Xiao Peilan is the best doctor in Ailin Hospital and among the top 100 in the country. For this reason people had to get an appointment before two months to meet him. He was also the director of this hospital.

When Sheng Ruming had brought someone to his hospital and the way he acted, he definitely knew it was someone important to him. So he took this case voluntarily to make some connections with him

Sheng Ruming was someone who didn't like to be in the spotlight when it wasn't necessary. That's why he loathed those women who made use of him to get on the news. The upper class and business world knew him and wanted to have some connections with him.

Xiao Peilan was seated on his leather chair and was studying the case of one of his patients in his chamber seriously when there was a light  knock on the door. It was nearly midnight and he forbade his assistant to disturb him now. He was displeased as he closed the file.

His assistant opened the door slightly and said in a low voice, "Dr. Xiao, Mr. Sheng has come to meet you."

Xiao Peilan's displeased face changed as he was overjoyed after hearing it. Even if he was the one who was in charge of that patient, Sheng Ruming warned him only to do her treatment and to mind his own business. That's why he didn't further investigate her. 

For a doctor who doesn't know his patient's identity, even if she or he was a commoner or a criminal, it was illegal to do a surgery without knowing the information about the patient. Though he knew nobody would know about this matter, he was a little afraid internally. If someone were to disclose it, his doctorate licence/degree could be revoked.

Also it was not his concern as long as he could achieve his motive. But in those months he had managed to meet him only two times and each time Sheng Ruming met him to know about her health condition and nothing else.

He wanted to discuss some matters with him regarding his hospital but failed each time to speak. He decided today he would do it no matter what. He stood up from his chair and  personally went to bring Sheng Ruming inside.

"Mr. Sheng ,It's very nice to meet you again. Please come inside." Xiao Peilan brought him inside and talked in a rather humble tone.

Sheng Ruming greeted him and followed him inside the room. He sat down on a random sofa. Xiao Peilan gestured to his assistant to make some tea for them.

"Mr. Sheng, it's very rare to see you. It's also very late. Do you have something important to discuss with  me?" Xiao Peilan asked him politely. 

Even if he was very eager to bring his matter before the young man,he didn't want to irritate him and lost the chance again. He would bring up the matter at the very last.

"Yes. I wanted to discuss her matter as usual."

Just as he thought, it was about her. Obviously it was not unexpected.

"Well, you can see due to our top class treatment methods and her determination, she has finally woken up from coma. Also she is recovering quickly and her condition is stable. There is nothing to fear. You can rest assured that she'll wake up in these few days."

Sheng Ruming became silent and as he was about to say something the assistant opened the door and came with tea with other refreshments. Xiao Peilan served him the tea carefully. He took the cup, took a sip and put it down.

Just as Peilan was gulping down his tea he heard, "I want to take her home." 

He began to cough violently. 'No, absolutely NOT!. If you take her away how can I achieve my goal?! Then won't my hard work be for nothing?' he thought in his mind. He wanted to make some excuses to prevent Sheng Ruming from doing this. 

Sheng Ruming immediately understood something was going on in the doctor's mind the moment he saw his expression. 

The first time this doctor wanted to take her case he knew he had a hidden agenda but didn't say anything.

  At that time his thought was if he could save her why not let him. Even if he had some motive he wouldn't dare to harm her if he wanted his life to be peaceful.

Xiao Peilan was embarrassed but adjusted himself in a few seconds. He took tissues from the table to wipe the spilled tea and  his mouth.

Sheng Ruming looked at him sharply and waited for him to finish those nonsense. After a moment, the doctor started speaking.

"Well you can but it'll be troublesome. Also there will surely be some complications in her body due to her injuries and coma. So it is better for her to get treatment here… for now."

He thought Sheng Ruming would say something but he remained silent and was staring at him. It was very awkward in the room.

At last Sheng Ruming opened his mouth and said, "Even if it is troublesome I want to take her away. It'll be good if you can arrange some reliable people to nurse her after I take her away. Also if you've something in mind, tell my bodyguards. If the request you have is valid, I'll surely try my best to fulfill it. Your contributions will not be ignored. "

Xiao Peilan's face lit up in delight when he heard this. People didn't know just how long he had waited to hear this. Back then his guess was correct that the person was very important to him. He had made the right choice then. 

Suddenly he thought maybe she was his lover or something but he denied it immediately. Well, there were some rumours about him in the circle so he can't be blamed for thinking like that.

"Mr.Sheng, it is our duty to help the patients. You're very polite." he replied to him while chuckling. 

"I will arrange everything and rest assured I'll put the best and most experienced  people to take care of her. Also, you can take her tomorrow."

"Ok." he stood up and handshaked with him. Xiao Peilan accompanied him to the outside  and bade him farewell. After Sheng Ruming went away, a smile bloomed on his face. When his assistant entered the room to take back the things, he saw this scene.

'God knows what is the reason for him to smile like this.' He cleared the low table beside the sofa set and took away the tea set and other things with him.
