Chapter 108 - A Couple
Chapter 108: A Couple
Lenna noticed Punta's attempts to check her cultivation, but she ignored it, as she knew his identity, and she didn't want to make an issue only on the second day of her arrival in the Kingdom by striking the king of the Kingdom.
"Six hours!" She said again as she didn't get any response from Aakesh the first time.
"You need to wait six hours. All the portals are already in use," Aakesh responded.
Lenna nodded and left the store. She would come back after six hours since there was no point in sitting here doing nothing.
"Who was she?" Punta asked Aakesh after Lenna left the store.
Aakesh only glanced at him in response and didn't answer his question. Punta got his answer, and he turned around to leave the store.
He is the king of the Kingdom, and he doesn't have all day to spend in the store. He decided to come to the store some other day when he had gotten enough time on his hands.
After Punta left, Aakesh closed his eyes on the chair and waited for new customers while the guards sat down in their meditative position to meditate.
Time flew by, and three hours passed. The group of Pento had only spawned once during these three hours as they had nine warriors to fight the wolves. After three hours passed, the system forced the group of guards out of Panagea as their stay was over. The other group of guards then ate one mental healing pill and entered the portal.
While Aakesh was relaxing on his chair, he heard the sound of footsteps. He looked at the door and saw two people, one male, and another female, standing at the door.
"Woah, you couldn't see anything going behind the door," The man exclaimed as he tried to look inside the store, but he couldn't see anything. He then took a step forward, and everything inside the store became clear to him.
He could see a blue-skinned man sitting on his chair looking at him and the girl with him, while a group of five guards was sitting in meditation not far from the chair.
"Woah, look how clean the store is," The girl exclaimed in happiness, seeing the cleanliness in the store. She couldn't even find a hint of dirt on the floor or the counter or the chair.
"Don't look for cleanliness here," The man commented, hearing his girlfriend.
The girl ignored him and rushed to the Aakesh. Aakesh could swear that he saw her eyes in heart shape while looking at him and the store.
"How do you clean the store?" She asked as she tried to grab his hands, but the next moment a force arrived out of nowhere and pushed her back to where the man was standing.
The girl didn't mind it and instead introduced herself, "Hello, I am Evelyn, and this is my boyfriend, George. We are from the Pocoso Empire. We're currently traveling the entire continent."
Her boyfriend, George, facepalmed himself after he heard her telling all the major details about them to a stranger. She had been like this from the start. She had an addiction with cleaning, and whenever she saw someone being clean, she would make them her friend whether they wanted it or not and tell everything about them to that stranger.
Aakesh nodded in response to her introduction and told the couple his name.
"How do you keep the store so clean?" Evelyn asked with unnecessary excitement.
"I just wave my hands," Aakesh honestly responded, but Evelyn took it as a joke and started laughing.
"Forgive my girlfriend. She has been like this from the start," George pressed his palms together in front of his chest and sincerely apologized for his girlfriend's unnecessary behavior.
Aakesh didn't mind the excessive excitement, so he only nodded in response to George's apology.
"What do you sell here?" Evelyn asked as she had already decided to buy everything irrespective of the cost.
Aakesh explained about the pills and Panagea in response to Evelyn.
"Oh, a new world," Curiosity appeared on George's face after hearing about Panagea.
He had no interest in pills, as he had no use for them. He and Evelyn both were Immortals, so no pills below Immortal grade worked on them.
He felt interested in Panagea because despite being an Immortal, he had never heard of a world where there were unlimited revivals. He had heard of illusions that could help in improving without the fear of dyings, but a world that would give rewards as a result of completing quests was a first for him.
He then used his divine sense on the store to see the mystery of the store, but the next moment a shocked look appeared on his face as he found only darkness as if there was nothing, no matter how much he used his divine sense.
The moment George used his divine sense, an alert appeared inside Aakesh's head.
[Host, beware the man is an Immortal and trying to sense the details of the store using his divine sense.]
A look of surprise appeared on Aakesh's face for a moment after he heard the announcement, but the next moment he masked the expression, but how could he hide the change from the eyes of the Immortal.
"Oh, you're interesting," Evelyn commented, seeing the change of expressions on Aakesh, her previous excitement nowhere present on her face. The air around both her and George changed. No hints of their previous foolishness could be seen.
"You've got an interesting store," George also commented as he didn't find anything in the store except darkness.
"Yeah, you can say that," Aakesh expressionlessly responded. He wasn't afraid of the couple despite them being Immortal as he had the help of the system. Instead, a thought of comparing himself with an Immortal emerged in his head after learning their level.
"Look, he isn't afraid of us," Evelyn told George.
"You think anyone would be afraid of you after your actions only a few moments before," George scoffed. He then looked at Aakesh and asked with curiosity evident in his tone, "How did you find our cultivation level?"
George tried to see the cultivation of Aakesh, and he found his level only at Void Forging due to Aakesh's skill.. So he became curious how could a Void Forging cultivator see the cultivation of an Immortal like him.
