Chapter 1542: Ancient Glorious City(13)

"I don't like eating."

The woman frowned with a hint of anger in her eyes, but seeing that Aakesh didn't mean to disrespect her, she stopped caring about that.

"Why are you that strong despite such a low cultivation level?" The woman asked as she took a large bite of meat from the plate.

"My bloodline," Aakesh honestly answered.

The woman froze when she heard him. She then immediately wiped her mouth and looked at Aakesh with a grin.

"How about you give me a son?' The woman asked.

Aakesh became dumbfounded by the second question, but seeing that it wasn't a joke, he shook his head. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"What a disappointment!" The woman sighed disappointedly and then returned to her food.

"What is the outside world like?" The woman asked after finishing the food on the table.

Aakesh didn't hide anything from the woman and informed her of the extinction of her native race in the Sacred Dimension.

The woman had a shocked expression on her face since, in that closed world, the Neuislys were the overlord, and other races were their subordinates.

"Are there many strong people like you in your race?" The woman asked since she thought Aakesh came from the strongest if not one of the strongest, races in the Sacred Dimension.

"I am the sole member of my race." Aakesh could understand the misunderstanding of the woman, but since he was too lazy to keep that lie, he honestly told her.

A piteous expression spread across the woman's face, and she said, "Do you want my help to look for your tribe in this city?"

The woman thought Aakesh's race was also on the verge of extinction, and the city might hold that race like it had Neuislys.

Aakesh shook his head but appreciated the woman for her kindness. The world inside the building was the residence of the Neuislys and many other races, but when they left the building, they were no longer residents. So if the woman helped Aakesh search for other members of his race, she would become a pariah for the Neuislys and wouldn't have a residence to call her own.

"You haven't told me your name yet," Aakesh commented. He appreciated the woman for her sentiment and found it worthy enough to ask for her name.

"I haven't?"

The woman looked surprised since she believed that she had already told Aakesh her name, and Aakesh was arrogant when he didn't refer to her by her name.

"I am Halie."

***

After Halie finished her food, she and Aakesh left the restaurant and wandered around the city. From her, he learned about the structure of the world.

It was a large empire controlled by Neuislys, and there were a few other races that lived inside the Emperor's territory. Halie was a famous general since she had always come on top against other opponents at the same level, and there were even rumors of the Emperor wanting to make Halie his daughter-in-law.

"I would say yes if it were you on the other side, but how dare that pig even dream of marrying me," Halie scoffed, remembering the prince the Emperor had chosen for her.

Aakesh and Halie reached the place where the two had met, the entry point. But when Aakesh reached there, he found the entry point had disappeared, and there was a group of people standing there with frowns on their faces.

One of the men in the group noticed Halie and Aakesh, so he immediately called the two of them.

Aakesh and Halie both ignored that call and looked around. Aakesh was thinking about why the entry point had disappeared. From what he heard from Halie, it was always there and was guarded by the best of the Empire.

Strangers would enter from time to time, and since the experience had rarely been good, the Neuislys showed hostility against any intruder.

"Halie!"

The man angrily called out once again to get ignored once again. The sudden anger from the man forced others to look at Halie and then at Aakesh.

The news of Aakesh had already spread across the Empire due to his feat at an arm wrestling match with Halie. The leader of the group called out Halie.

Halie no longer dared to ignore since the man was a Higher God, and immediately rushed to him. She immediately bowed and then greeted the others in the group with a casual face.

Halie's arrogance was known to others, so they didn't care except for the man who got ignored twice. He gnashed his teeth in anger, but stayed silent after being glared at by the leader.

"Where were you?" The leader calmly asked.

Halie was responsible for guarding the entry point, so anything that happened there was also her responsibility.

"I was showing him around the city," Halie didn't lie and told the truth, pointing at Aakesh.

The man took a second glance at Aakesh and wanted to call him, but before he could, Halie called him.

"Aakesh, let me help you know these people."

Aakesh nodded and walked to her. She then greeted all of them to him. None of them had good expressions when treated so blankly by a Divine Lord cultivator.

"Sir, terrible news!"

Suddenly, a man rushed to the group and yelled.

"Calm down and then tell us," The leader responded.

The man didn't even dare to take a breath and announced the news to the people there. There was shock written all over the faces of the people when they heard the news.

The Emperor had suddenly died. Since no crown prince was even announced, a battle had started between the brothers and sisters for the throne.

The leader immediately floated up and rushed toward the palace, followed by others in the group.

"Stay here. I will meet you in an hour," Halie told Aakesh, and then she also flew toward the royal palace.

When she reached there, she saw a scene of gore as blood and body parts were spread across the area. It seemed like hell had materialized there.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Several fights were going on inside the area, so she rushed to the closest one.

Once she reached there, her face turned pale, and following that, a wave of anger rushed through her body.
