Chapter 27: [Heavy Downpour!]
Placing her body on the infirmary bed, I observed her for a few moments before calling out that white goblin. It wasn't much but I bought a couple of [Mental Resistance!], [Increased Will!], [Minor Health!] and [Fatigue Removal!] potions.
These cost me a little over 10,000 Points, but since I had plenty and I was going to make even more, it wasn't much for me. Though whether these potions will be helpful or not was something that I didn't really know about. I just did the bare minimum I thought I should.
Anyways, after using these potions on her, I moved outside the infirmary and closed the door, before making my way back to the outer hall. About 7 players were sitting there, talking with each other about their hunt, while the NPCs, sat on the other corner having their own discussions.
"Adrian!"
I saw Mark calling me from the group. He looked rather happy right now, while Alice was seemingly talking with one of the girls in the group.
Reaching them, I looked at the group of 5 girls, while they were using [Flame!] magic to heat themselves out of the cold. Four of them were from the cheerleaders group, while the 5th one was someone I hadn't seen before.
"Hello Adrian! I am Samantha!"
"Hi."
"Hello."
"I am Rina."
"…"
The girls were… mostly extroverts. Anyways, I waved at all of them before looking at Samantha.
"Adrian. You are from the cheerleaders group, right?" I introduced myself before asking a normal question, to which all of them nodded except the shy timid girl.
"We were discussing dungeons and monsters. I was telling them of what happened outside the school and the adventures we had," Mark seemed enthusiastic. Well, it's not everyday he got to talk to girls… especially to his crush, Samantha.
"Adrian. Can you tell us about what happened in the dungeon? Please~" Samantha made a cute smile, as she looked at me hopefully, while Mark was signaling me 'tell her! Tell her!'.
I could only smile before speaking," I can but it's mostly Mark who has done the most work. In the dungeon, I avoided almost all the monsters and saved the kid, so that's all that happened. Outside the dungeon, Alice was our close combat unit while Mark killed all the monsters before they could even reach us."
"Honestly. I was just strategizing the best possible way to survive. While it may sound grand, most of it was pure luck on my part. And of course, Mark and Alice were the main reason we even made it that far."
I just gave it out a small smile before a dry chuckle, while they paused and then nodded at me.
"But you did get to talk to the NPCs the most right?" One of the girls asked, while I gave out a small smile again,
"Just like I said. Pure Luck on my part."
They made an 'oh' expression before getting a little sad. Though they smiled and thanked me for telling them what I knew, before the topic drifted on something else entirely.
Looking at the downpour, it seemed like it wasn't going to stop anytime soon. I wondered if others were hiding as well. Hunting in this weather would be rather hard on the players… Perhaps this is also a form of a test in the tutorial?
I then stood up and walked towards the NPCs, hoping to find the information regarding the chief and where I could find the artifact. As long as I can get even a single hint, I think it will be worth it.
…
[North-East: Near Luke's Party!]
"Just where the f*ck are Tristan and Reyan when you really need them?" Luke shouted as he killed another one of the goblins. Even though he was strong enough to kill an F-grade with a single hit, doesn't mean he wasn't getting tired with all this hunting.
Ever since the heavy downpour started, the group of dozen ended up taking shelter in a nearby apartment complex. More precisely in the hall area where the space was open and they could fight in case of a sudden attack.
-Kreee!
"Heal on 3 o'clock!"
"What's 3 O'Clock?!!"
"Help me!!"
The goblins kept attacking the group from the entrance as they kept entering the hall in the batch of 5 or 6 at a time.
Good thing was that there was only one entrance and the number they had to face was minimized. Bad thing was that they were coming every 5-10 minutes, not giving any break to the group.
-Slash! Slash! Slash!
Ever since, Luke got a weapon, he was able to slice through the goblins with ease. Even the stronger looking Goblins weren't much of a problem as long as he was careful.
[Gift: One with the Weapon!

-Slash! Slash!
Slicing through the goblins, he saw his points increasing rapidly. Even though it made Luke happy, for now his mind was in a mess because he was the only one properly hunting the goblins.
Everyone else was useless. They were barely struggling through the whole fight, while barely even able to kill a single goblin. There were healers who were casting heal on the goblins, and archers who missed 9 out of 10 shots. The close combat was more of a hindrance than a help.
What's even worse was that people were trying to steal the kill from Luke, whenever he failed to kill a goblin in one shot. As the goblins increased in number, Luke could see the impending dangers that were going to come. He had to make a decision right now.
Either to continue fighting or escape from here into the downpour.
"Tristan. Reyan… just where the f*ck are you two?" Luke cursed under his breath as he looked at the next batch of goblins that were entering the hallway. It was probably going to be a rather long day today.
