The forest fell silent as the powerful voice reverberated through the dense trees with its echo carrying an ominous weight.

Qing Li and Bai Lung exchanged a quick glance at each other, their expressions were exactly the same as the sudden tension enveloped them.

“Stay close,” Bai Lung hurriedly murmured with his voice barely hearable.

He tightened his grip on the hilt of his blade that he had purchased yesterday at a cheap price.

His eyes scanned the surroundings for any sign of other people.

If possible he didn’t want to engage with powerful foes not to mention an immortal.

The ground shook, and a massive creature emerged from the shadows.

It was a hulking beast with scales that glinted like metal and eyes that burned with a fierce intensity.

” Seems like a powerful one…,” Bai Lung said in low tone,. “This must be the guardian,” he added while keep an eye on it.
