Swallowed Star 2: Origin Continent

Chapter 45: The Master and Disciple of the Fire Realm Restaurant

Chapter 45: The Master and Disciple of the Fire Realm Restaurant

The Fire Realm Restaurant was bustling with activity amidst the falling snow, filled with numerous guests.

Inside the small kitchen building, Suo Zhi was diligently preparing dishes. After over twenty eras, he had become one of the head chefs at the Fire Realm Restaurant. The owner, ‘Black Butcher,’ rarely cooked himself, leaving the main cooking tasks to the top chefs and their numerous disciples.

“Alright, serve it,” Suo Zhi said after finishing a Fire Realm Feast.

“Yes,” the waiting attendant immediately took the renowned ‘Fire Realm Feast’ to the guests.

Suo Zhi relaxed. As a head chef, he was responsible for important dishes, while ordinary dishes could be left to his junior brothers and sisters.

“Becoming a head chef has increased my earnings in chaos crystals significantly. If I endure a few more eras, I’ll have enough resources to attempt a breakthrough,” Suo Zhi thought, filled with anticipation for the future as he counted his growing savings.

“Brother Suo Zhi, your brother is here and calling for you,” came a voice from outside the kitchen building.

“Alright.” Suo Zhi walked out, as being a head chef wasn’t too demanding.

He walked familiarly into a hall where dozens of guests were seated, among them Suo Yun sat at the main seat.

“Suo Zhi,” Suo Yun called out.

Suo Zhi approached.

“Today I’m treating many of our brothers from Qianshan Tower,” Suo Yun laughed heartily. “You must cook personally! Our Qianshan Tower brothers are all very fond of your culinary skills.”

“The skills of the palace lord’s younger brother are well-known.”

“Thanks for the hard work, Brother Suo Zhi!”

The surrounding guests laughed. Those invited by Suo Yun were almost all Void True Gods from Qianshan Tower.

Suo Zhi, very accustomed to entertaining guests over the long years, smiled along. “I will certainly satisfy everyone. I’ll go prepare the dishes now.”

“Go ahead, come join us for a drink after you’re done,” Suo Yun instructed.

“Alright,” Suo Zhi exited the hall.

“Palace Lord Suo Yun, why don’t you have your brother join our Qianshan Tower as well?”

“Palace Lord Qiu, you don’t understand. My brother is determined to follow his master in learning culinary arts and is unwilling to join Qianshan Tower,” said Suo Yun, one of the thirty-nine palace lords of Qianshan Tower, holding a significant status.

Suo Zhi returned to the small kitchen building and looked at the detailed menu he received through the communication order. He assigned simple dishes to his junior brothers and sisters but handled many of the main courses himself.

“Over the twenty-plus eras in Huyang City, Suo Yun has completely changed,” thought Suo Zhi, who had grown up with Suo Yun in their tribe, noticing the changes in Suo Yun since their time in Huyang City. “It’s hard to tell which of his words are true or false.”

“He often comes to the Fire Realm Restaurant not because of me but to have a chance encounter with Divine Lord Luo He,” Suo Zhi understood this well. “He was recruited and promoted to palace lord by the dark forces of Qianshan Tower because of Divine Lord Luo He.”

In these twenty-plus eras, Suo Zhi had welcomed countless guests, sensing the invisible influence of Divine Lord Luo He.

Because of Divine Lord Luo He, many Eternal True Gods were willing to visit the Fire Realm Restaurant.

Because of Divine Lord Luo He, the restaurant had expanded its territory several times and its business had greatly improved.

Because of Divine Lord Luo He, Suo Zhi had received significant nurturing from the owner.

“Divine Lord Luo He has arrived,” the waiters of the Fire Realm Restaurant suddenly became excited, spreading the news among themselves.

“Divine Lord Luo He has arrived?” Suo Zhi looked outside the small building, spotting Luo Feng, Morosa, and Moyu Qingyan descending from afar, greeted proactively by the owner, ‘Black Butcher.’

“Your Excellency,” Black Butcher greeted warmly and respectfully.

He had also come to the Origin Continent through the trials of reincarnation, struggling to reach his current status. It was because Luo Feng liked visiting the Fire Realm Restaurant that his days had improved significantly. Over these twenty-plus eras, he had rapidly accumulated resources.

He didn’t mind being humble. What he feared was losing hope. In the long years before, running the restaurant often resulted in minimal profit or even losses due to the exploitation by dark forces. The good days of these twenty-plus eras had brought him more wealth than all the previous years combined, enabling him to buy resources to aid his cultivation.

“Black Butcher, your Fire Realm Feast keeps getting better. I start craving it if I don’t come for a while,” Luo Feng said with a smile.

“Your Excellency’s enjoyment is my honor. I’ll head to the kitchen and do my best to make it even better,” Black Butcher said with a sincere smile. “Entropy Supreme and the others are at the usual spot.”

Luo Feng nodded and flew towards the familiar hidden small building.

As he flew, the waiters of the Fire Realm Restaurant greeted him with great respect. Many guests also showed extreme reverence, including Suo Yun, who was among them.

“That’s Suo Yun, who joined the dark forces. He and Suo Zhi… have chosen completely different paths,” Luo Feng observed, easily memorizing all the faces with a glance.

He was still quite attentive to Suo Zhi and Suo Yun.

After all, they were the first batch of living beings he had saved when he came to the Origin Continent, and they had arrived in Huyang City with him. Luo Feng was eager to see their future development.

