Chapter 112: RPG-like Leveling Training In Monster's Abode (14)
Chapter 112: RPG-like Leveling Training In Monster's Abode (14)
Alex's PoV:
I observed the forest spirit that I had trapped using my soul net and thought of ways to deal with it.
*Host, why not keep it as your spiritual pet? Even though that forest spirit is already a contracted beast, the system would still be able to rewrite the contract and make the host the master of the forest spirit instead.*
The system, is it worth it to rewrite a slave contract just for a forest spirit?
The one who wrote a contract with the forest spirit should be someone powerful.
Is it worth it to offend a somewhat powerful being just to obtain the forest spirit? Why not kill it instead?
*Is the host's intelligence regressed just because the host died and obtained a new body? Was the host's brain got replaced?*
Oh! Shaddap!
The system, mind if you explain why that forest spirit was worth being contracted than earning experience points from it?
*The forest spirit is currently on the verge of developing mid-level intelligence and might materialize a corporeal body.*
So the system wants me to nurture the forest spirit and wait for it to become a powerful servant?
*Technically, yes but at the same time, no.*
Why so?
*The host had triggered a hidden mission so the system wants the host to complete it.*
Why didn't I heard a notification about the hidden mission?
*Host, what's the point of adding the word known as 'hidden' if the system had told you about it before?*
Can't argue about that.
*Since the host had completed half of the mission, then the host would be able to see the completion requirements for that hidden task.*
The system, could you show me the hidden task's information?
*Affirmative.*
After a few seconds have passed, a translucent blue status screen appeared with text on it.

The rewards were not that bad. I might as well complete it since it would be a waste if don't.
I checked to see if the forest spirit was still alive and it seemed that it was unconscious.
It would be infuriating if the forest spirit had died because of my soul net.
The system, how am I able to rewrite the contract of the forest spirit between its master?
*The host would need to create a paper or scroll made out of mana including a pen. The host would use the pen to write the conditions the host wants on the contract paper. Afterward, the host and the forest spirit would sign their name on the paper.*
What would happen after that? I thought that I would need to deal with the contract of its current master?
*The host would encounter another contract paper appearing out of thin air after the host and the forest spirit had signed their names on the contract paper. The host would need to tear apart the previous contract paper using the system's help.*
Fine by me. So when should I start?
*Anytime. There isn't any time limit in the hidden mission but the host must keep the forest spirit alive until the host had signed a contract with the forest spirit.
So the system meant that I would be able to kill the forest spirit after I had signed a contract with it.
Won't I be punished by the system for killing the forest spirit since it was included in the hidden mission?
*No. Moreover, the system mission only specified that the host needed to subdue and write a contract with the forest spirit. Therefore, the host would be able to do anything that the host wanted after the completion of the system's hidden mission.*
I checked to see if Ferros, Distere, Catherine, and Grace were at their peak condition before I commenced in signing a contract with the forest spirit.
After I had checked and known that the four of them were fine, I focused my attention on the forest spirit.
I watched and observed the forest spirit that was trapped inside the soul net and it seemed that it doesn't have any thoughts in escaping the soul net that I had used to trapped it inside with.
I directed my mana towards both of my hands and materialized an object with a rectangular shape and flat surface using my mana.
I added minor details towards the rectangular object using my mana to make it more realistic.
The rectangular shape object was now a paper that I had materialized using my mana.
My mana materializing skill was only able to imitate an object and substitute the components of the object but not create it that it would be established in reality, unlike Grace's creative skill.
My mana materializing skill was only able to imitate the outer appearance while Grace's creation skill both have the original outer appearance and the essence and soul of the creation.
After I materialized the contract paper, I used my mana to materialize another object but with a feather shape and a pointy tip at the end.
I had finally created both the contract paper and the feather pen that would be used for writing the contents of the contract and signing the contract.
I wrote some conditions on the contract paper using the feather pen such as "Party A (The Master) and Party B (The Servant) must help each other in times of need and Party A has the right to abandon Party B if Party A's life is at risk."
It's a good thing that I had read many contracts in the past due to some corrupt officials forcing me to sign a contract that I would help them in times of need and wouldn't betray them which is just utter nonsense.
Of course, the ones who had done that had not lived to tell the tale except for me, the cause of their death.
I was a benevolent person in my past and I had done great deeds such as helping the poor people who need financial problems but of course, not for free.
I mostly had commanded the person that I had helped in their times of needs to do work that is legal such as community cleaning or garbage collecting.
But, there was also sometimes that I had donated money without asking them to do a job for me, such as the time when I donated to an orphanage for charity.
After I had finished writing all of the conditions that I wanted the other party to fulfill, I added two lines at the bottom of the contract which was where the two parties would sign their name at.
I retrieved the soul net that bounded the forest spirit.
The forest spirit didn't attack me after I had released it and instead, looked at the contract that I was currently holding.
The forest spirit seemed to be curious about what the contract's content was so I handed it to it and let it read the contents.
The forest spirit received the contract and read the contents.
After that, the forest spirit placed its index finger on the contract, applied mana into its finger, and did some stroke as if he was writing calligraphy or something like that.
The contract paper suddenly shone with bright blue light and it suddenly disappeared.
*Ding!*
*Congratulations to the host for completing the hidden mission! The host have now received 1 random legendary skill from the system lucky draw and the ownership of the forest spirit!*
So the forest spirit willingly signed the contract or thought that it was for the best that it didn't offend me so it had no choice but to sign the contract?
Either way, at least I had finished the hidden mission in just several minutes after I had received it.
*Will the host use the legendary skill draw? Yes or No?*
I might as well use it so that I would be able to know what skill I would acquire from it and I would be able to use it in my future missions.
So my answer is yes.
*Ding!*
*The host has used the legendary skill draw! The system will now summon the skill gachapon... The skill gachapon has been successfully summoned!*
Wait, there's a success thingy in summoning the skill gachapon? What if it failed?
Never mind, might as well think about that in the later future.
A few seconds after the system had announced the success of the skill gachapon summoning, a gachapon machine appeared in front of me but was invisible in the eyes of my teammates which was convenient in many ways.
A ball rolled out from the gachapon machine and it fell on the ground.
I picked it up and opened it to check its contents.
*Ding!*
*The host has acquired the legendary rank [Tongue Master] skill!*
*The system will now show the skill description... The skill description has been shown*
