Chapter 529: 529 Incarnation of the Dark Titan

Chapter 529: Chapter 529 Incarnation of the Dark Titan

“`

A void that could not be described in words, a vast expanse measured in billions of kilometers, contained no matter or energy, only emptiness.

If a mighty being were to find themselves in this indescribable void, they would discover that not only did it lack any matter or energy, but it also lacked the most fundamental rules that underlie a world. Should a True God dependent on this world arrive, they would instantly lose all their Divine Power.

Mages would lose their ability to cast spells, warriors would lose the Strength they took pride in. All who came here would lose their powers and be reduced to mortals, then gradually die in this endless void, with not even their bodies remaining.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

In the deepest part of this endless void, a mass of Light and a mass of Darkness entwined with each other, as if they were the yin and yang fish at the heart of the Taiji symbol.

At a certain moment, right when the Dark Titan, Duronel, was in the process of being endowed with power, a ripple spread out from the center where Light and Darkness met. Immediately afterward, two vast consciousnesses emerged simultaneously, and two voices, speaking in unison, merged into a single, somewhat eerie sound:

“A new Titan is born!”

“A fallen Dark Titan!”

Soon, the two consciousnesses spoke again:

“A new Titan is born!”

“They stem from the same origin, an incomplete Titan!”

“I sense an alien presence!”

“This will affect our victory!”

“……”

After a prolonged silence, two streaks of light, one white and one black, flew out from the entangled Light and Darkness and disappeared into the void.

“Boom!”

A palm vast as a continent descended from the sky and slammed into the twisting Black Hole, causing the massive Black Hole to shudder violently. In that instant, the distorted Void stopped moving because of the terrifying Strength of the Dark Titan and then collapsed, turning into a Void Storm that covered the entire planet and who knows how many thousands of miles around it.

“I am the World Devourer!”

Accompanied by a grand and majestic voice as though a new world was born at the beginning of the heavens and the Earth, the vast Void Storm parted, and out walked a Titan who bore a striking seven-parts resemblance to the Dark Titan, Duronel, yet with slight differences in appearance.

Although born of the same origin, Lin Xiao’s origin was mixed with the essence of the enigmatic being of life, giving his power a great distinction from Duronel’s.

Duronel did not know what power he had obtained; he only knew that his own power was to devour, able to consume all energy and matter of the world and transform them into the most primal energy.

Behind him loomed a colossal Black Hole, ceaselessly unleashing terrifying gravitational pull to devour and absorb the surrounding energy and matter, continuously transforming it into his Strength.

Hence, his moniker could be none other than—World Devourer.

The moment these two extremely terrifying beings appeared, the entire Ornell Planet completely collapsed. The shattered Earth and the chaotic energy were drawn toward and consumed by the Black Hole behind Lin Xiao’s head.

The Dark Titan, Duronel’s enormous pupils boiled with flames as he furiously accused him:

“Defiler who has stolen Duronel’s Strength, I will kill you, crush your Soul, and take back what is mine!”

Lin Xiao reached out with his right hand, and in his grasp appeared a super-giant sword, identical to the Titan Sword yet spanning tens of thousands of kilometers. This was Duronel’s Titan Sword, and when transformed into a Titan, the sword could grow as large as him.

Sharing the same origin, Lin Xiao could also fully wield the power of this Divine Artifact; otherwise, it would have been taken away as soon as Duronel achieved his status as the Dark Titan.

After becoming the Dark Titan, Duronel denied everything he had done before his fall. In his eyes, Lin Xiao was nothing more than a thief who had stolen his power, and he swore to kill him and reclaim his power.

Lin Xiao understood this very well, thus he did not bother to explain. Instead, he focused on experiencing the terrifying Strength contained within this Titan Body.

This was a power comparable to a True God… no, more accurately, far stronger than an ordinary True God, at least in this world.

This was the second time Lin Xiao had completely controlled such immense Strength. Although in the Nightmare World, his Incarnation powered by the Gaia Will had reached the Rank 1 of a True God, he had returned early and did not experience that mighty power.

As for the Strength currently in his True Body, it was also at the First Level of True God, but that was within the system of the Ancient gods; he had barely crossed that threshold, only possessing power terrifyingly comparable to a True God.

But his Divine Power was insufficient because the Divine Power of an Ancient god came from an Ancient God’s Divinity. Through the Ancient God’s Divinity, he could directly extract Strength from the underlying rules tied to the divinity. The longer the time, the stronger the accumulated Divine Power would become.

As for Lin Xiao, who had only just stepped over that boundary and begun to accumulate Divine Power, he was still in essence an empty shell. He could handle any Demigod or lower without issue, but it would be difficult against other True gods.

Fortunately, he also held the Ancient God’s Divinity of Balance which allowed him to draw Divine Power directly from the Main World’s fundamental rule of Balance.

