Chapter 2548 Sect Visit
Chapter 2548 Sect Visit
Rui immediately departed from the Royal Palace at Vargard. The first thing he did was head to the town of Hrava where the Water Sect headquarters was situated. The last time he had visited it was when it had still been under construction during the war, and now it was not only complete, but had commenced operations and had even gained a lot of members joining its ranks.
In that regard, Rui was a bad sect leader.
Most sect leaders took at least a bit of interest in their sect matters even if they delegated most of it to a qualified staff and administration. Rui hadn't even so much as visited it even once since the construction commenced.
From being busy with the war and then with the Beast Incursion, he simply hadn't had the time.
WHOOSH
He arrived in the skies above the sect and gazed down at the sheer amount of activity.
"Woah…" A faint murmur escaped him. "That's… crazy."
He could sense many thousands of Apprentices, hundreds of Squires, dozens of seniors and several Masters in the depths of the large pavilion of the Water Sect. Many of them had begun training in the many training programs and techniques that the Water Sect offered to its members.
"Damn…" Rui cursed. "I should have prepared more for them."
Thankfully, the existing preparations were decently plentiful themselves. It was still nowhere near the amount of resources that the sects could offer, but it was decent. He had allowed them to make advances in thought techniques that made them more flexible and accurate in their decision-making.
He also made arrangements for the Metabody System that allowed them to adaptively evolve their Bodies to be suited to their opponents. In addition, he had imparted domains and hypnosis as well.
"Next time, I will impart a bit of the Forge of Creation as well," Rui remarked with an enthused smile.
Not only was the Water Sect an incredibly useful way of fostering innovation in the field of adaptive evolution, but it was also an incredibly good way of spreading adaptive evolution. This had been the original goal of Project Water back on Earth in the hands of John Falken, but in the hands of Rui, it had become a more selfish goal.
Initially, he had thought that this was merely due to the fact that he could become a Martial Artist in this world. But perhaps this was one difference between the two of them. Rui was more selfish while John simply couldn't be. Regardless, it was good that the Water Sect could spread adaptive evolution far and wide. Perhaps the day could come where adaptive evolution would become as ubiquitous as breathing techniques were. "I don't have too much time, but I suppose I can afford to drop in and say high at least once." He flew straight down from the skies to the Water Sect pavilion in the blink of an eye.
STEP
His arrival evoked a wave of surprise from all those around him.
"Members of the Water Sect," Rui announced. "I have arrived."
They quickly bowed with respect and awe to the founder and leader of their sect. Not a single person who joined the Water Sect was unaware of who Rui was. All of them had joined the sect because they knew how strong he was. He was among the very strongest of the strongest of Masters. They knew that he played an extraordinary role in the war and in the Beast Incursion, and was nothing short of a firm pillar that supported the Kandrian Empire's ascent to greatness.
He appeared to be larger than life to all of them. "Members of the Water Sect," he began, projecting his voice across the entirety of the sect. "I am grateful and honored that so many of you have chosen to join the sect despite my lack of presence and participation in its day-to-day matters. Unfortunately, personal matters as well as matters relating to the survival of humankind consume my time. It is impossible for me to let go of either of these. However, I will spend the entirety of today with as many members of the Water Sect as possible. I hope that you will find this experience useful and enriching."
Rui wasn't initially planning on spending too much time at the Water Sect, but he couldn't help but feel obligated to do this after he saw how many people believed in his adaptive evolution. It would be remiss of him to dismiss the Water Sect when there were so many people who were already a part of it. Also, surely human civilization could survive an additional day without him. Regardless, he immediately began with the various members, mostly the Seniors and the Masters who were able to speak with him more candidly. The Squires and Apprentices were too drowned in awe to possibly address him lightly. The gap between him and them was so enormous that just being in his presence was an unimaginable honor for most of them. He toured the entire sect with an entourage of Seniors and Masters who eagerly told him of their stories.
Many of them had mastered his adaptive evolution techniques and many of them had been broken through to the Senior or the Master Realm by none other than Rui himself. They had garnered immense gratitude and respect for the living legend.
Not only did he interact with the higher members of the Water Sect, he also passed on a myriad of useful insights regarding the various training chambers and sections within the sect. He had been highly involved with the development process with Charles DiVilliers, after all. His perspective was invaluable to all of them even as he explained the underlying philosophies that characterized each training chamber with an intimate understanding. Over the span of a day, he dedicated all his time and efforts in order to express his gratitude and appreciation to the various members of the Water Sect for joining it and practicing the path of Adaptive Evolution.
