Ten Years of Yearning. My Love, Let Me Protect You.

Nana was sulking inwardly while walking along the corridors. Suddenly she came before Luo Lixi's room. She opened the room stealthily and looked around inside. Luo Lixi was alone in there. 

"Heh! What a loser!" she said while mocking her and walked towards her arrogantly. She was very jealous of this sleeping woman. 

Luo Lixi got everything that she couldn't have. It pissed her off. When her sight fell on her hand, she immediately went up to her and snatched the bracelet harshly. Luo Lixi's hand became slightly red due to it.

Nana began to touch the bracelet and put it on her hand. "Wow, it looks very beautiful in my hand." she giggled like a fool as she looked at her hand. 

"It is such a waste in your hand. Let me have it for some time." 

She began to walk around the room and touched things randomly. There were some files in Sheng Ruming's desk. She picked them up and caressed Sheng Ruming's handwriting. 

"Wah! His handwriting is so beautiful. You say, if I can become his girlfriend won't it be for the best. Hihi!" she was laughing nonstop like a maniac but abruptly stopped.

"But he doesn't like me. He even insulted me TWO times! I'm very sad." she shot her a sharp look this time as if she wanted to stab her to death. Suddenly a bad idea crossed her mind.

"Wait, young master went to the company. He'll be back by noon at the least. Why don't I..."

Nana wore a cheeky smile as she went to her. "Your skin is so soft. It's like tofu but... I don't like it at all." she was caressing her cheek vigorously and suddenly pinched her very hard.

"Does it hurt? Why don't you wake up and tell me?" Nana patted her cheek heavily and was going to stand straight when she saw two clear black eyes were staring at her straight. Her body stiffened in horror. 

They looked into each other's eyes for a long time. She couldn't even move as if her soul had left her body. She realised what had happened. 

Luo Lixi had gained consciousness and it was at the worst time. 

Nana immediately took off the bracelet from her hand and wrapped it around Luo Lixi's hand shakingly. She literally just fled from there.

'Where am I? What is this place? Luo Lixi was floating above an ocean. She was going from this side to that side but couldn't find a ground. 

'I'm very hungry. I want to eat something. I want to drink water.' She wanted to touch the water in the ocean but it leaked from her hands.

 'Wah! Grandpa, where are you? I'm very scared. I'm very alone here. Where are you all?' she was crying and screaming hysterically but she couldn't do anything except it.

Suddenly she felt pain and her consciousness was dragged from there. Her eyes opened slightly but due to sensitivity towards light, she couldn't immediately open them. 

After sometime she opened them."...don't you wake up and tell me?" she heard a person saying something.

'Who is she?' she vaguely could see a silhouette moving in front of her. 

Then she saw it was a maid. She felt pain in her hand and on her face but couldn't say anything. She only stared in that person's eyes. It was very pleasing to see a human after so long.

She was trying to move her lips when that woman ran away.'Hey! Don't go...' She shouted in her mind.

'Just what happened? Why did she run away?Argh! I'm thirsty...' she tried to move her hands but felt a sudden stiffness in her whole body.

'Why is my face hurting so badly?' She raised her hand to touch her face. But her sight fell at her hand there was a light pain. When she looked at it, there was a beautiful bracelet on it. 

'It's so pret...' She didn't finish her thoughts when her sight landed on the cut mark. 

She touched it slightly, 'Wait. It wasn't a DREAM! Xiao Xiang really wanted to kill me!'

Her thoughts began to clear up. She remembered when he wanted to throw her in the river they were afraid she would survive. She struggled desperately to run away but he caught her and dragged her there.

 That's why he cut her veins with a sharp knife so that she would be weak and couldn't run away again. She was in so much pain back then that it couldn't be described in words.

'Why? Just why did you do this to me?' Luo Lixi began to cry silently. Tears were flowing down by her cheeks. There was so much pain in her heart, she felt suffocated.

'Grandfather...' When she thought about him she started sobbing and as time went by, it intensified. She raised her hand to rub her chest when a person came in the room.

Sheng Ruming didn't allow the doctors to put sensors in her fingers. He thought she would be awake according to the doctors but she didn't. That's why when she woke up they didn't get notified.

The nurse came to the room, as usual, to change her I.V. drip when she saw this scene. She exclaimed as she unconsciously blurted out.

"Miss, you're awake?! Thank God!" she went to the duvet hurriedly. 

"How are you feeling? Can you say something?" She noticed her tears but didn't mention it. Sometimes people became very emotional when they woke up from a coma.

"Wa...ter. I want to..." her voice was hoarse as she didn't use her vocal cord for a long time.

"Please wait a second. I'll bring a doctor. Also, don't go to sleep. Try to remain awake." the nurse said and ran away to bring a doctor.

Sheng Ruming brought a doctor from the hospital for two days in case she woke up and needed an immediate check-up but she didn't. 

Now, that doctor finally could fulfil his task and return to the Ailin hospital. He was a doctor who was supposed to work there but ended up to wait for a single patient. It was really irritating to do nothing all day but to wait for someone to wake up. He wanted to return to the hospital but director Xiao didn't allow it.
