The Devil's Sweetheart

It was still early in the morning, Leena freshens herself after her intense workout. Carrot and Reese were also up playing in the living room. There was still lots of time for her work, so Leena started writing an article in her blog that she hasn't updated for a longer time. She has started it as a hobby, but it turns out to be liked and inspired by many and she also continued with the flow.

After a while of finishing, all the trio were famished and went out to have breakfast at the nearby Greenwyn village cafe which they loved. The second Leena stamped her foot outside, she cursed her luck when she saw someone walking towards her direction. Bad omen! Bad Omen Leena!

"Did I wake up on the wrong side of the bed today to see a man being?" Leena whispered and was about to turn back, she heard the voice of a man.

"Excuse me. Do you know where exactly is North street?" He questioned with a smile.

"I know sir." She sweetly answered and even smiled at him. Reese squeezed her hand persuading her not to create any trouble again. But Leena brushed her handoff.

"That's great. Can you lead the way?" He asked trying to strike a conversation with two beautiful women.

"Sorry, sir. I can't today. You know what, my brother is suffering from loose motions. I have to take him to the hospital urgently. It is literally a pain in the ass. Maybe tomorrow?" She politely rejected and pulled Reese and Carrot from the place.

After entering the cafe, Reese and Leena burst out laughing, while carrot was looking at those two chimps with a snicker of laughter.

"Leena why are you so naughty? If your brother knows about it, he will hunt you down." Reese asked chuckling and ordering the food for the trio.

"I don't even give a monkey to him. Besides don't you think it is a known fact." Leena giggled at the mere thought of his crumpled face and nervous flier.

"It was just an address." She chuckled. "You scared that poor man."

"Reese darling, you are missing logic here. Is it that hard to find the famous North street with google maps?" Her eyes were glowing with mischief.

"What do you mean?" She frowned at her suspiciously.

"He is just trying to strike a conversation. I have been seeing him for a week." She scoffed.

"How did you_"

"How did I know?" She added to her. "I have eyes even on my back Reese Allen." She smiled and gazed at her side before stretching her leg in front of Reese.

"What?" She asked in confusion.

"You can touch my feet with your head and worship, now that no one is seeing. You must be proud of me, right?" She kept batting her eyes innocently while the latter stopped eating and gazed at her keenly.

"I have never seen a narcissistic person like you." She disdainfully uttered. Reese really pitied her future husband. She will be glad if he doesn't run away on their first-night itself. Does this high self woman at least let him kiss her?

"I am glad you feel in that way, Reese darling."

Forget it, Reese. This narcissist has her own rules and thinks the world revolves only around her. I need energy first.

After their breakfast, they made their way home.

"I will convince Leah, you are not attending the wedding," Reese indirectly asked to confirm if Leena wants to attend her wedding.

"I have already informed her and am going to Seattle." She acted like it was not a big deal, but inside it was breaking her heart. Although she was assuring herself nothing would happen, there was a part in her scared of him.

"No Leena, I can't take a risk. What if something happens like yesterday. What if he comes to know you are in Seattle? He will not leave you." She coaxed her to drop the idea.

"I cannot always run away from past Reese. I don't want to be act coward in front of that monster. Who knows the city may give some sweet memories this time." She smiled with positivity. Now she has to notify her Francy of this wedding. God knows if he at least allows me to step into that city ever.

"If it really going to bring joy on your face again, I would be always glad to the gods. But I want to be with you." She requested.

"No."She cut off sternly. "It's one whole week. Who will take care of my baby company and Carrot?" Leena pouted.

"Roger that madam. At least enjoy those long days. Don't forget to send me your pictures at their wedding." Reese reluctantly agreed with a smile while Leena nodded her head fervently. She had a gut feeling that something will protect her in safe heaven.

There was no buzzing of employees like usual since it was very early in the morning. The reception area was filled only with the cleaning staff right at the moment. The quiet atmosphere startled with the strong and heavy footsteps that marched forward followed by a tall silhouette, his custom suit embracing his athletic physique. He acknowledged every greeting staff with a smile. He was immensely respected by all the WD employees for his cool and calm demeanor, his rationality, the way he treats everyone with equal respect irrespective of their job status.

He walked into his private elevator pressing the last floor button and the moment it was about to close, a tall woman entered stopping it in half with her leg. Bothe looked disdainfully at each other and edged to the other ends of the corners. They did not even speak a word until a beep sound loudly echoed into the elevator.

Harley opened her mobile and nearly jumped in delight when she looked at the notification from her favorite blog Holy Banana Pants. OMG! My goddess has updated the blog finally. She glanced at the article and giggled at her goddess naughtiness.

"Tips to enlarge the size of your boobs naturally." She whispered and gazed at her bosom. She definitely needed these tips when a certain someone told, he could play ping pong there. Annoying bastard!

Devin gazed at the woman when she was whisper talking to herself. She immediately closed her mobile when he was about to peak at the content.

"That pervert blogger again?" Looking at the way she is drooling, it must be her. She must be writing all weird and perverted stuff that this monkey always tried to read in a hiding mode. No wonder this weirdo is following that sick blogger. I should keep my little kit away from these people.

"I never thought you were into girls." He added even before she could speak up. This is the reason he has not revealed the Korean model thing to Harley. For a mere blogger itself she is drooling, he shuddered at the thought of even showing his little kit. Now I have to swat away these pesky women also.

"Devin." She yelled. "I don't mind if you call me with any sick name but don't call my goddess a pervert."

"You both are Unbelievable." Devin shook his head, scanned, and keyed his password before entering the office. Harley scolded him and soon followed to give his schedule before the start of his work.

"There is an important meeting at the emerald branch tomorrow. The director has requested your presence." She pressed.

"Don't arrange the private jet. I am going by normal flight." He said and went back to his working mode.

"But you are_"

"I am bored by traveling alone." Devin cut through her thoughts.

"Also book a return flight for the same day. I will hardly spare two or three hours there." Devin added. He has not received any news from his darling even after she was contacted again. He has to change his plan now. It's been three days and he is badly missing her.. Tomorrow, I will directly visit her office after I am back.
