The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 457 - Persistent For Marriage!

Next morning

Jennifer woke up a bit later than she had expected. Coming back home after last night's scene was a bit difficult.

Moreover, since Lucas was dropped dead asleep, Jennifer had mostly stayed back at the deck while sipping out of her wine and looking at the rest of the view.

Wearing her night suit, Jennifer removed the blanket to open the door of her room and climb down the stairs.

Her hair was tied into a small bun with the help of a rubber band. With her loose t-shirt as well as loose Pajamas, Jennifer walked down the stairs to make her way to their small dining room.

There, she saw her mother was currently doing the work for the breakfast, whereas, her father was currently sitting on the nearby couch table while going through the files and the papers.

"Good Morning everyone." she greeted with a smile, on her face to which they all averted their attention.

"Good morning, Jennifer. How was your night?" It was Amelia who asked, with equal enthusiasm.

In fact, what Jennfier found was that their happiness was reaching its peak.

Instead of answering them straight away, Jennifer walked closer to the countertop. There, she poured the water for herself and drank it. In between, she kept her head low when she muttered, "It was fine... as usual."

"I heard that you came back very late last night. I believe that you and Lucas spent a lot of quality time together. Isn't it so?" Instead of answering, Jennifer kept mum.

She was least interested in giving voice to her thoughts. Their happiness was itself very high, enough for her to understand that they will probably have countless wild imaginations in their mind about the meeting.

But that never hindered the thinking process of her mother, who had countless things made up for her under her sleeves. "Hm..I can now see that since you both are bonding so much, why don't you go and marry him as well?"

"MOM!"

"What did I say wrong in this?" Amelia tired around while she was wearing an apron. "That's the best way to actually give names to both of your relationships. Everyone is supposed to marry. Why don't we just bring it to the real self?"

"Because I don't wish to rush things." was the simple answer from jenifer's side.

Marriage never roamed in her mind.

That was the last resort, or probably, never ever she dreamt to marry someone like Lucas.

Since she was already married once, marriage wasn't on the cards ever. However, she can't voice her thoughts aloud, which would spill water all over her plans.

On the other hand, her father, who was currently reading the papers, couldn't help but lift his eyes. David looked straight in Jennifer's direction, who sat on the stool. He removed his glasses, to give her the sweetest smile possible. "I do agree with what your mother's saying."

"Giving the name of your both relationships Isn't bad either." David's words made Jenifer rotate her eyes.

She started her father with her half dislike expression, not ready to absorb that even her father wasn't supporting her in this.

In fact, he showed that he wasn't only interested, but probably, rushing things rather than her mother. 'Everyone is actually sending me away..why?' The answer was no.

A thick frown curved on her forehead, when she answered, "You both don't have to push if you are so upset by me staying here."

"If you both are so unwilling, I can go and stay somewhere else. But please, don't force things when..I had undergone so many circumstances due to him being your beloved future son-in-law!" Jennifer blurted straightly, even though she was kind of rude.

It never occurred to her, since they both are plastering to the heights. Not only that, they are making things difficult to the level, where she was left with another option in her hand.

However,? Jennifer was stern that she won't be blackmailed by their emotions so soon either.

Meanwhile, Amelia looked at Jennifer, with a furrowed gaze. She walked closer to her before Amelia held her arm.

Pulling her towards herself, Amelia finally asked. "Jennifer....tell me one thing. Honestly."

"Ask straightaway," Jennifer uttered.

"Did you both....simply attended the meeting or did something more happen last night?" even though Jennifer could feel that her mother had brought this conversation into the questionnaire manner, her heart was convinced that the news had reached upon her ears.

'How can Olivia keep her mouth shut?' Why wasn't she surprised too? Neither was she stunned.

But showing the same expression to her parents wasn't in her plans. "I don't like to discuss my sex life with any of you."

"You are still unmarried! This is our right to be concerned about!" Amelia slightly raised her voice, which in response made Jennifer a bit defensive too. "We aren't living in the old times. Lucas plays around with a thousand of the girls. Who knows how many he slept before our engagement."

"But why are you so concerned about me rather than him going and having fun around and round?" Jennifer's answer made Amelia shake her head.

"You are our child. A girl shouldn't get engaged with any other male before marriage. This is a harsh truth, and accept it! So, tell me honestly. Did you both..."

"Privacy!" was all Jennifer muttered, before she kept her glass of water on the table itself and stood on her toes.

Glancing at her mother for the very last time, she turned around to walk away from the dining room.

From the behind, Mrs. Taylor had shouted at her daughter but it was of no avail either.

Yet when Jenifer was ready to climb up the stairs, she came across Hannah coming down from there. "Oh! Hello! here is your phone, You forgot it upstairs."

"Alright. I'm going up.." Subconsciously, Jennifer took her phone. However, it was Hannah who had caught her sour mood. She held her shoulders firmly to make Jennifer look into her eyes straight. "What's the deal with you early in the morning?"

"Did you fight with someone?" Hannah can't help but ask. She caught the sight of Jennifer's frown, as well as the annoying face.

She looked straight into her eyes, with clear-cut expressions. "Don't lie to me. Tell me. What occurred there?"

Rolling eyes, a sigh escaped from Jennifer's lips. She hung her shoulders slightly before responding again, "Just like what happens. She is yelling like a crazy woman. Asking me if I had...God, I can't even imagine.."

"But why are you reacting so much? Isn't she like that? Don't give her much attention of yours simply because she is asking for your private information." Hannah's advice did make sense to hear out.

In fact, Jennifer's mind worked in various directions, to find that it was all true. What was she doing? Her mind blew up very soon, only to come back to the real facts.

For the next few minutes, she didn't move. But the same can't be said for Hannah, who literally caught her arms together, "Come with me. Don't bother with their owners."

Without even a single word, she was brought up to the breakfast table. Her mother, as expected, had a sullen expression.

She was furious, frustrated by how Jennifer reacted to her words.

Whereas, her father contained mixed emotions. Neither was he sad, or angry, but the tinge of unhappiness was present. He was resisting something within, but it had already appeared on his face too.

'Doesn't matter.' All the plan was bewitched to gain Olivia into her hands and trick Luca. She isn't answerable to her parents, and she won't do so.

Her mother serves her breakfast. She did the same with Hannah and David, after which, she sat there herself, before biting her meal.

Chewing sound was easily heard, to the extent which made Jennifer frustrated. She was furious, but not enough. "Mother, can you stop being so stubborn?"

"Simply asking you to marry Lucas! You have spent the night with him! Is this how you treat the reputation of your family?" Amelia's direct reply, so what made Jennifer literally rip herself.

"And...from where does the reputation of our family come from?" Jennifer couldn't help but enquire. "Am I not given to him by you guys? Why are you so much annoyed by the fact that I went ahead to attend a meeting with him?"

"We aren't annoyed, Jennifer. We are worried that you will be the reason for your defamation."

Hearing her father's words did only make Jennifer's urge stronger. 'And..you are interested in saving our reunion, not minding what will happen to me?'

And when did this concern go away when they are marrying her with the bloody monster and ganger Lucas?

All raised questions, but Jennifer had simply lowered her gaze to look at her food and chew it in the silence.

Yet, Hannah, who had witnessed the dispute suddenly felt a vibration. A notification landed on her phone. Holding her bread from one hand, another went straight to unlock her phone.

At the same time, her sight fell on something..which almost made her heart jump out that instant.

"J-Jenifer..I guess..you need to see this..."
