Chapter 118 - A Day In The Store
Chapter 118: A Day in the Store
Only a few moments after Punta entered the portal, Aakesh heard the sound of footsteps. He looked at the door to see Maria entering the store with a red face. She had worn the same tighter clothes as yesterday.
Since Maria had the top card, she didn't need to pay for Panagea first, so she directly entered the portal room as she was too embarrassed to talk to Aakesh. When she reached the room, she found all the portals had turned grey, so she, with a disappointing expression, returned back to the store.
"Senior, when would the portals be empty?" Maria asked as she only knew fourteen people who entered the portal in the morning.
"You can come back in six hours," Aakesh expressionlessly responded.
Maria nodded in understanding and hurryingly left the store, as talking to Aakesh while wearing these tight clothes was too embarrassing for her. It wouldn't be embarrassing for her if Aakesh looked at her like a man looks at a woman, but in Aakesh's eyes, she only saw the indifference, so she hurryingly left the store with a red face.
Aakesh then forgot her and thought of the quest screen. The next moment, a blue screen containing the information of the mission appeared in front of him.
[Mission Objective: Organize a competition for the citizens of the Bisan Kingdom and other people,
Requirement: Since you've suggested that the store should organize a competition to promote the store, it's now your duty to organize it with the maximum possible zeal and fervor so that everyone irrespective of their level can enjoy it,
Minimum numbers of attendees: 2000,
Event time: Three days,
Mission reward: A new product, addition in varieties in pills, and thirty-five new virtual portals,
Failure punishment: Commission reduced by 100% for a year.]
"Only four days left," Aakesh whispered, as only four days were left until the event day.
He already had some events in his mind that he wanted to organize with the help of the virtual portals, so he didn't worry about when the time would come.
The only thing he had concerns about were the rewards he had to give to the winners of the events.
He was only thinking about the rewards when suddenly the entire group of Pento spawned in the store.
"We did it," Pento cheered while he jumped in excitement. Bislo also followed him in jumping without caring for his age.
Aakesh ignored their excitement as they had only completed the first quest, and none of them would get a bonus reward. It was good fortune for them since the system didn't decrease the award of the mission on the basis of the performance.
After jumping in excitement for a while, Bisal came to Aakesh. He then respectfully asked, "Senior, you told us that day that we could become alchemists in Panagea."
"Yes," Aakesh expressionlessly asked.
"Senior, I wanted to know, how should I get that knowledge?" Bisal respectfully asked.
Suddenly an Idea emerged in Aakesh's head as he said, "You'll get your answer four days later. Until then, do other quests and grow your level in Panagea."
A disappointed and excited expression appeared on Bisal's face at the same time. He was disappointed as he still had to wait for four days for learning alchemy and was excited because he only had to wait for four days to learn about alchemy in the Panagea.
"Thank you, senior," Bisal thanked Aakesh.
Aakesh only nodded in response to his thanks. The group then returned to Panagea while Bisal explained the conversation to Pento.
Time flew by, and the remaining time in Panagea for both the groups passed. The system then forced them out of the world. Both the groups then left the store after thanking Aakesh.
A few minutes had passed when George and Evelyn teleported directly into the store with the help of the supreme card.
"How are you, Aakesh?" Evelyn smilingly asked.
Aakesh only nodded in response to her question.
"We'll talk later. Let's go," George chimed in and told Evelyn to hurry up as George was in the midst of his third quest to increase his level.
After the first quest, everyone would have to increase their level on their own, so Evelyn and George were doing their own quests.
Evelyn had already completed her third quest and was currently a Level 4 power leveler since one of her quests gave her an increase of two levels, while George was in the midst of his third quest and was currently a Level 2 power leveler.
"Okay, let's go," Evelyn responded and went with George to the portal room.
Aakesh then closed his eyes and waited for new customers to come. Only several minutes had passed when George spawned in the store.
The next moment, a blue window appeared in front of him, containing the reward he had won for completing his third quest.
It was a talisman that would increase the movement speed by three times after its activation. But since George was an Immortal in the actual world, it would only double his pace instead of three times. He then paid one superior Primal stone, and it appeared in his hands. He then put it in his pocket space and returned to the portal room.
Time flew by, and one hour passed. The six hours for Punta was also over, so the system forced him out. He had a frustrating expression when he spawned in the store.
He acted, unlike the other adventurers. When the blue window containing the quest appeared in front of him, he ignored it, as he had no interest in power after the matter with his brother got solved. Punta was only in the Kingdom until he found an heir. After he found a suitable heir, he would leave the Kingdom and travel the continent.
"Can't you extend my time?" Punta asked as he was in the midst of a conversation with a local of the town.
"No!" Aakesh flatly refused.
"Can't you give the king some special benefits?" Punta asked.
"Even if you're an Emperor, you still won't get a special treatment," Aakesh expressionlessly answered.
Punta stopped arguing with Aakesh as there was no point in continuing it. His eyes then fell on the square box next to Aakesh.. He had seen it in the morning too, but he ignored it as he wanted to see Panagea first.
