The Prodigies War

Chapter 1970: A Legend that Shakes the World

Ruo Su gazed absently in a daze. Memories came flooding back.

“After receiving Master’s approval, Eldest Senior Brother was overjoyed and he opened up the Absolute Origin Dao Court not long after leaving the sect.

“However, at that time, he was the only one in Absolute Origin Dao Court. Moreover, the newly established sect was unable to provide blessed grounds for cultivation and so it wasn’t particularly well known.

“Eldest Senior Brother is very prideful and refused to receive any help from powers related to Fangchun Mountain. He started to conquer the world alone.

“He took on various identities, including a sword cultivator, blade cultivator, meditation cultivator, spirit cultivator and physical cultivator...

“No matter what identity he used, or how many battles he had fought, every time that he won, he would declare that he’s a disciple of Absolute Origin Dao Court.

“As he fought across the world, the reputation of Absolute Origin Dao Court spread and it began to capture the attention of countless powerful factions.

“It is said that Absolute Origin Dao Court is full of Emperors, and it is incredibly mysterious and unfathomable. No one even knows where the main gate of Absolute Origin Dao Court is.

“Just like that, Absolute Origin Dao Court became more and more famous.”

At this point, Ruo Su couldn’t help but smile. “But no one knows that the various disciples of Absolute Origin Dao Court were actually Eldest Senior Brother in disguise.”

“Even some Ancestors were deceived and really thought that there was a terrifying sect in the world that was made up of so many Emperor Stage disciples. Junior Brother, don’t you think our Eldest Senior Brother is amazing?”

Lin Xun nodded repeatedly, his heart shaking like crazy.

One person transformed into countless identities and set up a sect that shook the starry sky!

The most incredible thing was that no one in the world had realized the truth. This showed that their eldest senior brother’s cultivation and ability were both remarkable!

Ruo Su continued, “In the ancient era, an Ancestor Court Assembly was held in the Mythical Huang Dao Court, and the five dao courts, Primordial, Heaven and Earth, Mythical Huang, All-Demon and Panwu, each sent out an Ancestor Stage expert to compete with Eldest Senior Brother.

“If Eldest Senior Brother had lost any one of the matches, then Absolute Origin Dao Court was not allowed to join the ranks of the dao courts.

“I believe you already know the result. Eldest Senior Brother won every battle and he alone quelled the arrogance of the five dao courts!

“When the Ancestor Court Assembly came to an end, Absolute Origin Dao Court also successfully became one of the great Six Courts and shook the world.

“However, in order to save face, the five dao courts simply announced to the outside world that the Absolute Origin Dao Court had received their unanimous approval and made no mention of the fact that the Ancestors of their sect lost to Eldest Senior Brother in a duel.

“But we disciples of Fangchun Mountain know everything.”

Ruo Su’s face glowed with pride.

Lin Xun stood transfixed with shock.

One person was able to crush the five Ancestors dispatched by the five dao courts!

What kind of powerful cultivation must one have to achieve this?

How extraordinary was their Eldest Senior Brother back then?

A sect full of Emperors, all return to absolute origin.

Who would have known that this supreme sect, which was regarded as the most mysterious and low-profile of the Great Six Courts, was actually founded and held up alone by Eldest Senior Brother?

This was simply a legend that would shake the entire world!

Lin Xun couldn’t even imagine that such an extraordinary man existed in this world. Eldest Senior Brother...is truly a god-like being!

Lin Xun inexplicably thought back to the scenes he saw when he inherited the Sacred Combat Art in the Return Dominion—The tilted stone tablet, the collapsed main gate, an overbearing and majestic figure kneeling among the ruins, looking extremely lonely, sorrowful, and tragic.

He was once rebellious and unruly, hoping to conquer all nine heavens and all lands. Everyone in the world trembled at his power.

When enemies came charging over in droves, he just rose silently, standing in front of the collapsed main gate, and looked up fearlessly.

He killed across the nine heavens!

Those scenes conveyed an indescribable feeling of tragedy and sorrow...

Then, Lin Xun thought of the Kunlun Dominion again and the purple-clothed girl who was waiting in the flat peach secret realm.

Countless years passed by.

She still waited patiently.

He will return!

She firmly believed it.

Lin Xun suddenly could not control himself and asked, “What happened next? Where did Eldest Senior Brother go after that?”

The question took Ruo Su aback, then her beautiful face became contorted with a complicated expression. “After Master left and went to an unknown place, Eldest Senior Brother, as the first disciple of Fangchun Mountain, declared war on the Nameless Esteemed Emperor.

Lin Xun’s heart throbbed. He had a bad feeling.

Sure enough, Ruo Su continued, “No one knows the outcome of that battle, but after the battle, our Fangchun Mountain suffered a great calamity...”

“The Dao War of Emperors?” Lin Xun blurted out.

Ruo Su nodded. “That’s right. Because of this, Eldest Senior Brother felt extremely guilty and believed that he was responsible for causing disaster to the sect which led to many of his fellow junior brothers and sisters losing their lives.”

Her voice was low and filled with sadness. “In truth, none of us blamed him, but he couldn’t forgive himself.”