The fundamental rules of the Gaia Main World were powerful enough to surpass the combined strength of ninety-nine foundational rules from the Origin of the Crystal Wall System inside his possession by N times. With it, he could truly be considered a full-fledged Ancient god, otherwise, relying on his incomplete Crystal Wall core, he would only be considered a half-complete Ancient god.

The tremendous power bestowed Lin Xiao with immense confidence, and he lifted his eyelids to look at the wrathful Du Longer:

“So what if you’re a Dark Titan!”

Clenching the Titan Sword tightly, he slashed down fiercely, and as he did so, the void energy within tens of thousands of kilometers around him was drawn into the Titan Sword, transforming into an even larger colossal sword that he brought down.

Meanwhile, Du Longer turned to grab at the corpse of the Ancient God Lifespan Devourer Zagulon, and a thick black mist and blood light converged. As he pulled a similarly gigantic blood-colored bone sword from it, the body of the Ancient God swiftly shrank and ultimately vanished, forming a colossal sword to clash heavily against Lin Xiao’s Titan Sword.

“Boom!”

The void trembled violently, infinite energy morphing into a terrifying tide that surged in all directions, scattering the remnants of Du Longer into oblivion.

From this point on, the planet where the Dark Titan Du Longer had been birthed was completely reduced to nothingness, never to reappear.

But at this moment, neither he nor Du Longer had the leisure to attend to these matters, as a craving from the Origin drove them to attack their enemy with madness, vowing to slay the other and take back the Origin, never stopping until death.

“Boom!”

A desolate planet was cleaved by a sword even more colossal than the planet itself, the endless magma within erupting into hundreds of kilometers high pillars of fiery lava reaching skyward, only to be instantly twisted and swept up by a terrifying force of attraction, along with the crumbling earth and void energy, sucked into the black hole.

Behind Lin Xiao’s head, a black hole was ceaselessly devouring the surrounding chaotic energy, converting it into pure energy that poured into his body, fueling his strength for the great battle.

More than ten minutes later, two terrifying figures left that expanse of void, leaving behind a chaos that took a long while to calm. The desolate planet, once quietly suspended in that area of the void with a diameter of thousands of kilometers, had disappeared without a trace.

Half a year later, in another stretch of the void who knows how many tens of thousands of miles away, a planet nearly as vast as Du Longer was ripped apart, its horrifying magma exploding into thousands of kilometers of the void only to be drawn by a terrifying force toward the other side, pouring into the mouth of a vast face as large as a small planet.

On the other side, Lin Xiao refused to be outdone. The gravitational pull of the black hole behind his head suddenly spiked, absorbing all the shattered planet fragments and magma.

In terms of devouring, Du Longer couldn’t hold a candle to him.

“Boom rumble!”

A void storm stretching billions of kilometers swept through the void; a huge void airship bearing the mark of the Star Domain Consortium was speeding through the storm, followed by a dozen smaller void looters in hot pursuit.

Inside the command room of the void airship, several Ethereals from the Star Domain Consortium were studying a star chart, one of them pointing at a certain point on the chart:

“I remember there’s a planet there, inhabited by a race called the Ground Breakers. We established an outpost there and have a good relationship with them. Let’s take refuge there first.”

“I remember it too. I even went there for a vacation over a decade ago. The customs and culture of that planet are still fresh in my mind. I even made a few good Ground Breaker friends, maybe…”

The giant ship crossed through the void storm, and suddenly, the scene in front of them cleared up, revealing a shattered planet. The void airship was hurtling into an asteroid belt made from countless planetary fragments.

“This???”

Everyone was shocked. The Ethereal who had spoken earlier compared the scene back and forth with the map, saying with an uncertain tone:

” according to the star chart, this should be the very planet where the Ground Breakers lived.”

What followed was a prolonged silence in the airship, so much so that they forgot to run, even as their pursuers caught up.

However, the void looters’ airships that arrived in this area of void were equally stunned by the sight of the scattered planetary fragments, forgetting their original purpose.

They quickly snapped out of it, though, as numerous void looter airships rapidly surrounded the Star Domain Consortium’s behemoth.

Just as they were preparing to attack, a deafening roar suddenly sounded from afar. The void itself failed to stifle the sound that made their souls tremble. All the Ethereals looked towards that part of the void to see, somewhere in the depths of the distant void, large swaths of void storms explode apart, revealing…

“Titan…”

The moment that being as vast as a planet appeared, it seized the minds of all the Ethereals present.

In the instant they witnessed its existence, the Soul Fire of half of the Ethereals extinguished, including those of both the Star Domain Consortium and the void looters.

Time passed before someone finally awoke, looking around at their silently deceased companions, with only one thought in the minds of all Ethereals…

Escape!

The battle raged on, and the deaths of hundreds of Ethereals barely caused a ripple. Lin Xiao didn’t even notice them; not just one, but several planets with intelligent life had been destroyed, let alone some stray Ethereals killed by the aftermath.

Just like two strong men fighting, who would notice if they stepped on a few ants in the process?

They simply wouldn’t see them, right!
