After which, his mother began to cry which Sheng Ruming couldn't take and went out of the villa to go to the outskirts of the city in his car. He didn't even allow his bodyguards to follow him. He needed some fresh air and alone time to clear his chaotic thoughts.

A river flowed by the Ming city. The scenery of that place was beautiful. He went there to relax. 

After reaching the spot, he remained seated in his car, a small sigh escaped from his mouth. 

After spending some time, he stepped down from it, closed the door and he leaned against it.

The surroundings were desolate. The sound of the water current was unearthly. It gave people some ghostly thoughts. But he seemed to not mind it and began to walk slowly.

The surroundings were so calm and quiet that one could even hear their footsteps. It was so unlike the bustling city. He was thinking about various things in his messy mind.

He was walking aimlessly along the riverside, tugging his hands inside his pants pockets. Suddenly Sheng Ruming felt very uneasy and unconsciously glanced in the water.

That's when he spotted a human was floating in the water. He was quite shocked. It was his first time to encounter something like this incident.

Also, the place was deserted. He was having a bad feeling but calmed himself slowly. He didn't give it much thought and jumped to save the person. That person was floating along the riverside so it didn't need much to afford to do so.

He saw it was a woman and brought her to the ground. She was deeply hurt, there were many cuts on her body. She was a total mess while her white dress was torn in many places. He took her hand to feel her pulse. She was alive but her skin felt very cold. And when he went to check her breathing he was shocked to see her face. 

She resembled someone he knew a long time ago. Even if there was a little doubt, after carefully checking her face he was sure. 

'Damn it, how could she end up in such a horrible situation?' he thought angrily. His hands began to shake but he forced himself to calm down.

He immediately took her in his arms and checked if she was breathing and to his horror, she wasn't. Water went to her lungs and blocked them. If he didn't do anything, it was guaranteed that she would die soon.

Sheng Ruming thought for a moment as he cupped her face. He took her lips on his and passed some air to her.

 After he broke free, he began to force pressure on her chest so that the water from her lungs could come out and she could breathe again. 

After repeating the process three times, she coughed violently. Water started to flow out of her mouth. She started to breathe but it was light. He felt relieved as he saw her breath but she didn't wake up.

Sheng Ruming immediately took off his coat, wrapped it around her cold body and took her in his arms. He hurriedly went to his car and placed her in the passenger seat. 

He took a towel from a side and tore it. He bound it around her right hand where there was a deep cut as blood was oozing out slowly from it. While starting the car engine, he turned on the GPS for the nearby hospital. Her current state was dreadful and he was afraid she couldn't hold on anymore.

He called Wang Haixiao and gave the address of that hospital to him to come because Sheng Ruming forgot to bring his wallet with him when he went out earlier. Also, he was good at managing serious matters. 

Wang Haixiao and Ji Yanli were working overtime for an important project in the office. 

When she heard about this matter, she insisted on tagging along and went there with him. They were on their way towards the hospital location.

After reaching the Ailin hospital, Sheng Ruming rushed there with her in his arms. He grabbed a random doctor to treat her. They thought she was a victim of an accident. But after checking her it was apparent that someone tried to kill her. 

The doctor wanted to call the police after seeing the patient's conditions but Sheng Ruming stopped him. He called Wang Haixiao to take care of this matter.

After being reassured by Sheng Ruming and knowing who he was, they didn't dare to delay any longer. They immediately took her to I.C.U. and began the treatment.

Unfortunately, her condition was very serious. The cuts in her body were very deep and the wounds had been infected due to having contact with water for a long time.

Even though Sheng Ruming had an idea who she could be, he didn't tell them about her identity. He had to investigate first about the whole situation.

After reaching the hospital Wang Haixiao and Ji Yanli took care of the necessary procedures. They waited for two hours but the news they got at the end was, 

"She is in coma..."

Sheng Ruming snapped back to the present. It was already time for him to go to the meeting. He stood up and called Wang Haixiao.

He stepped out of his office. Wang Haixiao was already standing outside. He was holding a bag in his hand.

"Let's go." Sheng Ruming said while starting to walk. He was at the front and Wang Haixiao was following him.

Afterwards, they went to the exclusive lift that was only for the CEO. But many other important personnel could use it too.

The office building was fifteen-storeyed. So it didn't take much time to reach the ground floor for them. After stepping out from it, they started to walk towards the exit. Sheng Ruming had a serious yet calm expression on his face. 

Along the way, many people greeted them. His six bodyguards approached him and followed suit. The driver drove his car in front of the company exit when he spotted Sheng Riming was coming. 

A bodyguard opened the car door for him. He sat in the passenger seat while the driver and Wang Haixiao went to the front seats. Then, the car drove away. His bodyguards also followed him in two black cars.

While the car was moving he was thinking something in his mind. 'Should I go to see her? Will she remember me?' he began to hesitate. He had gone to visit her many times in these two months but she was in deep sleep. 

He would sit beside her and hold her hands. In the past, he didn't think he would see her again. But now even if she doesn't like it or not he won't let her go from his life again. His greed began to grow at an incredible rate.

But eventually he decided to see her tomorrow and throw the unnecessary worries behind his head.
