The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

The depressing and funreal atmosphere of the hospital was adding more to Zhenyi's agony but she couldn't display it .She was sitting on the same couch for the last two hours but her mind was everywhere. Earlier she was angry at Sam but at this moment, all she felt was rage at herself because she was utterly helpless.She and Sam fought like cats and dogs but like birds of feather, they flock together.

The red light of the operation theater was on which connoted that the surgery was still ongoing.

The nurses were running with their instruments in hands, some to room no.301 and other to room no. 303. She couldn't make out of their expressions that what was transpiring in operation theater.

Nurse 1: " Nurse Lao, quickly go to room no. 301 and bring all these medicines, the patient's condition is serious."

Nurse 2: "Head nurse Qiao, Doctor Su is calling you."

Nurse 3: "Head nurse, Dr. Su instructed you to call doctor Xu immediately the patient in room no. 301 is suffering from perioperative ischemic stroke."

And it went like this for hours....

Meanwhile, Zhenyi's heart was in her mouth and Long Jie who was holding her ice-cold hands had mixed feelings. He didn't know who the men in O.T was to her but dared not to ask afraid of the answer.Zhenyi was constantly staring at the sealed door with exasperation but what she didn't noticed was how firmly she'd held long Jie's hand who was constantly whispering assurances to her. Perhaps, both of them didn't notice how close they were to each other.

On the side, Fan Bingbing was slumbering when she got a phone call. She scowled when she saw it was Alexander, her boss's security head nothing good came out of talking to this guy.Neverthless, she picked the call

"Hello, Ms. Fa-"

"Cut the greeting Alexander and come to point"

"Mr. Fan, you've to leave for China now as ordered by boss"

"You have got to be kidding me! It's 2:00 am in Country B"

"It's 8:00 in Japan."

"You're in Japan?"

"No Ms.Fan I'm in China."

"YOU-"

"Please Ms. Fan leave for China now. It's emergency"

Fan Bingbing huffed but agreed. In their line of work, there were no fixed hours. She was directly under the command of Xin Zhenyi and no one said no to her.

"Can you tell me what is emergency this time?"

"I'm sorry but the information is confidential. Please, get ready mam the private jet is ready and driver is waiting at your door step", Alexander said and disconnected the call.He siged! He dared not tell her of Sam Qins condition. The woman loved him very much that he felt pity for her.

Long Jir saw that she had no intention of turning her eyes from the closed door so he tried to initiate a conversation or argument, whichever to distract her for a moment. Though, one couldn't find a single expression of hers out of place, he could tell the tsunami surging inside her.

Long Jie shifted closer to her and said, "The hospital has nice ambience."

Seriously Long Jie? Hospital has nice ambiance?

Zhenyi looked up at the man who tried to initiate the talk, "Offcourse, but the hospital is not a place worth visiting. I still prefer irritating supermarket than a depressing hospital "

"Never knew supermarkets are irritating," uttered Long Jie. "But if you say so"

"I prefer anything but hospitals and doctors," mumbled Zhenyi but it was audible enough him.She had lost many things here be it her mother or.....

"Jie, what you do when things don't go as you plan? Or when your loved ones are fighting for their life."

Something snapped inside him as she asked him the question. He didn't know how the man lying inside was related to her but a very ugly feeling which was utterly foreign to him was cropping up.He glanced at the woman beside him who was staring blankly, her shoulders slumped, eyes empty and face emotionally blank.That was not his Cat-eyes. His woman was an angry lioness who would be dammed than to surrender her weapons before enemy or life. Nonetheless, he responded to her question.

" Honestly, I do nothing. I just wait because I know I'll survive just like I survived earlier. Zhenyi, if you think things are getting bad every minute and there is no escape to it, just wait and let the hurricane pass because there will be the next day and you can rebuild the things Hurricane destroyed. Perhaps,this time more consolidated than before"

Long Jie didn't know what came over him when he said all these things. It was senseless even to him. Or probably, he went down that Lane of memories that was stifled deep into his steel heart.

"As for when your loved ones are lying there" he pointed towards the O.T. " I don't want to think about it"
