From the outside, the changes to the Base Mutation Carapace didn't seem especially significant, nowhere as drastic as the changes during the alloy upgrade.

But Lin Shen was well aware that the enhancement brought by advancing to Crystal Base was no less than the upgrade to alloy.

Without going after more mutated warriors, Lin Shen devoted all his time to practicing various skills and familiarizing himself with his talents.

Jiweis, the Frost Swordsman, and the Death Powder were used as his sparring partners.

Both Jiweis and the Death Powder were strong enough, arguably at the peak of Base Mutation, but as long as Lin Shen used his talents, defeating them was not difficult.
