Chapter 162: Progress, Weapon, and Eat Lilith?
Lilith spent two days and used her connections to establish her guild in the Nether Wind City.
She left the management to the Dark Troupe and gave them more freedom in handling it.
Meanwhile, Rin and Erix finished refining their bodies to 100% with Lightning and Metal, respectively.
Now, they could turn their body into an elemental body for an extended amount of time and forever as long as they had Mana to spare.
"This is great!" Rin grinned and transformed into a lightning bolt before crossing a kilometer in a jiffy.
Erix appeared beside her via teleportation, and his body was glowing with exotic metals.
His arms, legs, head, and every part had different types of metal structures!
The wind rustled, and both of them felt a slight chill as they were a bit injured by it.
"The nether wind's power is increasing," Rin turned to the north and squinted her eyes.
Erix nodded.
"It seems like the so-called Nether Storm is coming. Let's return to the city."
The duo could make progress this fast in two days due to Lilith buying them a couple of high-grade Elemental fruits after they left the skill shop.
Soon, they returned to the city and felt all influence of the Nether Wind disappearing due to a giant formation placed around the city that resisted the Nether Wind's power.
All cities in the Nether Region had the same formation to prevent Nether Wind from damaging people and structures.
After the duo arrived at the mansion, they went to their room. Lilith was not there due to some minor work, but they had already planned to depart tomorrow morning.
On the other hand, Rin and Erix entered the Limitless Plane and started creating the spiritual formation. They were around 70% done with it, so it would still take several days to finish the entire formation and acquire their new spiritual power from their Spiritual Art.
After spending thirty minutes making 5% of progress, Erix was surprised.
'It seems that the stronger our spiritual power, the faster we progress.'
Erix's Spirit stat had already reached 73, and Rin's Spirit stat had reached 66 since Erix was ahead in the progress.
'I'll make my weapon's blueprint first,' Erix thought as he opened his eyes.
The chaotic stormy world around him vanished as his eyes saw the vast sea and blanket of islands in the Limitless Plane.
Rin was sitting beside him with her eyes closed, deep in meditation and in the chaotic stormy world to create the spiritual formation.
He flew away and went to another island so as not to disturb Rin's focus.
After arriving there, he rubbed his chin, his expression thoughtful. 'The outer structure material should be Starlite metal.'
Erix waved his hand, creating a huge piece of Starlite Metal before him with his imagination.
Limitless Plane was the best place to experiment with his creation since he wouldn't waste any real material and get the results quickly!
'Now, for the highest amount of the damage, I need a powerful material. Something akin to a uranium of Earth.'
'But I would also need to process that Uranium-like material in such a way that I would be able to release a powerful projectile from my weapon. '
'It would be hard to procure a large amount of such powerful material, so I need to create a core of it and a Sigil formation revolving around it so that my mana can be consumed to enrich it and then let it release the power.'
'This should reduce the consumption of the material.'
'As for my weapon's design…' Erix narrowed his eyes and waved his hand, thinking hard to create a proper and efficient design for his weapon.
Blue mana strings manifested before him as he shaped them into a proper blueprint of his weapon with several layers.
He could design it quickly and design it better since his focus and comprehension deepened in Limitless Plane.
'Easy to shoot. And I should be able to let it travel via my wormhole for almost guaranteed hits on the targets.'
Erix's Magsmith skill, Sigil Formation, was activated as he designed sigil formations to structure the weapon's internal pathways and how Mana would flow, condense, shape, and transform into the power he wanted.
After ten minutes, the blueprint was finally completed, making Erix speechless when he looked at the overall size of his weapon.
In short, It was a revolver. In long, the revolver's barrel was two meters long and fifteen centimeters thick. The revolving cylinder was a massive half a meter in diameter, allowing it to house an array of colossal rounds.
These rounds would be powered by the core of his weapon, which he would create using a powerful material akin to uranium that he would still need to find, and the sigil formation of it would use Mana to enrich the core and produce the powerful bullets in the cylinder.
Since it would be made of Metal, Erix wouldn't need to hold it in his hand. The revolver would just float beside him and fire at his will.
The weapon was bigger because he designed it according to the amount structures and sigil formations he would need for it.
'It's big, but it's fine. It's not like I need to hold it,' Erix shrugged.
'The blueprint is ready, but the materials are not. The outer structural material can be Starlite metal, but internal structure and parts need to be something that works with core, and for that, I need to decide what kind of core material I need.'
Erix put away the blueprint and imprinted it in his mind so he could design it outside. As for the core material, he would need to ask Lilith about that.
But he designed to spend the rest of the Limitless Plane's time back to creating the spiritual formation and joined back with Rin.
After a while, the duo's consciousnesses were kicked out of the Plane as they opened their eyes in their bedroom.
"Phew, done. Our Spirit stat increased again," Rin turned to Erix and saw his stats as she was surprised. "Eh? How did the progress between us shorten? You should be higher."
"I spent twenty minutes on my weapon designing," Erix shrugged. "Anyway, I need to ask Lilith something about the material. What's your plan?"
"The Nether Storm is still occurring, right?" Rin turned to the window and could see that the sky was dark and very windy. "I want to use this opportunity to feel this wind."
"I feel like I have an affinity with Wind, so I want to awaken it," Rin grinned. "And the best way is to sit on top of this mansion's terrace and spread my spiritual senses out of the city, far high in the sky, and feel the powerful nether wind of Nether Storm closely."
"That's a good idea," Erix raised his eyebrows and grabbed Rin's hand.
In the second, both of them disappeared and arrived on top of the mansion's terrace.
Their mansion was on the outskirts of the city with not much population since Dark Queen guild was new in this big city.
"Don't waste time and go for it," Erix nodded. "We don't know how long this will stay and when the next Nether Storm appears."
"Yeah. Alright, then, you go and leave me be. I'll definitely progress in this storm," Rin said, her eyes filled with a determined and excited glint.
She sat down cross-legged and released her spirit sense outside of the city's barrier.
However, a pained expression appeared on her face, and Erix was still there, so he saw it.
"What happened?"
"This nether wind, it's affecting my consciousness," Rin gritted her teeth, kept her eyes closed, and straightened her expression. "It's fine. If it affects my consciousness, then it's all the better. I'll be able to feel it more closely and understand it more."
"You go and do your work, Erix. I'll be fine."
Erix smiled and kissed her lips.
"Alright. Good luck and all the best."
…
Erix left and called Lilith.
[Erix: Where are you?]
[Lilith: I just returned. What are you two doing on terrece?]
[Erix: Rin wanted to experience Nether Storm with her Spirit sense. Anyway, I need your help a bit.]
[Lilith: Come to the kitchen. I am making food since I wanted to eat something.]
Erix laughed.
[Erix: I am coming, but you better wear a naked apron.]
Lilith giggled and replied.
[Lilith: Sure, darling. Come and eat me.]
