fire Lord is hurriedly instructing his men and when he noticed a beautiful nun smiling at him, he immediately changed the way he address a certain person's group..

"Yes boss!" his men solemnly replied as they immediately boarded the three pick-up vehicles.

The vehicles hurried off as the gate of the camp made from wood and covered in spikes and barbed wires slowly opened before them.

"Lesley! I'll be back!" John said smiling as waved towards the nun from the car's window

"Take care!" The woman wearing nun robes waved back at him with a face full of worries..

Whoosh~ Whoosh~ Whoosh!

The vehicles sped passed off as the gate hurriedly closed behind them. The very first vehicle just rammed towards the annoying zombies in their way where the zombies slowly became a meat paste when the three vehicles passed by them.

At another survivor compound just a few hundred meters away from where John's camp is.

A convoy of four vehicles also hastily came out from the camp's gate as they also headed towards the direction of the airdrop earlier.

Camp after camp sent their own retrieval teams even their leaders were forced to lead their own group just in case some mishaps happens to them.

The same thing was happening all over the world where towns and cities are being supplied by airdrops. This event are happening in Jamaica, Philippines, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Russia, United States of America, China and Japan.

The people behind this event are the still working government of that country.

Leo smiled as he removed his fingers from his earpiece communicator and muttered in a low voice, "It seems there are still surviving structure of a government in those countries for them to actually perform an airdrop, how generous of them"

Leo already found out about the airdrop from Isaac that as one of the trainee squads reported that they were able to secure an airdrop by sheer luck when they were performing a sweep in a nearby village, just a few kilometers away from Hope 101.

"Well, at least the surviving rate of humanity would at least increase a bit with those"

"Maybe, I should one of those too as the camp really had a lot of surplus lately and the farms are already up and running so running out of food is the least of my worries"

In the spacious land of the river near the town where the airdrop landed.

The place was over hundred meters wide with only one stream of the river flowing through it with weeds and the like growing on the side. The river stream was at least twenty meters wide and this is actually a long stretch of river that connects multiple towns and cities around the province where a lot of people earn their living through this body of water before the Apocalyptic Era started.

This place was just below a bridge that connects the provincial capital city of the province and the town of San Nicolas.

"What are you people doing!? We got here first!" John yelled angrily at the new group that just arrived but arrogantly even went as far trying to snatch the airdrop from them when they just arrived.

"Who came last or who came first, we don't care! It's the person who has the bigger fist does!" said one of the leader of the three groups that recently arrived and pulled out a long improvised spear made from iron from his back and arrogantly pointed it towards John.

"Do you believe I won't roast you to death!?" John grinned maliciously as his fist started getting covered in flames like Natsu Dragneel.

Broom~ Screech~!

A group of four vehicles just arrived and immediately came onto a long screeching halt when a bald guy stepped out of the car and looked laughingly at John, "Heh, I was still a bit far away but I can already hear your annoyingly arrogant voice, John!"

"Baldur! Bastard! Have a taste of my[Scorch Blast]!" John jumped down from the top of the car and punched out with his right fist towards Baldur's group as a scorching ball of fire around the size of around two meters in diameter.

"F*cking chuunibyou!" Baldur angrily yelled as the spear in his hand started rotating so fast like a plane propeller.

The spear on his hands was spinning so fast that it slowly produced a wind vortex and rushed towards the ball of fire hurling towards their direction.

When the two skills collided with each other

Kaboom!

The collision created a small shockwave that sent people and things flying for a few meters.

"Charge! Kill them!" John yelled angrily as he pulled a metal bat covered in spikes from the back of the vehicle beside him.

Ahhhh! Rumble~!

With his shout, signaled the inevitable battle among all groups around the Airdrop site.

John and his men charged valiantly towards Baldur's group and the latter also did the same while the other survivor groups that arrived also started fighting amongst themselves just for that small chance that they could obtain the airdrop for themselves.

The ensuing battle was like the old war in the middle ages where a melee battle was the center of a war that decides the result of defeat or victory.

Clang~ Clang~ Clang~

Multiple weapons started colliding with each other as their users try to kill the enemy in front of them.

"Baldur! Today, I will kill you!" John yelled angrily as he somersaulted forward towards Baldur with his Bat raised above his head covered in his flame ability.

"Shut up, you chuunibyou!" Baldur face started twitching as he brandished his spear as a small vortex of wind started covering the tip of the spear and then he angrily yelled as he leapt up in the air and met John as their weapons clashed head on in mid-air.

Boom!

Their small clash created a small shock wave that they were immediately sent flying into opposite directions.

John's left hand and feet scratched the dirt ground as he slid off backwards on the ground, creating a trail on its wake.
