Nefaris met my gaze with a flat stare, her eyes shimmering with a mix of playfulness and mild exasperation. "You don't believe me, do you?" she questioned, her voice holding a hint of challenge.

I leaned back slightly, a grin spreading across my face. "Well, considering the mischievous glint in your eyes and the way you seem to relish these secret encounters, I can't help but wonder if there's more to it than mere boredom," I replied, my tone teasing.

"Besides, being honest once in a while isn't something bad, you know?" I remarked, my voice laced with a touch of amusement.
