Temporal Pearls

Chapter 110: Impudent Guests

This time Redop wasn't just guiding, he gave out some advice as he explained that the valley is both dangerous and also there to protect them against invaders.

The moment Seth came out of the mountain door, he smelled the stale dry air of dead land.  Redip grabbed a backpack from somewhere and handed it to Seth, telling him that he should fill it. Then they discussed how to split the stones and they agreed on 20% for Seth.

Seth then stepped forward and the pressure of the continent pressed on him. His first might pressure resistance activated and his cloak too activated.

Seth began to smile because he was already feeling his Pure White Stone Will cleaning itself from being trained by the Red Valley. That was the reason he wished to leave the Valley, another reason was, he was going back to Living Roots to document what he learned so far!

After he went far and hid behind a sand rock, Seth set up his house and sat inside. There were too many Abhorrent monsters in the night and he couldn't avoid all of them. And he had told Redop that he would only be able to move around freely during the daytime and the man agreed.

Sitting, Seth looked at his tattoo and found the red was still there, it wasn't increasing but it was subsiding slowly. He sighed and then began to write all he had learned in the 2 days he spent in the Valley. And then he calmed his heartbeat and entered into Stone Heart Stealth. he then pushed himself to sleep.

At dawn, he stood and took back his stuff and continued walking. When the sun was up and cloak and first might pressure were active he began to run, when they were on cool down, he stopped, eating and drinking before he walked forward.

Along the way, he picked large and good black some he came across. In normal sight, the core stone is black, under Aura its pulses with red. and after it was refined it turned to Red stones.

Another thing was based on the level of the Abhorrent monster, the stones were bigger, harder or heavier. He concluded Abhorrent at levels 1 to 3 have normal small stones. Level 4 to 6, the stone was big, some even fist size. Level 6 to 9 the stone was normal size but when touched it was very hard. Level 10 was small too but heavy and hard.

They might be eluding, but Seth with Aura Sight can see bright red on Level 10 core and medium red on levels 6 to 8. From levels 1 to 5 they pulsed with red. And some don't even pulse.

So, all Seth did was look at them to identify the high-level stone and then he picked them. Night came, he stopped and a day came he continued.

"This bag is bottomless!" Seth exclaimed. The amount of level 6 to 10 red cores he put in was enough to fill twice the size of the bag but it wasn't even heavy and when he looked inside he was able to see them all.

Eventually, Seth saw the silhouette of the forest, he then began to run. He doesn't know when he began to laugh in happiness as if someone who came back home after a long lost journey.

To his surprise, he felt the Green Cloak desire to be part of the forest too. And as he ran, the cloak didn't go on cooldown until he was inside the embrace of the forest.

<Welcome back>

The forest swayed and he just felt as if the forest was welcoming him. Seth smiled as he dropped to the ground panting. His exertion point remained 1. He may have collapsed on the continent.

Ding!

[You journeyed further away in the Gawee Continent and found another Sanctuary, Red Valley and also survive its Enthrallment]

[Pure White Stone Will 2>4]

Seth removed his jacket and checked the tattoo, it was then he found the red being absorbed by his skin and the Pure White Stone Will improving and when it was completely white Seth felt his mindset becoming more firm and full of confidence.

It was now that he was able to think properly and also analyzed things that he has been through!

Seth then stood and ran to his Village but he suddenly stopped. He saw Black Panther with a missing leg. It bared her teeth but after Seth knelt and said, "Calm down." It recognised him.

He walked to her and touched her head. "What happened?" He asked. As he saw many more injuries on her body.

He then plants his staff and increased his perception but he doesn't hear another monster or animal. He also knows for sure Living Roots will not allow any abomination to get in.

"It might be another ferocious animal or…" Seth concluded. Instead of investigating, Seth found a place with a large rock and sat, he calmed his heart and entered Stone Heart Stealth.

He has to recover his Exertion Point before he faces whatever danger lurking in the forest if there was any.

[Log Out in 10 minutes]

Seth grimaced but then he agreed.

Sling:

Anna was out looking at him. "10 hours!" She said, "about 3 days!" Seth said. This confirmed he was having time dilation and also without adverse effects.

Seth then spent time attending online classes, thankfully, they haven't arranged the cabin class but it was just a normal computer system login class. After that, he smelled the scent of the Colourful Balls.

The next day, Sling.

Opening his eyes, Seth found a man standing informed of him. He had bound him in chains and dragged him somewhere.

'My stealth doesn't work on people?.' Seth laments his stupidity. He used it against Dave, even though he said he didn't recognise Seth but Seth assumed if he looked hard enough the player would have seen him.

"Sir, someone is hiding in your territory!" The man that was dragging Seth addressed a man in a black cloak.

Inside Roots Village Square two dozen people stood in a circle. One, in Black Cloak at the centre, stared at Seth.

Seeing the person, Seth relaxed a little, he's a player but seeing how the man was looking at him, while also hiding his face in the cloak, Seth didn't say a thing and didn't calm his guard.

"What is your name and how did you come here?" A feminine voice sounded under the black cloak, Seth changed his mind and realized this player was a woman.

Seth didn't say a thing but then he jumped back, however, the female player dashed forward and stretched her hand and released a black smoke that almost touched Seth but due to Seth's levitation traits his jump was fast and he activated Green Cloak Stealth, his body blurred away and they miss him and he vanished into the forest.

"Seth Enoch!" Seth shouted within the forest. "Who are you, where did you come from? And what are you doing in my village!"

The two dozen men had already run into the forest looking at the trees trying to identify where Seth was. The woman casually walked to where Seth was hiding.

"Seth Enoch. I swept this forest but I didn't find any humans until now. Where have you been hiding? Don't tell me you were in the Dead Lands!"

"No name, no conversation!" Seth shouted.

"Malini Sadwa!"

"Yeah, I went on some adventure. Why with the hostility? You, guests, are unreasonable!"

"This is Gawee." She casually said, "Come down and talk. No need for hostility"

"Ask your man to throw my staff and I will consider your offer!" Seth said. The player nodded at the man holding his staff to throw it at a particular tree.

A blurry person appeared and grabbed the staff but the person throwing the staff turned black as charcoal and the female Player raised her hand toward Seth fast.

Seth suddenly found himself in a dark space and him being pulled down, but then.

~Size Reschedule!

The man turned to smoke and enveloped Seth, disoriented his perception but suddenly his staff extended fast and landed on the ground and pushed upward. The black smoke that covered his face vanished and he saw the sun and blue sky and he kept moving up. Till he tilted and dropped on the closest tree before he fled.

He was out of the range of the woman's control of black smoke.

But there was a lingering black smoke on his body. However, after moving far away from the player it dispersed.

Seth found a place to hide to comprehend what happened.

"The people were men in leather armour. They seem to obey her, absolutely her. She in particular can manipulate black smoke to obscure people's vision and also use it to manipulate her dark cloak.

"Is she a Temporal Warrior?" Seth wondered out loud.

"No. I'm not!" He heard her voice just beside him before his vision became black.
