Unfortunately, Lin Shen's plan quickly came to naught as the mutant pterosaur was beaten back, diving into the azure liquid and swiftly disappearing without a trace.

Its curved Life Base blade also flew away, its destination unknown.

After driving away the pterosaur, the triceratops climbed up the wall of the canyon and lay down in a hole, looking as if it had fallen asleep.

Lin Shen felt slightly frustrated; he had hoped to gain an advantage, but now he hadn't gotten any benefit at all.

Mists churned within Ring Mountain, and rocks that fell into the azure liquid turned into black-grey smoke.

As the smoke flew out, it settled on the mountain walls, gradually forming a layer of rock ash, covering the black material underneath.

"What a mysterious place," Lin Shen marveled inwardly. He wondered about the origins of its creator, who could wield such magical methods.

With a mutant triceratops there, Lin Shen didn't dare to go down. He planned to find another Ring Mountain to go inside and obtain some of the azure liquid for research, to see exactly what it was.

If the Supersource Dragon could rely on the energy provided by the azure liquid to restore its expended energy, could this liquid then be used as Ascension Liquid?

Just as he was about to leave, he noticed that the triceratops below had started moving. It rose from the hole and then dived into the azure liquid, vanishing from sight.

"That is... a Mutated Ascension Egg..." Lin Shen's eyes suddenly lit up when his gaze landed on the hole where the triceratops had been sleeping.

There was an egg with a black shell featuring azure and electric patterns inside. Without even thinking about it, he knew it must be newly laid by the triceratops.

"So they fought to the death over a nesting site!" Lin Shen finally understood.

Lin Shen's eyes were glued to the Mutated Ascension Egg below, momentarily uncertain and hesitant.

He feared that if he went to retrieve it now, the triceratops might suddenly return and move the Mutated Ascension Egg to another location after discovering him.

If he didn't take it now, the chance would be even slimmer once the triceratops came back.

"The early bird catches the worm; the latecomer suffers the loss." Lin Shen gritted his teeth and directly summoned the Evil Dragon, instructing it to fly into Ring Mountain and retrieve the Mutated Egg.

Obedient to Lin Shen's command, the Evil Dragon flew into Ring Mountain, diving toward the Mutated Ascension Egg.

As it neared the azure liquid, Lin Shen distinctly saw blue smoke rising from the Evil Dragon's body as if a stone pot was smoking over a fire.

Lin Shen was struck with alarm. Outside Ring Mountain, he hadn't felt the temperature within to be very high, but now he realized it was much hotter than he had imagined.

His flesh and blood body would be cooked, even with the Alloy Carapace for protection.

Luckily, the Evil Dragon's body was truly resilient, enduring the intense heat to forcefully snatch the Mutated Ascension Egg and bring it out.

Watching the smoke-enshrouded Evil Dragon fly out at high speed, Lin Shen was overjoyed.

Once it exited the entrance of the mountain, the Evil Dragon directly tossed down the Mutated Ascension Egg, and Lin Shen saw that its claws had melted slightly from the scorching heat.

The Mutated Ascension Egg rolled down the sides of Ring Mountain, and Lin Shen hastily followed it only to see steam continuously rising from the egg.

The azure light and electric patterns above carried an extremely high temperature, and it was this that scalded the Evil Dragon's claws.

Here, the environment was particularly cold, and the constant convection between the high heat and low temperature formed a mass of steam. It swirled around the Mutated Ascension Egg, resembling a white vortex of steam.

Lin Shen immediately grew worried. If this continued, the energy within the Mutated Ascension Egg would keep depleting and might very well turn into a dead egg.

But when it came to returning it back to Ring Mountain, Lin Shen was somewhat reluctant.

"If it's a dead egg, then let it be. At least it can still be sold for materials, and the liquid inside can be used as Mutated Ascension Liquid. It will be just right for my use later on," Lin Shen summoned Jiweis, instructing it to push the Mutated Ascension Egg away from Ring Mountain to avoid the Mutated Triceratops from finding it.

Even with the environmental suppression, Lin Shen did not dare to provoke the Mutated Triceratops.

Checking the time, there was less than an hour to go before he could return. Lin Shen simply didn't go elsewhere to hunt Supersource Dragons, choosing instead to wait for the countdown to end.

When the countdown finally ended, Lin Shen clenched his teeth and placed a hand on top of the Mutated Ascension Egg. Despite the protection of the Carapace, touching it still felt like touching a red-hot iron plate to Lin Shen.

Fortunately, his watch had already teleported him back, and the Mutated Ascension Egg had come to his room as well.

"Not good!" Lin Shen exclaimed as he saw the metal floor that had come into contact with the Mutated Ascension Egg starting to turn red, realizing that something was amiss.

Due to the presence of the Mutated Ascension Egg, the temperature inside the room kept rising. In just a short while, the curtains were almost igniting.

Without any hesitation, Lin Shen used his watch again to transport himself and the Mutated Ascension Egg back to Ring Mountain Planet.

Although there were other methods, Lin Shen didn't want others to see the Mutated Ascension Egg, so he had no choice but to teleport back again.

Bringing it back was a bit of a hassle, but leaving it outside would definitely result in a dead egg.

After much thought, Lin Shen gritted his teeth. By coordinating with the Evil Dragon and Jiweis, he managed to send the Mutated Ascension Egg back again.

He planned to find a place that could house the Mutated Ascension Egg after returning, and then come back to retrieve it.

This time Lin Shen only set the timer for one hour. By the time the egg was sent back, it was nearly time.

Returning to his room once more, dawn had already broken.

After getting up and washing up, he noticed that his big sister hadn't prepared breakfast as usual, and she hadn't urged him to go to the training camp either.

"Did big sister go out?" Lin Shen asked Lei, who was practicing Tai Chi in the yard, with a puzzled expression.

"Nope, the master of the house hasn't left today. I was also wondering about it. The master has never gotten up this late before. Maybe she got too tired from the business talks yesterday," Lei pondered and replied.

Lin Shen frowned slightly and turned towards his big sister's room.

"Big sister, are you there?" Lin Shen first knocked on the door of her room, then called out.

"Xiao Wu, what is it?" Lin Miao's voice came from inside the room.

Lin Shen immediately felt that something was off. Lin Miao's voice was fine, but her mood wasn't. He had never heard his big sister sound so down.

Without hesitation, Lin Shen pushed open the door, which was unlocked, only to see his big sister sitting on the bed, clutching something in her hands.

"Big sister, is that a Spirit Base in your hands?" Lin Shen looked over and asked uncertainly.
