“I really didn’t mean it that way. I just wanted to see if you were spending the New Year alone. Who asked you to suddenly go overboard with me? That’s why I said something overboard too.”

Chi Xia thought to herself that she did not come to see him on New Year’s Eve to make him angry. Although it was a little unpleasant, she really wanted to care about him.

Su Chen raised his eyebrows. ” Did I do something overboard to you? You came to see me on New Year’s Eve. Aren’t you hinting at me to do something to you?”

“I was just passing by and came to see you.” Chi Xia lowered her head.

“Passing by? So you sleepwalked here?”

Chi Xia looked up at him in confusion and heard his voice, “”Since you sleepwalked past my house, you can sleepwalk back. It seems unnecessary for me to send you back.”

Chi Xia was speechless.

“Why aren’t you getting out of the car?” Su Chen looked at Chi Xia and lifted her chin, his dark eyes emitting a mysterious light. ” Chi Xia, you better make it clear to me. I don’t like it when you’re being ambiguous with me. Tell me, are you in love with me? ” If so, I can give you a chance…”

Chi Xia was stunned. ” You really didn’t eat? Then go back. I’ll cook for you.”

“I said I didn’t!”

Su Chen snorted coldly and did not say anything else.

However, Chi Xia still felt uneasy and asked, “”Why don’t we go to a restaurant that’s open?”

Su Chen glanced at her. ” I’m not as pitiful as you think. I’m not at the point where I have to spend New Year’s Eve alone. ”

Chi Xia was stunned. Why did he lie to her that he hadn’t eaten?!

The car passed by a grand fireworks display. Many private cars stopped around to admire the fireworks.

Chi Xia raised her head and looked out the window. Her eyes widened in surprise as she saw the brilliance in the sky.

Su Chen stopped the car and looked at the woman beside him. Her big eyes were sparkling with fireworks, and her face was unbelievably beautiful under the light in the sky.
