The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 555 - 555 Not approving of Javier!

555 Not approving of Javier!

Arthur raised his head to find his father beaming with joy. His voice was filled with hoarseness but it failed to conceal his happiness. “Congratulations again, father.”

“This is good to know for now...” King Richard smiled and that didn’t hide his pleasure, “I’m sure her children will be as beautiful as her. When she was born, she was indeed just like her mother.”

Arthur didn’t smile. The talk of his mother was a thorn in his heart which he would never be able to overcome until his sister was in front of his eyes. “Have you approved of Johnson’s family?”

“I don’t think they are in love with each other. If that was the case, why would he let her go to the other land? Probably because now Ava is pregnant that they have to compromise.” Arthur wasn’t convinced that his sister would be with someone like Javier.

That man is beyond crazier. They didn’t know how many crimes he had committed. Such a cold and ruthless person was definitely not suited to be their family’s part, especially his youngest and beloved sister’s husband.

King Richard didn’t say anything to please Arthur’s disinterest. He showed no resentment either.

All his eyes did too many times and considered them straight in his mind. While the wrinkles near his eyes moved, he still kept himself shut.

But the silence wasn’t suited well with how Richard reacted, “Father, are you-”

“We will contact her when the time’s right, son. I don’t think we need to interfere in her life right now when she has just conceived her twins. Let her rest and enjoy her life before we disclose ourselves.”

.....

Arthur wasn’t satisfied. His brows furrowed in annoyance, “We are missing our time. Why do we need to wait for more time? She must be curious about her background too. Wh-”

This time King Richard turned around to face his son with a strict expression, which could kill a bird with a single stare, “Because the time isn’t right. When the right time comes, we will not only have her with us but her love for us as well. However, just because of our selfish reasons we can’t break her. Our wait will be worth it, believe me, my son.”

Seven Months after

Jennifer viewed herself in the mirror to find her curvy body getting bigger than usual. Her eyes shone but a smile formed on her face. She couldn’t help but feel her heart flying with butterflies.

Slowly and slowly, she caressed her baby bump as glitters flew in her heart, “Both of you are so well behaved till now! Be good when you both grow more, okay? Don’t let your mother be pushed into bad labor, alright?”

As she kept on talking with her unborn children, Jennifer heard a knock on her door. Turning around, she saw two maids standing there with their heads bowed, “Madam, breakfast is ready. Lady Sierra is waiting for you at the dining table.”

Jennifer nodded her head when she finally lowered her t-shirt and walked out of the room, letting the other two maids make her bed and clean the room. Jenifer took baby steps in the fear of falling but fortunately, Javier had transferred their bedroom temporarily to the ground floor itself.

Soft happiness appeared in her eyes when she approached the dining table and found the two ladies already waiting for her, “Am I that late?”

Sierra smiled at her and brought the basket of the bun, “Not at all, Jennifer. Amaira came just now and the children already left.” Jennifer took the seat on the chair that the butler pulled for her and Amaira helped her with the same, “Second Sister-in-law, are you once again feeling discomfort?”

“How can I feel when these babies are so obedient?” Jenifer proudly boasted but Amaira’s confusion deepened, “Then why are you and brother not going to find out the genders?”

“Amaira, sometimes, waiting to find the gender at birth brings more happiness,” Sierra explained patiently and somewhat happy in her tone. Jenifer agreed with her words and took a bite of her food, “Moreover, Javier is as patient as anyone. He is so cautious that the ultrasound will harm the babies so we are better off knowing the gender.”

Amaira couldn’t help but roll her eyes. How was it possible for her to ignore her brother’s protective as well as typical half-father nature? Most of the time, she is also treated less than a sister but more likely as a baby of theirs!

Sierra only chuckled while looking at Amaira’s expressions. Then she moved her eyes at Jennifer, “It’s fine. When the babies are out, you will miss this phase. But perhaps not, because you will be so busy with their stuff and work that will make you forget how to live a normal life.”

Jennifer pouted her lips, “I wish no. I believe these little ones are being so good, they will not trouble momma!”

“Wait until they are out!” Sierra told her confidently and laughed. She served Jennifer with more food suited for a pregnant lady in her seventh month. Jennifer happily accepted everything as her appetite had rapidly risen. Due to carrying twins at the same time, she gained weight and turned more fluffy than an average pregnant lady.

But Sierra and Amaira were a great help. Jennifer and Javier moved to the main mansion after the storm settled. Everything had been going too smoothly....sometimes it shatters her heart to think whether this is the calm before any big danger?

Shooking her head, Jennifer melted and pushed such dark thoughts in the depth of her mind. ‘The birth of these two munchkins will bring happiness only...’ brushing her thought with those of her belief, Jennifer continued to satisfy her tummy including the two lives.

However, none of them knew that very soon, things would change and they would be pushed to their ends... to survive in this cruel world.
