Chapter 79 Loki And Thor Part 2
79 Loki And Thor Part 2
Azmond aimlessly walked in circles, attempting to find a way out…
He really wanted to believe that an entrance would just reveal itself right before his very eyes. But he knew that was just wishful thinking. So instead of aimlessly walking into a vast horizon of sea that stretched on for untold distances,. He instead turned his attention toward the sky.
"The way out must be up there." Azmond spoke with a resolute expression. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
It was just a gut feeling of his. An instinct that told him the way out stemmed from something in the sky.
The only problem was that he didn't know how to fly, not that he would be able to fly even if he could.
This place restricted quite a number of things, and one of those things just happened to be his ability to fly.
"Maybe I can just jump really high...? It has always worked for me before, so I don't see why it would stop now." His impassive voice echoed out before his tall figure got into a leaping stance.
He was prepared to jump his way to the heavens, if need be. With one simple movement, Azmond was launched sky high as he passed hundreds of thousands of meters in one leap.
His body was now suspended in place at a height that would give even the most daring mortal, a fear of heights.
"It is a beautiful view from up here." A small, imperceptible smile almost formed on his features as he took one good look at the picturesque scenery below him.
The splendiferous sight of the visions produced by this dimension being reflected off the ocean floor was indeed a beautiful one.
However, even with an indescribably beautiful sight such as the one before him, he still had a goal to accomplish. He wouldn't allow himself to leave his Little Ice Bunny alone forever. He had already been gone long enough, although he didn't know the exact amount of time that he had spent asleep after acquiring Boundless Restoration. He knew that it was at least a few days. A few days away from his Crystalline was something devastating to Azmond. He wouldn't allow himself to enjoy his time while his love could have already awoken. She might even be walking around searching for him. What if she got into some sort of trouble because of her ongoing search...?
Azmond's eyes darkened a little while suspended hundreds of thousands of meters in the sky. His thoughts were about to swirl down a black abyss of no return. "Is that a crack in the sky...?" A quizzical look formed on Azmond's features as he saw a peculiar disturbance in the sky above him.
He took a better look with his enhanced vision, and it seems that his theory was correct. "That is most definitely a crack in the sky. But, why is it there?" A pondering look emerged on his face as he thought about the reason for such a weird oddity. However, he soon gave up on thinking altogether. It was never his forte to begin with.
"Meh, I'm always thinking too much about the 'why's'; I should be more focused on the 'do's'. Why don't we test this new mindset of mine right now then?" A small smirk appeared on his face before gravity took hold of him.
His body was sent spiraling toward the ground. A loud explosion was heard when he made contact with the surface, as slight ripples began to form in the water that lay beneath a thin layer of space.
Azmond's arms were crossed his entire way down; that seemed to be his preferred way of 'bounce travel'.
A term that he coined after figuring that he needed to call it something. After all, it would be his main source of transportation until he breaks through to the Foundation Establishment Realm.
"Now to go back up, this time, I need to go higher." His indifferent voice echoed out, followed by another series of loud explosions as he was aiming to reach a height far further than he had made it last time.
A few sonic booms later, and the cold countenance of Azmond's was seen hovering in the air right next to the 'crack in the sky'.
It seemed that the restrictions on flying only applied to 'flying'. Azmond was still able to use his superior physical strength and a very slim amount of his Qi to remain levitating in the air.
The rules of this place didn't appear to follow any common-world logic. It almost seemed like the rules were set in place to prevent anyone other than someone like Azmond from entering it.
After all, out of all the cultivators in existence, how many of them put even the smallest bit of focus into improving their physical bodies? The answer to that question is a percentage so small that it would be a miracle to find one body cultivator out of several trillion people.
Body cultivation was not as simple as adding an easily acquired addition to your total strength. It was an art. A very special art that required many diverse factors to be able to effectively gain something out of it.
You needed to have the talent, the technique manual to cultivate that talent, a will strong enough to endure intense pain, and most important of all, you needed time.
Azmond was an anomaly, so to speak. He was able to start cultivating his physical strength right off the bat. He did it without a proper catalyst to wield that power as well. Such as a manual specific to body cultivation. If he ever did obtain a technique related to physical cultivation, then let's just say that his physical strength would not be as simple as it was now.
Regardless of that information, Azmond wasn't exactly following the common path of most cultivators. He was treading on a path unique to himself…
A path that no other would ever walk.
