Chapter 89: The Voice - Part 1
Chapter 89: The Voice - Part 1
"Umm, sir can I see the footage again?", a green haired man who seemed to be around 30-40 years old asked this.
"Sure, I'm sending you a CD of the footage...", said the principle.
"Yes sir..."
But soon all the students unknowingly spread the rumours and there was only one thing common in them - 'The Vampires Saved Humans'
The green haired man returned to his room where the footage was sent.
He carefully went through the footage.
"Hmm... it's a good thing that all the students were safe and nothing happened to anyone...", he was indeed happy from the bottom of his heart but at the same time something was troubling him.
"Why will the vampires go out of their way to help us humans? That doesn't make any sense!", his thinking was right.
At present, no one would carelessly help anyone else and put their lives at risk. Also they would do nothing even if they had power unless they gained something in return.
That was how th society if the current era worked where it was difficult to find someone who would do good will out of his own accord.
"Tsk, no matter how many times I see it's still then same. The Vampires appeared and started to save all... but how and where did they come from... nothing is known yet.", he was getting annoyed again and again.
It seemed as if he was close to something but wasn't able to figure it out.
He played the video again and carefully looked at it but couldn't find anything yet again. He did the same thing again but this time he played it in slow motion.
But even after doing that the result was just a failure.
"Sigh, lets pause it for now and grab some coffee.", he immeditely pauses it and goes to drink some coffee.
'SLURP SLURP'
He takes his own time to finish the coffee and then thinks about taking some rest because there was no use in seeing the footage again and againsibfe it wouldn't change no matter how many times you played it.
He walked towards it to close it when suddenly his gazes fell on the screen which shocked him.
"This...?", he zoomed in to see what that exactly was.
"Huh...? A black shadow? What's that?", it seemed as if there was something black that passed at tremendous speed into the gate and exited it too.
Immediately after the black thing left the gate, it closed on its own which meant that the gate was cleared completely.
"Holy shit, what was that thing?", he immeditely used a device which would help in playing the video 10x times slower.
"Hmm... till here is fine... and just after this...", he saw that the moment the vampire slashed a huge spider he turned back for a moment as if it was waiting for something.
The next moment something black rushed with full vigour which was seen in all the cameras placed. The same black shadow entered the gate.
"Wait, what was that thing exactly? It cleared the dungeon but... who or why would anyone do that?", for a second he thought that the shadow too might have been a vampire.
So he didn't pry much but the thought constantly lingered in his mind.
He went and played the video again and finally found a clue that indicated that it might have been a human that entered it.
"A white bracelet...?", it was indeed comepletlu dark because of the fast moments but when the video was played at 10x times slower the speed than its normal and then zoomed, a white coloured shinning bracelet was detected using advanced computer.
"Hmm... It seems that this man has the power to control vampires and maybe he was the one who sent them before hand...", that was the final conclusion he came with and immediately departed again towards the principal's Room in order to show this.
MEANWHILE...
'Zzzz Zzzz'
Jay was snoring quite loudly and it seemed as if he was in a deep sleep when suddenly the phone started ringing.
'RING RING''RING RING'
The volume was at full but still that wasn't enough to wake him up.
"Should I wake Master up? No... it's better not to. If he is still the same as he was last night then I'll definitely die...", the wolf pup who was quite bold and seemed friendly with Jay was shivering in fear.
It seemed as if it had seen something which it shouldn't have and that had instilled fear in his heart.
'RING RING'
The phone was still ringing but Jay showed no sign of waking up. Instead he kept snoring like a pig.
(Author's note: I don't know if pig actually snores and if it does is it lame? Tbh, just wrote it for fun.)
'Zzzz Zzzz'
Suddenly he started sweating a lot. For some reason he seemed to be in pain which was not external nor physical ones.
It felt as if his mind was being crushed and squeezed out like cheese.
"Aahhhh!!!!! Huff huff...", he woke up from his sleep while screaming loudly and then panting.
He was still sweating and it seemed like he literally had bathed in the same sweat.
"I... Where...? What?", he looked here and there and then realised within a minute that he was in his own room in the dorms.
But for some reason he still looked confused. His heart was beating faster and his chest was feeling tight.
"How did I come here...?", was what he asked after wiping his sweat a bit.
"Last night...", he started recalling what had happened and remembered that he was called by the voice and then told to run.
After that he was hit by the truck and then fell unconscious but what happened after that, he had no idea about it.
He even didn't have any injuries. Not even a simple scar was seen.
"How am I still alive?", the moment he asked this question he heard a voice.
"Haha, it's because you listened to what I said.", it was the same female's voice from the earlier which had told him to run across the road due to which he got hit by the truck.
"You fuck!!!", he screamed.
"Because of your useless help I was basically hit by a truck and was on death bed!!!!", he kept on shouting for a while and it was being heard by others from next rooms.
'KNOCK KNOCK'
"Huh? Who is it now?", Jay rushed towards the door and opened it.
"Can't you stop screaming? We are trying to sleep here!", a boy from the next Room game and shouted in Jay's face.
Jay nodded his head and immediately closed the door.
"Tsk, it's pointless I'm shouting on you! It was good that I somehow managed to survive...", he was still cussing and saying it to the voice.
The voice didn't say anything for a minute and after hearing everything from Jay's part, it said, "Pick up the call... you will understand soon..."
"Huh? What do you"
'RING RING RING RING'
The phone started to ring again. He immediately rushed towards the phone and saw the number which was none other than Serena's.
"Sera!!!?", he immeditely picked up after saying that.
"Hello big bro, it's me..."
"...", he didn't have any words to say. For some reason his eyes were filled with tears and it felt as if he would have cried any moment.
Both of them started to talk for a while only asking about each other's health. Then suddenly Sera narrated everything that had happened and again asked if he was alright.
Jay nodded his head and soon hung up the call and felt satisfied.
He was calm right now instead of being panicked and he patiently asked the voice, "Why did you tell me to do that? What exactly happened after I became unconscious?"
"..."
He couldn't hear any voice so he was about to ask again when suddenly he heard the narration which he had asked for just now.
"You were hit by the truck and lost a large amount of blood due to which the [Emergency System] was activated."
"Huh? Emergency system?", Jay was curious about it.
"Yes, it's a system that gets activated when the users life is at risk. It breaks all the limiters and focuses on saving the host life..."
"Oh, so that's why I didn't have any scars when I checked earlier... I was healed by the system?"
The voice said, "Yes, but the real part starts now. Originally after the host is healed the emergency system should have ceased to work but due to your will power it stayed for longer than intended..."
"Ehh? Will power?", he was basically unconscious so he didn't understand from where he got the will.
"Yes, but that was not your own will, it was from AKALUMAN...", was what the voice said.
"Huh...? How do you know that name?", Jay was completely shocked when he heard that. It was because the dragon's never tell their name to anyone other than the beings on whom they place complete trust or proxies who can uphold their faith.
"...", the voice didn't respond to Jay's question.
Due to that Jay asked again, "Tell me, how do you know the black dragon's name!?"
