Ten Years of Yearning. My Love, Let Me Protect You.

"Now, let me go. I've to take a bath. Also, you reek of sweat. You should take a bath too." She answered impatiently as she tugged at his hands to let go of her.

"Ok." Sheng Ruming reluctantly let go of her waist. "I'll be waiting for you to have breakfast together. Finish early. Only after that, I'll go to the company." He said as he looked at her.

"Hmm." She nodded as she hurriedly went back to her room. The two maids followed closely behind her.

Slowly his smile vanished from his face as he returned to his room. He called Wang Haixiao and told him about his plan to finish his work in the company within a month. Wang Haixiao went into a panic mood when he heard it.

"Boss, even if it is possible to do so much manual work in a month, I think it is not good. There are so many projects which can't be confirmed within this short period of time. Also, you have many meetings scheduled till next month..." He didn't get to finish when he heard a deep, frosty voice coming from the other end of the phone.

"Reschedule them all. Also for the most important projects which can't be done in this month, I'll ask my father to take care of them. Let's talk in the company."

Sheng Ruming didn't give any chance to him to speak any further and cut the line abruptly. 

Afterward, he undressed himself and entered the bathroom to have a quick shower. He was drenched in cold water as he looked at the mirror and thought about what to do next.

Sheng Ruming's bathrobe was slightly opened as he looked out of the French windows of the room. All these years, it has always been him and his loneliness. He felt so lonely when he had to divert his focus in work to forget about her. Now that she was beside him, he had to make sure she would be always with him.

Sheng Ruming was talking on the phone with his left hand and was continuously tapping his right hand in the laptop. He was seated at a sofa as he was multitasking. He was instructing Ji Yanli about some business matters on the phone. He wore a white shirt clad in a royal blue suit and a black tie; looking like a perfect professional businessman. 

He looked at his watch on his left hand as he was typing. It was already past thirty minutes as he was waiting for her to come down. While waiting, he thought to do some progress in his pending works.

When he was working, he was so fully absorbed in the work that he didn't notice the woman who had come to the stairs and was looking at him silently from up there.

After some time, he heard the sound of footsteps. He tilted his gaze slightly and directed his gaze upstairs.

He could see a girl standing above there. A girl in a light yellow dress which had little flowers embroidered in it and little crystals in the middle. It reached till a little below her thighs. She wore the pair of black sandals as it bloomed like black feathers on her exquisite legs.

Luo Lixi had a slim body, long hair reaching her waist, her glances were enticing and her lips were red like strawberries. She was a real beauty with pale skins and perfect body shape. Her beauty was so enticing that any man could drown in her tempting allure.

Sheng Ruming's eyes lit up when he looked at her. He stopped talking on the phone and looked at her as she was coming towards him. The other two women were walking behind her.

Luo Lixi heard the words of him talking at the phone. She walked to him and stood beside him.

"Hello, boss. Are you there?" Ji Yanli asked as he stopped talking. Luo Lixi heard it and looked at him in the eyes.

"Busy?" She asked as she looked at his laptop.

Ji Yanli stopped asking when she heard a woman's voice.

He didn't answer Luo Lixi immediately as he talked on his phone. "That's for now."

He placed the laptop at a side and looked up to her. "No, just waiting for you."

She looked at his laptop. There were some business proposals in it. She sat down beside him and took it from his lap and started to scroll down. 

Sheng Ruming looked at her serious face. He didn't stop her even if he was getting late for the company. He waved his hands at the maids, telling them to go away. 

Afterwards, he turned to look at her and saw that she was reading the documents carefully.

"What do you think?"  He asked her softly.

"Um...this company has a problem. They are involved in many illegal tradings. Also, this proposal has some problems. Don't accept it. It's risky." She said as she was staring at the laptop and tapped a button to turn the next page.

Sheng Ruming looked at her as she explained seriously. Even if he knew she was telling the truth, he decided to ask her. "And...how do you know that?"

Luo Lixi stopped her hand on the keyboard. It was a natural instinct of her to do this in the past. She forgot that she wasn't in the 'Luo Corporation' anymore. She didn't need to do anything like that again.  She stopped looking through the documents and sighed heavily. 

After that, she looked him in the eye and said silently, "This company had approached us one year ago. On the outside, it looked clean. But if someone doesn't investigate it carefully, they won't know the truth. It is involved in many dangerous cases. But some bigshot is behind it. That's why it can still continue. It is not my place to say it but...I think It is best to not collaborate with this company to avoid future complications." She explained it calmly to him.