As though not wanting to think about the past anymore, Ruo Su took a deep breath, suppressed her emotions and said, “After that, Eldest Senior Brother left his legacy in the Return Dominion and left alone. He said that the day he returned is the day he would exact revenge.”

Lin Xun sighed.

He understood.

He had once entered Return Dominion and had also obtained the Sacred Combat Art inheritance left by his eldest senior brother, so he was absolutely certain that his eldest senior brother had indeed left.

“However, no one knows where Eldest Senior Brother has gone,” stated Ruo Su. “Some people say that he went to the Nameless Forbidden Area, one of the Three Great Forbidden Grounds of Kunlun Dominion. It is considered the most dangerous place because almost no one has ever returned alive after entering it.

“Some say that Eldest Senior Brother went to explore the All-Wonder Dominion because legend has it that it holds a power that can destroy taboo calamity power.

“Some also say that Eldest Senior Brother has reincarnated and is trying to recreate a path that can suppress all taboo calamities in the world.”

Ruo Su sighed, “None of these is an outcome that we junior brothers and sisters want to see. We just hope...that he will return safe and well.”

Lin Xun murmured, “Return safe and well... Yes, only when you are alive will there be hope...”

After settling her emotions, Ruo Su looked at Lin Xun and said softly, “Let’s not talk about the past. Junior Brother, now do you understand the relationship between the Absolute Origin Dao Court and our Fangchun Mountain?”

Lin Xun nodded.

Of course he understood that Absolute Origin Dao Court was founded alone by his eldest senior brother!

However, he still had a question in his mind. “But why is Emperor Ancestor Qingye of Mythical Huang Dao Court so certain that you are also from Absolute Origin Dao Court?”

“Although our eldest senior brother has left, we can’t just abandon the Absolute Origin Dao Court that he founded. Even though the sect has no physical building or disciples and exists only in name, we all believe that as long as Absolute Origin Dao Court continues to stand, our eldest senior brother will return one day.”

Ruo Su’s voice was firm. “Therefore, for endless years, every once in a while, I and other senior and junior brothers and sisters would roam the world using the identity of an Absolute Origin Dao Court disciple. This is to show the world that the Absolute Origin Dao Court is still around!”

After a pause, she continued, “As for my relationship with Emperor Ancestor Qingye, it began back in the ancient era… At that time, Emperor Ancestor Qingye had just become an Emperor, so when he heard that everyone in the Absolute Origin Dao Court were at the Emperor Stage, he was unconvinced and searched all over the world for the entrance of the Absolute Origin Dao Court.

“But how could he possibly find it? He searched for countless years, but to no avail. Yet he stubbornly refused to give up. Later, I met him and in order to make him let go of his obsession, I acted as a disciple of Absolute Origin Dao Court and gave him a beating.

“That guy is quite interesting. After taking a beating, he was unexpectedly delighted and even said that Absolute Origin Dao Court indeed lived up to its name. He also declared that he would fight me again in the future.

“I respected that he was broad-minded and honest, so I took him with me and we traveled around the world for a while. As a result, we developed a deep friendship.”

Ruo Su couldn’t help but smile.

The time when she met and became close with Emperor Ancestor Qingye was also one of her most interesting times on her Emperor journey. She regarded Qingye as her younger brother and took him to explore the world with her, living a carefree and happy life.

“I see.” Lin Xun nodded.

Eldest Senior Brother was like an inimitable legend, with an inspiring and tragic glorious past.

But Third Senior Sister Ruo Su also had her own splendid achievements.

For example, Emperor Ancestor Qingye, an Ancestor who watched over the Mythical Huang Dao Court, had suffered a beating at the hands of Third Senior Sister a long time ago!

“I will leave soon and return to my home. Otherwise, I will be targeted by the taboo calamity power. But rest assured, Junior Brother, you won’t face any more trouble with entering the Ancient Immortal Forbidden Zone.” Ruo Su smiled.

Targeted by the taboo calamity power?

Just as Lin Xun was about to ask another question, Ruo Su brought him back to the Mythical Huang Main Peak and all eyes were gathered on him again.

He held back from asking. There would be a better chance to ask the question in the future.

After all, given his current cultivation, he would not understand the significance of the taboo calamity power. Even if he knew a little about it, he would only know that it is so but not why it is so.

“Wanzhao, have you two finished chatting?” Emperor Ancestor Qingye asked with a smile.

Ruo Su had introduced herself as Wanzhao, a disciple of the Absolute Origin Dao Court, when she first met Emperor Ancestor Qingye.

Ruo Su smiled. “We have finished chatting. I also told him about some of your outstanding achievements in the past.”

Emperor Ancestor Qingye stared at her blankly for a moment, before it struck him and his expression became awkward. “Did you tell him everything?”

Ruo Su nodded. “So, you have to be nicer to him.”

Emperor Ancestor Qingye smiled wryly. “How would I dare to neglect a disciple of your Absolute Origin Dao Court? Don’t worry, I promise that he will not suffer any injustice again!”

As he said that, he shot a look at Emperor Fire Spirit not far away, causing her to freeze and her pretty face to turn pale.
