"My baby, don't be upset. You should go to get the best treatment out there as soon as possible. if I knew about this matter, I wouldn't have arranged those dates for you. I'm so sorry." She apologised as she thought, she had hurt him unknowingly.

Sheng Ruming was stunned when he heard her. 'What are you talking about? I was thinking about Lixi when I said that. If I don't trap her in my plan how could I have children with her? Only she has the right to be the mother of my babies.' He had this thought for a long time. 

As this thought came to his mind, he couldn't help but picture the sight of it in his mind. It was really sweet. 'But it's also good enough as long as Ma doesn't arrange another date for me.' he sighed in his mind as he decided to go along with his mother's misunderstanding.

Sheng Ruming had the thought of keeping Luo  Lixi by his side for the rest of his life. For that to happen, he had to convince her first to stay with him. 

But 'Luo Corporation' was very influential as well as her grandfather. If he knew his granddaughter was here then he would do anything to take her away. Also, he couldn't always keep her in check as she would definitely find a way to contact her family. 

'No! I've already lost her once. Not again. Today I need to have a good talk with her.' he thought as determination filled his mind. 

Wei Airan could feel the change of his bad mood as well as the turbulent emotions of her son. Her heart ached for him. "Son, let me accompany you abroad when you go. I should take care of you." She told him as she began to think this matter thoroughly.

"You don't have to worry about me. There will be stuff for taking care of me. Both of you have to stay safe and healthy here. Then I'll be reassured and can put my mind in the treatment." he said as he felt a little uncomfortable talking about this matter.

"Hmm." She smiled too as she saw him smiling. "By the way, a few days ago, I bought something for you." She stood up and went to the little safe box placed at a corner of the room. She typed a string of numbers in the digital locker. After unlocking it, she took a box from it and went up to him. 

"Son, I've bought this for you." Wei Airan showed a custom made hand watch to him. "It's a new limited edition watch. When I went shopping some days ago, I liked it and thought it would suit you."  She put the watch on his hand as she spoke. Afterwards, they talked for almost thirty minutes about some random topics.

Sheng Ruming looked at the new watch in his hand. It was quite late. Luo Lixi wanted to talk with him and he was sure she would be waiting for him as it seemed it was something important. 

"Ma, I've to go now. Call me when you want to talk to me." he said as he stood up.

"Can't you stay for a little longer?" she was very reluctant to see him off so soon.

"No, let's talk on the phone if you want to talk to me later. Also, I'll come back another day." he reassured her as they went out. 

"Aunt Lin, I'll be going now. Please take care of your health." he politely said. 

"Yes, young master. Please come often. Your mother misses you a lot." 

"Hmm." They went downstairs together. Sheng  Haotin was watching the news on TV as usual.

"Father, I'll be going now." He went to him and bid him farewell. 

"Hmm." He just hummed in response and didn't add anything further. 

Sheng Ruming bid them farewell a second time as he went to the gate. Wei Airan and aunt Lin followed him out as well. Suddenly he stopped in his tracks.

"Ma, the box..." 

"Oh! it slipped out from my mind." She wanted to go inside but aunt Lin stopped her and brought the box herself. 

Sheng Ruming thanked her as he went up to a car and stepped in. It was another car of his which he used randomly. As he came here in his father's car, if he went back in that; he would know his location. Afterwards, the car drove away from the villa.

When the car went out of her vision, Wei Airan returned inside. She went to sit beside Sheng Haotin and leaned on his shoulder.

"Happy?" he asked her.

"Yes, I'm very happy." She replied as she smiled boomingly. His mood also improved after seeing her good mood. Afterwards, they started to watch TV together.

After sleeping the whole day, Luo Lixi couldn't fall asleep at night. When she ate food today, she felt her taste buds were a little dull. But it was better to eat than to have an empty stomach. 

Also she chatted with the nurse who was in charge of her. She inquired her about her body conditions and the happenings of the past two months. She got to know that Sheng Ruming had saved her from a river, also he was the one who took care of her every necessity. 

The nurse also told her about his visits to her and that he used to stay beside her for a long time and accompanied her in her lone time.

It was past ten at that time when she was thinking about everything in her mind while laying in the bed. She was waiting for him as she looked at the tableside clock. 

After pondering, she sat up and removed the fluffy bedsheet aside. She put on a pair of slippers and walked to the window as she opened it. 

There were many lights in the whole vicinity of the villa as all of them were turned on. She looked outside and could see everything clearly. 'I want to go outside...' This thought began to roam in her restless mind as she looked outside.

Afterwards, she went to the washroom. The reflection of her in the mirror was of a skinny figure. She was a little pale as she looked at her reflection in the mirror. She touched it slightly, "I didn't die...I'm still alive." she smiled wryly at the reflection in front of her.
