C31 – His Provocation
“Why can’t you do it? Look at how young I am. Pretending to be my master should be a breeze for you.”
Yun Haoyan declared.
“It’s not that I can’t,” Pill King Miao Hujin began hesitantly, “But…”
“Then it’s settled!” Yun Haoyan declared decisively.
The following morning, Yun Haoyan rose from bed, invigorated. He stretched and made his way to the door.
He had a long-awaited reunion with Master Miao Hujin the day before, and they had talked for hours.
Yun Haoyan had even used the pills Master Miao Hujin carried to concoct a few more. All these pills were for his master’s use.
Master Miao Hujin’s inability to wield his strength was due to his dantian’s failure to store Spiritual Energy.
So, Yun Haoyan, with his exceptional alchemy skills, crafted a pill that could unleash Spiritual Energy.
With this pill, Master Miao Hujin would temporarily possess the power of a Martial King.
“If only I still had my Martial Emperor-level spiritual energy!” Yun Haoyan mused, then shook off the fanciful thought and strode toward the dining hall.
Just then, a brash voice echoed from outside the Yun family’s gate.
“Yun Haoyan, come out here! You think you can hit me and run? You think you can get away?”
Yun Haoyan’s brow furrowed as he walked purposefully to the door, recognizing the voice as that of the Bian family’s young lady.
“What’s all this commotion about?” Yun Haoyan asked as he approached the door, addressing the haughty young lady of the Bian family.
She stood there with several servants and a man dressed in a black robe, causing a scene.
Curious members of the Yun family had also gathered to see what the fuss was about.
“Oh, so you do dare to come out? I was sure you’d be cowering inside, hiding from the Bian family,” she taunted.
Yun Haoyan dismissed her with a wave of his hand, “Let’s get this over with. I have a meal waiting for me. Don’t delay my lunch.”
“You…” The young lady of the Bian family fumed, turning to her brother, “Look at him, he’s mocking me!”
The man in black next to her flashed what he thought was a suave smile, took a step forward, and began,
“I hail from the Bian family. My name is…”
“I don’t care who you are. Do you think I’m interested in knowing everyone’s name?
If you’re here to fight, then get on with it and then get out of here!” Yun Haoyan cut the man off before he could finish.
“Well then, let’s see what you’ve got!” The man in black’s expression soured as his aura began to swell.
“Martial Master Realm!”
The Yuns erupted in astonishment. This was a genuine Martial Master Realm presence.
He was beyond the level of any Martial Warrior present.
“I didn’t expect the Bian family’s eldest son to have ascended to the Martial Master realm.
Indeed, the four great families are formidable.”
Amidst the Yuns’ astonishment, the Bian family’s young lady swelled with pride.
“Scared, little Yun family runt? Come here and kowtow a few times, and maybe I’ll spare you.”
“This is outrageous!”
“How dare they insult our young master, calling him a runt? We’ll beat them down.”
“She wants our young master to kowtow? Utterly ridiculous. Let’s take them on together and make sure they don’t leave.”