But joining the dark forces was something Luo Feng disliked.

Luo Feng flew to the hidden small building.

“Brother Luo He,” Entropy Tianyan and another Eternal True God, Sang Shuiyun, were already waiting at the entrance.

Moyu Qingyan stood guard outside the building.

Morosa, now relaxed, walked to a nearby small building, instructing Black Butcher, “Prepare some food and drinks. You know my preferences.”

“Rest assured, I understand,” Black Butcher immediately made arrangements. Having been around for so long, he could sense the unusual relationship between this servant ‘Rosa’ and Divine Lord Luo He.

Black Butcher then steeled his resolve and adjusted his mindset, preparing to put his all into making the Fire Realm Feast. After all, ‘Divine Lord Luo He’ was his most important guest and must be well-served.

From a distance, Suo Yun watched Luo Feng enter the small building, squinting in thought.

“Palace Lord Suo Yun, is that Divine Lord Luo He?” Palace Lord Qiu asked, gazing with envy and reverence. As a core member of the dark forces of Qianshan Tower, Palace Lord Qiu knew well that Divine Lord Luo He was the pinnacle existence in Huyang City, someone even the Five Great Families had to respect.

“Yes, it was Divine Lord Luo He who saved my life. Without him, my brother and I would have died long ago,” Suo Yun sighed in admiration.

Inside the hidden small building.

Luo Feng, Entropy Tianyan, and Sang Shuiyun took their seats.

Entropy Tianyan smiled, “Brother Luo He, when you called for me, I happened to be with Sang Shuiyun at this Fire Realm Restaurant.”

“You two are quite close, always together,” Luo Feng teased.

In Huyang City, there were two Eternal True Gods infatuated with the ‘Pavilion Master of Dream Flower Pavilion,’ namely Entropy Tianyan and Sang Shuiyun. Though rivals in love, they were actually good friends.

“When we both first arrived in Huyang City, we were lonely and unattached, and that’s when we became friends,” Sang Shuiyun shook his head. “Even now, I still live freely and unattached, while he has founded Tianyan Sect, tirelessly teaching a bunch of disciples, adding burdens to himself.”

Sang Shuiyun, with his wings and a perpetually desolate air, had a somewhat reclusive nature.

“I have spent countless efforts on refining tools; I must pass on my skills,” Entropy Tianyan said.

“Why must you pass on your skills? There are many refining masters on the Origin Continent better than you. Your skills being lost wouldn’t matter much,” Sang Shuiyun said. “Don’t think too highly of yourself. We’re just insignificant ripples on the Origin Continent.”

“Even a small ripple can make waves. Your decadent attitude makes you less than a ripple, just dust,” Entropy Tianyan retorted.

“I’m dust, and you’re a ripple,” Sang Shuiyun shook his head. “If you want to pass on your skills, just take a few disciples. Founding a sect binds you, and you’ll never be truly free. Fortunately, you befriended Divine Lord Luo He. It’s only because of him that you’ve been able to live freely these past twenty-plus eras.”

“Haha, I do owe thanks to Brother Luo He,” Entropy Tianyan looked at Luo Feng. “In the past, I couldn’t shake off many troubles because of the sect. Now, no force dares to go too far.”

Luo Feng said, “Brother Entropy, if you didn’t care about the sect and your disciples, you could live freely like Sang Shuiyun.”

Sang Shuiyun nodded, “He’s just foolish.”

“If you can’t speak properly, just leave. I have important matters to discuss with Brother Luo He,” Entropy Tianyan urged.

“Leaving,” Sang Shuiyun said, getting up and strolling away.

Luo Feng watched Sang Shuiyun.

He could feel Sang Shuiyun’s reclus

iveness, as if nothing in this world truly mattered to him, like a passing guest.

“Sang Shuiyun’s temperament, and yet you became friends with him,” Luo Feng remarked.

“He’s a lot like me,” Entropy Tianyan said.

“Alike?” Luo Feng was surprised.

To him, Entropy Tianyan and Sang Shuiyun had completely different temperaments. One loved making friends and teaching disciples, running a sect, while the other was extremely reclusive, caring for no one.

“In Huyang City, I understand him the best, and he understands me the best,” Entropy Tianyan smiled. “Maybe that’s why we’re both infatuated with the Pavilion Master of Dream Flower Pavilion.”

“I don’t understand you two,” Luo Feng shook his head.

Over the twenty-plus eras, Luo Feng and Entropy Tianyan had become very close, their personalities meshing well. Luo Feng felt compassion for the weak, and so did Entropy Tianyan; otherwise, he wouldn’t have devotedly taught his disciples.

They ate and chatted casually, feeling at ease.

Suddenly—

“Buzz.”

A small universe domain appeared at the Fire Realm Restaurant.

Luo Feng and Entropy Tianyan turned to look, their gazes piercing the walls to see the restaurant owner, ‘Black Butcher,’ who, while fully immersed in preparing the Fire Realm Feast, suddenly had an epiphany, breaking through his final bottleneck.

The mastered source of laws naturally formed a domain.

“Unexpectedly, the owner of the Fire Realm Restaurant broke through and became an Eternal True God,” Entropy Tianyan was surprised.

“To think he broke through to Eternal True God while making us a Fire Realm Feast. This feast must be delicious,” Luo Feng felt a bit of anticipation.
