The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

The atmosphere of the dining room was quiet, so quiet that even the sound of dropping needles could be heard, but it was comforting for the people sitting in the room. It was not every day they get to enjoy a meal peacefully being the head of their respective family businesses.

Even though Long Shaoming was the head of the Long clan but all the major responsibilities were burdened by Long Jie along with LG whereas Zhenyi was related to Xin business both legal and illegal. And today after experiencing another side of Long Jie, she was somewhat perplexed. Too bad, she was not here for getting to know each other but for business. Strictly business.

Looking at the rigid beauty before him, Long Jie was getting a headache. Though they had a very peaceful lunch but his fiance was completely business. They discussed Air-China and what she expected from LG. Even when she was entirely business-like, his focus was completely scattered. He was not here for the business meeting in the first place, but for the lunch date in his own twisted way. Or saying he was not even a little bit interested in Air-China would be correct.

"So you agree with my conditions?" Zhenyi asked Long Jie as they went through the documents.

"Absolutely," answered Long Jie calmly because he didn't find anything wrong with her demands.

" What will it take to sell the rest of 22℅ shares to Xin Cooperation," Zhenyi asked as she squinted his eyes towards him as if she was trying to read him.

He arched a brow in response as if to ask if she was joking. Getting no response in return, he understood his cat-eyes was so damm serious.

"Are you serious?" Long Jie asked him verbally and she nodded.

"Mr. Long-"

"Call me by my name "

"Mr. Long -"

"Call me by my name Zhenyi, then we can discuss the rest of the shares"

Zhenyi contemplated for a moment before concluding because calling him Jie was easier than getting shares from him. So what if she had to give in before his stupid demand as long as she was getting something more valuable in return. As for calling him Jie, she had to call him after their marriage. Sooner the better.

"Okay! Jie can we discuss the shares now?" She asked him earning a smile from him.

"One more time"

"What?"

"I said call me by my name one more time"

"Jie, can we discuss the shares now"

"Just Jie"

"Are you serious?" Zhenyi asked and saw Long Jie nodding.

Zhenyi made a sour face but said "Jie"

If not for that 22% of the share, the man would have been dead by now and even his dead body was of no use to her.

"Jie sounds a little weird to me. Don't call me tha-" Long Jie was about to complete his sentence when Zhenyi's voice broke out.

"You are right! Calling you Jie is indeed weird. So Long Jie or Mr. Long will do" Zhenyi desperately said. If her subordinate saw her now, they might puke blood.

" No, I was saying hearing you calling me Jie sounds somewhat distant to me. Call me more intimately like Ah-Jie. Yes! Ah-Jie is perfect"

"Like hell, I will call you Ah-Jie, you bastard"

"See how great it sounds"

" Not only you left your brain cells at home but you turned deaf too," retorted Zhenyi.

"What's wrong with my ears? They are working perfectly fine," Long Jie immediately said dramatically.

"Oh really? If they had been working fine as you say, you would have heard my whole sentence not just a part of it," said Zhenyi while shooting daggers at the man in front of her.

"Trust me, sweetheart, I'd heard what you said I am

Just concentrating on what's important!"

" I am never calling you by that weird name. Ever!"

"Here I'm willing to sell those shares to you if agree to call me Ah-Jie forever," said Long Jie. Actually, he was very serious when he said he was ready to DISCUSS those shares if she would call him but his name but they 'give an inch and they'll take a mile ', that was what Long Jie was doing. Never had he ever behaved in such a hooligan style but he was rejoicing her reactions.

"You are a very bad businessman Long Jie. Did somebody ever told you?," Zhenyi said after a minute.

Long Jie shook his head and said in a very unusual tone, "There is no business within a family sweetheart,"

"But I'm not your family"

"Yet"

"What?"

He chuckled lightly before saying," I said you are not my family yet but you will be very soon just like I'm going to be yours"

"We will see"

Who would have thought the two people who despised each other's existence even before the meeting, would be enjoying a peaceful lunch followed by a healthy banter. Wasn't it what they call relationship goals? Absolutely not!

After a pause, Zhenyi asked again.

" You are seriously not selling those shares?"

Long Jie pressed his lips to hide his smile before saying, "I gave you a choice, sweetheart."

"Cut the bullshit. Long Jie, we both know, I would never agree to that stupid condition. Moreover, you won't sell them. May I know why?"

Long Jie was about to reply when her emergency phone rang and the other person said something that shook her very world from its axis.
