Chapter 86: Sir Mathew
"Don't hurt him, you know he has a weak body!" The man added. That was when the agent dropped Seth at the entrance of the parlour and walked to one corner of the room and stood.
Sarah came to Seth's rescue and pulled him to one side of the room.
"As we were saying, giving you 10% of the share will be alright in that company due to the narrated reasons!" The man concluded with a fake kind smile.
Adam stammered as he said, "We… understood you, sir Mathew!" Adam then turned to the other elders of the family and they all nodded their heads vigorously.
"Okay, let's all sign the contract, right!" Sir Mathew, the main character of the meeting, said. His Secretary brought some papers and handed them to Adam, and he signed them before he handed the papers to other elders and they all signed them. Other papers were also provided and some of the kids that were present signed.
"What about that place in Marquez Street!" The Secretary asked. "Let us finish with this one, okay!" Sir Mathew said.

Seth on the other hand his heart gripped, what about that place? That is his place. 'Hopefully, they aren't talking about my workshop!' He calmed down.
"Seth Enoch, right?" The man stared at him. He gulped down, Seth was overwhelmed just by glancing at him. He did know that people that have been in a place of authority for a long time developed a dignified presence.
"Y..yes!" Seth found him answering.
"Come close here and talk about some business!" Usually, Seth would have begun cursing the man in his mind or imagined him to have duck feet in order to curb away the anxiety he was feeling. But his thought process was different and he couldn't even think straight.
"It's alright. Just talk normally!" Sarah whispered at him. Seth walked and sat before the man.
"I heard you are Lady Manuella's Student. How is she?"
"She is… fine!"
"Good. I want to buy your workshop. Is it possible?"
"No!"
'Haha, the great me. Looks like my love for art is better than my fear and anxiety!' Seth was amazed by his answer, but it was hard to stay thoughtful before the man. He was really afraid he would agree. However, He had won the first war.
The people around were flabbergasted by his quick answer. Not only that, he was staring the man straight in the eye.
Sarah was frightened but she smiled seeing her son wasn't a simp like them. Well, they have been in this oppressed life far longer and their courage was gradually stripped away. But still, she wished he hadn't said that directly.
"Can I know why?" The man was still composed and doesn't seem offended at all. In fact, there was an amused smile on his face.
"It's mine!" That was the short answer Seth could mumble.
"Of course, that's why I was asking"
"Ahm, Seth, how about you consider the kind sir proposal? We can build you another one in Baronet Street." Jonathan said. He was one of the elders and relative to Seth.
Seth thought but he shook his head, "No. That place is better."
"I guess you are green in business. One needs to consider the location, people and also the type of market. As of now, that location is far and also lacks the customers that may need your service!" Jonathan insisted.
As the man spoke he was looking at Seth intently trying to put some pressure on him and agree to his suggestion. However, what worried Seth was what his mother thought about this situation.
He didn't think long before he answered, "What I aim for can not be achieved in Baronets Street."
"And what do you want to achieve!" The Class A sir asked. His inviting smile still hung on his face as if he wasn't coaxing anyone to do his bidding.
"Recognition and satisfaction!" Seth said.
"I believe that can be achieved anywhere!" Jonathan said sternly. And then he began to explain how Baronet was the better choice for more than 10 minutes. Some uncles nodded and even added their experience and also they spoke about some potential customers they knew that were willing to ask for Seth's service.
As for Seth, he had his eyes read all their faces and one thing was they were desperate and terrified. He tried hard not to sneer at their cowardice. But he knew by logic they have the right to be afraid but … did he?
"I do not Paint to get wealth. If wealth I want, I can go on the path of computer programming, AI setting and other server settings. I Paint because it satisfies my heart and mind." Seth explained before he looked at the business and added.
"I'm sorry, I'm not willing to sell my workshop!" His eyes were straight in the man's eyes.
"Ah, well. It's fine. No one will force you!" The man said dismissively and then he began to discuss other things with the elders there.
Seth went back to his mother's and he didn't fail to notice that both his family and some people the man came with were glaring at him from time to time.
He gulped down and looked at his mother. He was surprised to find her relieved. There was a genuine smile and relaxed shoulders after a session of stressfulness.
An hour later, the guests left, as if timed, that was when Anna came back from the capital. She was pissed about something and after inquiring about what happened, she went mad and began to throw curses and destroy things.
First of all, she was no longer considered to be a Champion. That means the support from the government and monthly allowance was stopped.
Secondly, all the people she was counting on have turned their back on her. People from Class B and A she had lent money all denied her and claimed that she was accusing them. What was worse was that even with all the evidence she provided the court just turned a blind eye to them.
The only straw that remained that didn't allow the whole family to go down completely was the unassuming Raaz and Manuella.
While the elders took Anna upstairs to calm her down and discuss possible solutions. Seth was sad as he gazed at their garden through the window, he lamented that he was unable to help his sister.
Countless thoughts pass through his head trying to come up with viable solutions. His first bet was Manuella. But the thing was one may act high and mighty and also command respect from anyone around but that doesn't mean they can influence something tangible to happen.
People respect Manuella but that is. They do not fear her. She had no power behind that. One thing that made him come to that realization was the fact he sat on the floor the first time he had been to Silver mansion. If her reputation was beyond respect, Sally or her brother Zach will welcome him and also offer him chairs to sit in.
Because that was what happened to other powerful and highly influential families. A slave that belongs to the highest influential person will be welcomed by all people they visited.
The next person was Nanncy. Sadly if people knew he had any kind of connection with her, then, he and his family would be in a more dangerous situation than now.
Seth shook his head in frustration when suddenly he felt an impact on the right side of his face and then he was sent flying and his head hit the wall.
"What the hell did you do? You want to kill us too. It's because your uncle Joseph is in hospital. And now you want to drown the rest of the family in your pride!"
A tall man, older than Seth, was fuming with anger. Over three people held him in place not to strike Seth again.
"You damn fucker. If you want to die, die alone, don't drag us with you!" The man added.
"What is happening here!" Audu, another uncle, walked in. Looking at the youths. His eyes veered from the angry child of his and those that were holding him. They are all angry and upset. Evidently, Seth answers but they didn't resort to attacking Seth for that.
Seth, on the other hand, was barely sitting, his right face was swollen, tears in his eyes and his hand on his jaw. He was also trying to sit down but kept failing because a single hand can't lift him.
"What the fuck happened here!" Anna stormed the room right after Audu. She had been told what happened when the businessman came and she was more than pissed. Suddenly she heard another commotion, expecting to see the man come back. It turned out it was her brother that punched to the wall by an angry man
