The Strongest Conquest System

Chapter 89: The Divine Phoenix

"He's older than most stars out there, yet he carries himself as if being hundreds of times older than any known civilization is the most ordinary thing in the world..."

This realization further stunned him as he remembered the blonde trickster mentioning that 'The Order of the Eternal Flame' was even older than himself...

What kind of organization could possibly endure for over a hundred million years!?

....

"Snap out of it, mortal." A dry voice echoed out as Loki was already in front of Azmond. He was waving his hand in front of his face, attempting to take him out of his stupor.

It worked like a charm as Azmond snapped back to reality and saw the sly face of the blonde pervert. Apprehension took over his actions as he backed up dozens of steps. He stopped after a few moments as a weary expression emerged on his face.

His eyes began darting left and right, keeping an eye out for the big red pervert as well.

He didn't want to be sneakily attacked by two perverts at once!

Luckily or unluckily for him, Thor was still near the large chess board. His face, on the other hand, was emanating vexation.

He was clearly fuming at the top from being ignored by not just his brother but a mere mortal as well.

As one could imagine, he was not in the most jovial of moods right now. The urge to go and crush some Niflheim giants was clawing away at his rational side. He just wanted to destroy something.

After all, Thor was a bellicose god to his core; no one in existence could refute that fact

.....

Meanwhile, a few meters away from the irritated red giant, two beings with oddly similar personalities were seen conversing.

Azmond had already made his way back to the blonde pervert after a few moments, although he returned reluctantly, he might add.

He still didn't like the blonde pervert god one bit, but he knew he had little wiggle room to defy his will. So, like the man Azmond was...

He returned to the blonde perverts side

The fact that he would certainly lose wasn't what deterred him from defying the blonde pervert. It was that he would die a useless death and subsequently leave his Little Ice Flower all alone in this world.

Azmond wasn't afraid to fight a battle where the odds were stacked against him, but inciting the blonde perverts ire enough that the discourse devolved into a battle to the death would lead to more than just 'The odds stacked against him'.

He would instantly die. He would die the very moment he tried to resist. He knew that. Loki and Thor also knew that irrevocable fact.

So, why should he attempt something as stupid as going against the blonde pervert's wishes?

He hardened his resolve enough that he was willing to play coy, for now

"Do you have any other questions, Mortal? Or can we finally get back to the main discussion?" A slight hint of annoyance formed on Loki's features. The back and forth with this mortal was becoming very bothersome, to say the least.

Azmond was shaken out of his concentrated state as he heard the flat voice of Loki echo out. 'I need to stop getting lost in thought so much. It has happened way too often since I began talking to this blonde pervert.' His eyes refocused as his gaze traveled back to the blonde pervert.

A pervert, who was currently swinging his arms around in front of his face.

'...Hmm, this dude must've lost his brain to degeneration. I pity him, but that is just the way life is always throwing curve balls your way.'

'This guy just got hit so hard by a curveball that his brain became akin to that of a monkey. Why else would he be swinging his arms like a fool right now?' An empathetic look emerged on Azmond's face before an aura of sympathy began leaking out into the surroundings.

Loki noticed the oddity right away and denoted the source as being because of the mortal. 'Is this human child pitying me right now?? Why?' He brooded over the subject for a moment before giving up on understanding the motives behind the mortals' actions.

The thought process of Azmond was something beyond even his understanding

"Do you have any questions or not, human?" An impatient voice sounded out as Loki began tapping his feet against the black surface.

Azmond, noticing the displeased expression on Loki's face, decided to stop playing around. "No, I don't."

"Very well, then let us talk about the 'Order Of The Eternal Flame' and just what that name will mean for your future." An emotionless voice resounded across the pocket dimension as a feeling of severeness permeated outward.

Azmond realized this was no longer the time to pass around quips, as he felt that the next words Loki spoke would determine his fate. This feeling of his also told him that Loki was about to go into great detail about The Order Of The Eternal Flame.

All he knew so far about this 'Order Of The Eternal Flame' was that it was a very elusive group of beings, and above all, it was extremely powerful

His perception also told him that this 'Order Of The Eternal Flame' had more than just a little bit to do with his recently obtained |Boundless Restoration|. He assumed this based on instinct. But had his instincts been wrong a single time before?

...

"The Order Of The Eternal Flame is a group of enigmatic beings that are descended from divine mythical beasts. Or more specifically, one singular type of mythical beast, the one that could be a contender for the most fearsome of them all"

Azmond listened with rapt attention, as he and Loki had already pulled out a couple seats. Anticipation filled his heart as he waited with bated breath for the next words to fall out of Loki's mouth.

Thor had also made his way over to this conversation, but he was just an onlooker at this point. He saw no real value he could bring to this conversation that he hadn't already put out there.

He just didn't want to be left alone in a corner

"The name of that divine mythical beast is"

The air within the pocket dimension came to a pin drop silence. An entire dimension seemed to freeze upon hearing the buildup for a name that was sanctimonious for most.

The silence consumed the pocket dimension for what felt like an eternity before the silence came to an end. Followed by the vocalization of a sacred name...

"The Divine Phoenix!"

RAAA!

The very fabric of the universe began to resonate with the pronunciation of three small words... Three measly words that would incite complete annihilation to entire planes of existence if the symbolization of that word ever became corporeal.
