The Strongest Interstellar Commander

Chapter 189: Onwards To Shanhai Pass!

Chapter 189: Onwards To Shanhai Pass!

Three days had passed in a flash. Under the resentful eyes of Lin Zhen and Ed, Lin Fan set off with his two children.

A few days later, Lin Fan’s 1st Legion brought 2,000 engineering ships as well as 10,000 transport ships to their destination, a place between Barnard and Tianyuan IV.

The area was dark and devoid of anything. If it weren’t for the wormhole, humans might not have been able to visit this place without thousands of years passing. However, amidst this empty darkness was a special place.

Based on the images the Humans obtained, there was a circular area with a diameter of 10 kilometers, at a distance of 5 million kilometers in front of the fleet. This area was blue like the ocean, and there would be ‘waves’ rising from time to time.

“Is this the wormhole? It’s blue?”

“Legion Commander, according to the data, this wormhole can only be seen from the front. Its sides had no thickness, so it will become unobservable from that angle.”

Liang Xue explained.

Lin Fan remembered from the various film and television works in his previous life, there were numerous speculations on what wormholes looked like. However, the actual wormhole was different from these speculations.

“It’s time to set off. Order the entire fleet to adjust the formation, and split up in groups of 10. The 1st to 10th Fleets will enter in order, followed by the engineering fleet, the transport fleet, then finally the 11th and 12th fleets!”

“Yes!”

Following Lin Fan’s order, all of the fleets began to adjust their formations. Around 10 minutes later, the first group of warships belonging to the 1st Fleet approached the wormhole.

Observing from the side, one could see that as the ship entered the wormhole, the ship seemed to be cut in half and disappeared.

It’s like stabbing a pencil through paper, but the pencil doesn’t pierce through the other side of the paper and instead disappears as it was pushed into the paper.

Soon, the second group followed. Before long, the entire 1st Fleet had all entered.

The journey through the wormhole was very strange. When Lin Fan appeared 7,800 light-years away, he did not feel any passage of time. It was as if he had just entered the wormhole and the next second, he was already 7,800 light-years away!

He didn’t feel as if a few minutes had passed while they were in the wormhole. If the location and time had not changed, Lin Fan would even think that he had not moved at all and was still in the same place. It was a very interesting experience.

It took more than a day for the 20,000 warships of the 1st Fleet to pass through the wormhole, and it took almost a month for the entire army to get through the wormhole. After all, the entrance of the wormhole was only 10 kilometers wide. On average, only 10 warships could enter per minute. After all, the warships needed to be at a safe distance away from each other.

When all of the warships had arrived, Lin Fan immediately held a virtual combat meeting.

In the conference room, the holograms of the eleven Fleet Commanders were projected on both sides of the conference table. Of course, the commander of the Second Fleet was currently represented by Chris’s former Adjutant, Bartram.

“Everyone, we are currently more than 7,800 light-years away from Earth, and our goal is here!”

Lin Fan pointed to a position in the virtual star map projected around him.

“This place is around 200 light-years away from us. It belongs to a Level 3 Civilization called the Orr Republic. However, from today, it will be called the Shanhai Pass. It is also the place where we will be stationed for a long time in the future.”

“The information about the Great Interstellar Wall project has already been sent to you before our departure. I think everyone should understand the importance of the Shanhai Pass to the Federation. The Orr Republic could only consider themselves as being unlucky!”

Lin Fan smiled when he said this, and the other commanders also laughed a few times.

No one present was vegetarian. Everyone had long been accustomed to the Rules of Space, which was the strong preyed on the weak!

“According to the Intel gathered by the exploration team, there’s about 300,000 warships in the Orr Republic! They are all concentrated on the exit of the Star Path, on the other side of the barren starless area!”

“In addition to this, there is a military fortress located on the orbit of its only Living Planet.”

After Lin Fan switched the star map to the star map of Shanhai Pass, he pointed to the relevant area and said.

“I am now assigning the combat tasks. The 3rd to 10th Fleets are responsible for destroying the Orr Republic’s fleet on the defense line of the Star Path. Emma is responsible for the overall command! After settling that, you can join the others in the planetary sweeping mission.”

“The 2nd Fleet will be divided into five squadrons. You will set up defense lines at the entrances of the other five Star Paths, and block all possible fleeing enemies!”

“The 1st Fleet will be responsible for the cleanup of the Living Planet!”

“The 11th and 12th Fleets are responsible for escorting the engineering fleet along with the transport fleet. You will warp 1 light-year outside the Shanhai Pass and wait for further orders!”

“Alright, the above is all of the arrangements. If there is no problem, then get ready. The battle will officially start in 3 hours!”

“Yes!”

The eleven commanders stood up and responded at the same time, before disappearing from the conference room one by one.

More than 50 days later.

The Vellas Star System was a large Star System with 87 planets in it. It was the border node of the Orr Republic and the only Star System connected to the other end of the wasteland.

Since this was the only hub on both sides of the starless zone, the Babawi Empire sent a message to the Level 3 Civilization of the Orion’s Arm Branch, saying to not have any battles in Vellas. Otherwise, the Babawi Empire will personally punish the said civilizations.

Therefore, the Orr Republic had not deployed many troops here, only one legion. After all, for thousands of years, no civilization had dared to do anything here.

As for the stationed legion, they were simply collecting tolls on the defense line of the Star Path. Afterall, the leisurely years of no combat made them basically incompetent.

Wilson, the governor of Vellas, was currently on vacation on the only Living Planet.

Unbeknownst to everyone, the biggest crisis in thousands of years was about to come!
